We ate here the last night of our honeymoon and had a terrible experience. We waited over 1.5 hours for entrees and by the time it came, we just wanted to leave. Such a disappointment for what was supposed to be a special night.

Our family had all different entrees & every single one of them was delicious. My husband really enjoyed the meatloaf & even commented that he doesn’t usually like Brussel sprouts, but these were delicious. I had the shrimp & grits—superb & our son had the butter chicken & was in heaven. The view from the windows during sunset was incredible, the service was impeccable, & this was the perfect ending to our Asheville vacation.

We had dinner reservations here one night while staying at Grove Park. we ordered the Pretzel bread starter, it was very good. I wasn't super hungry, so I ordered the fried green tomatoes as my main meal. WOW, they were outstanding!!!!! Cooked to perfection!! Highly recommend those! My friend got the grill cheese and soup. She loved it!! My husband got shrimp and grits. He said they were very good. Very pretty restaurant! Great atmosphere, and the service was very good! Highly recommend this restaurant.

I have eaten at the Edison multiple times and each time I convince myself it will be different. We had 7:15 reservations and arrived early (7pm). They said we would have to wait but could go to the bar and would get us when our table was ready. After waiting 25 min at the bar I asked the hostess about our reservation. She had completely forgotten us, but did find a two top for us. We were seated next to a couple who were loud and overly affectionate. It was awkward but could not ask for another table given the difficulty of being sat in the first place. Our server was good and the food was fair. We tried to leave as fast as possible given our experience. It was not worth the price we paid for this meal.

As "locals" who have dined at GPI for over 15 years, we can tell you that the changes made after what I would call" a challenging transition to the corporate Omni profile", the staff's service and food quality have improved 4-fold. I understand a new chefs on board at the Edison, and the higher quality food preparations are certainly noticeable. Congrats!
