"Consistency is our trademark."
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality.
Our Host was truly The Most! Our table was set and we were presented with the menu.
Our Celebration for our Sister’s 70th was filled with laughter and the meal
was outstanding and each bite craved for more.
The other Server was very attentive and friendly…
As a surprise, my Sister was presented with a mouthwatering slice of Blackforest
Cake with a candle on top!
Thanks 🙏 to Elizabeth’s for making her day so memorable!
We made a 7:00pm reservation and arrived on time. It took several minutes for anyone to even acknowledge we were waiting to be seated. After being shown to a table we sat for a period of time before the waiter asked the bus person to bring us menus. At that same time he was taking the order from a table near us. As soon as he finished taking their order he turned and placed their menus on our table. NO SIR- we’re in the middle of a pandemic and those should have been cleaned before being handed to another patron!!!
Took quite a long time before taking our drink orders. Once those arrived our appetizer and dinner orders were taken. In the meantime two other tables were filled with new patrons. While we waited for our appetizers to arrive we observed this waiter deliver dinner plates to these two tables that were seated after us. The appetizers, once they arrived, were mediocre at best and over priced. We then proceeded to wait another 30 min and had still not received our dinner order. It’s now 8:45 and we needed to leave the restaurant at 9:00 to get to our next destination. Eventually our plates arrived. My husband was not served what he ordered and the server never even come to explain that the kitchen changed his order due to running out of spatzle. So now we have to gulp down a few bites of mediocre food, ask for to-go boxes, pay the bill, and run.
It was a terrible experience and we will never return there again!
The food need better plating, better presentation. It might help. Staff worked very hard, since it seems to be shorted of staff. Price on the restaurant/s menu is different from the menu showing on Open Table.
Tips should be included as a final price of each item.
Tips it is too busy old style of 20 century.
If I go for example to massage therapeutic it is $120 , no one ask for a tip. So restaurant should charge for a dinner for example $50 per person. If hydro bill go up or waiter wants raise than next year for the same thing you pay $56.
Tips make waiter slavery impressions
Very good food with quick service on a quiet Friday night.
Brings back memories!
Well priced. Great service. Great food. Friendly atmosphere.
The food was moderate, shrimp was not fresh.
It was my birthday dinner so I had a tiramisu for dessert; I love these and was looking forward to it but unfortunately it was the worst I have ever had. Was just a cake really.
Ok food for regular meal not for special occasion.
Birthday! My husband appreciated the cake treat!
Enjoyed our 52nd Anniversary dinner.
No idea how this place was. We went there for our reserved time and people already there with earlier reservations had been waiting for an hour. Line up was virtually out the door. Obviously they severely overbooked and then doubled booked after that. We left.
We didn't actually end up staying. Got there to find an absolutely jammed waiting area. Despite making our reservation a week and a half in advance, there was no way we would have been seated anytime around 6:30pm. It seems everyone else also had reservations for 6:15 or 6:30. And people just kept coming in the door until there was literally nowhere to stand. Something obviously went wrong in their booking plans, and not one person spoke to us or came out to explain anything or even to apologize, which is pretty poor customer service. And...it's a little hard to find an alternative at 7pm on Valentine's Day.
The food was not that great as we expected. I wasn’t asked by the waiter how do I like my rib! It was raw and I didn’t eat it at all!
we made reservations for valentines day " what was the point !!! " they had overbooked and where ignoring all the people with reservations, we all stood in line and waited for open tables to be seated on a first come basis.
The manager/owner wasn't even on site they left a young waiter in charge to explain how no one was going to be seated on time.
There was 15 people waiting in line at any given time all night, I feel bad for the staff to be left to clean up the mess created by the owner/manager.
This wasn't our first time at this restaurant but this will be our LAST.
Our first time and very much enjoyed our meal. We will be back again.
This continues to be a great location for couples as well as groups. Service and food are excellent and prices are reasonable. Schnitzels are tender and delicious with generous serving portions.
Staff always goes above & beyond. The food is excellent. Can’t recommend this place enough.
The schnitzels were really good here. However, the “prime rib” was a rib streak and was extremely tough. The spätzle was probably the worst I have ever had - a pile of tasteless mush. But the worst part of this place is the service. There are not enough servers, so the wait staff are running around trying to do everything- take orders, mix drinks, deliver food, etc. They are friendly but are always in a rush and not around when you need them. I wouldn’t go back.
Excellent German food in the real European atmosphere at Elisabeth's Chalet. Liked the way the waiters dressed formally as friendly German servants. Thank you for our enjoyment during the dining out.
It was a nice evening. Schnitzel was good as always. Their beer, wine and liquor prices are on the high side.
Great place to eat wit welcoming staff and a European decor. Food is consistently good.
We enjoyed our New Year's Eve Dinner very much! Excellent service & friendliness from our server Michael. Very busy evening but our food was served prompt and hot! We have been before for luncheons, etc. & will continue to support Elizabeth's Chalet.
One of the better evenings I’ve ever had. my husband and I and another couple Had the pleasure of spending a couple of hours New Year’s Eve-unfortunately I cannot remember our waiter’s name but he was phenomenal. And the food was absolutely amazing
I was disappointed this time as were others in our group. First we requested a booth well in advance a few days before, and when we arrived the booth was still occupied. It shouldn’t have been given to others in the first place unless they pre-warned them that there was a reservation booked for 5 pm for that booth. We had to choose a different location less comfortable for special needs in our group.
We also informed them that there were two vegans attending. But despite this the specials were for meat or fish eaters with no options for vegans. When asking we felt that we were an inconvenience for them and gave up trying. It is for my husband’s special health needs. Their food is great but they need vegan options for people too!
Food is always amazing! Service excellent. Not perfect but still excellent. Will be coming back.
My wife and I wanted to take my Mother to Elizabeth's for Christmas Eve dinner so my wife and I went a few weeks earlier to try it out and everything was good so we made a reservation for the 24th. Unfortunately things on the 24th were not very good. People who were seated after us got their order taken before us and received their meals before we did. I actually had to tell one of the servers that we hadn't had our orders taken yet and if she could please send us a waitress to take our order. When the food finally arrived it was obvious the prep was rushed and unfortunately non of us enjoyed our meal and my wife's and my meals were a far cry from a few weeks earlier.
We made reservations on line but they did not have it in their book, but fortunately were able to get us a table.
The waiter never told us about the specials. We only found out there were specials because we overheard him to tell to the table beside us. We were a little disappointed as we would of ordered the specials had we heard them before ordering our food.
It was okay, staff is not very friendly and no one smiles.
The food was great and the staff is outstanding. The restaurant has a very nice ambiance to it, classy but not obnoxious. I can't say enough about how great the staff was at taking care of us. A water glass was never allowed to get to half, never mind empty.
The entrees were reasonably priced ($23-$30 per person) Which was a good value for the large size portions and the quality of the food. The only really nitpicky thing was that for 9 people they brought out 2 baskets of bread (that was completely delicious and devoured) and then to get more bread while waiting for our food, they charge extra. It seemed an odd thing to do for the quality of the restaurant.
They did make our night perfect and we enjoyed it very much and would return. Thanks so much.
Elizabeth’s reminds me of being in Germany visiting my family. The food is excellent and the service is always wonderful. The staff are so friendly and attentive. We always enjoy our meals at Elizabeth’s and look forward to returning!
Once again I did not enjoy being here. This was my moms favorite restaurant in the past. I could cook the same bland food at home. I found the steak dissapointing especially for that price. The French onion soup should not taste like that, and it boasts about the cheese in it, I needed a magnifying glass to find the cheese in this TINY bowl of soup. I am sure the cook is great, just not my thing I guess. I was raised on this kind of food. The red cabbage had no flavour. The rice pudding is too expensive. On the plus side, the amount you got on your plate was impressive. I think the menu needs more choices added to it. Unfortunately I don't think I will be back.
Great food, great service and nice peaceful and festive environment.
Had reservation for an important birthday with someone coming in from out of town. Arrived and lobby was packed no attention for half an hour and reservation book was at front desk no one there to assist so clearly was overbooked so I wrote on reservation book next to my name that I was here - waited and left. Very disappointed
Amazing food, fantastic service, and a great value. We will be returning many times.
Great food! Friendly staff! Was a nice dinner with my wife and we will deflnitely be back for some schnitzel!
For the most part I found th the prices to be very expensive and the the shitzel very thin it's favvore was good but not as good as others I have had and the crab cake was offull with no crab favored at all you could not tell that it was crab at all. I would not recommend this restraint to friends!
Liver & onions...who knew?!...best I've ever had!
Consistent good food. Friendly staff, good service. Tasty and hot food.
Very good Schnitzel and generous portions. We returned after many years and the food quality and ambiance is still great!
