OK so second night in a row for dinning. Again the food was excellent the service NOT so. Found out the night before which was Valentine's day the computer system went down and the servers had to take the orders with pad and pencil. Wow how difficult was that??? Shouldn't be I grew up in the restaurant business not so difficult to take orders with pad and pencel. Well tonight the computer's were up and running not so much the service We arrived before several other tables and yet they got service of bread and water before us. We finally got our waiter to get our drinks, had to ask for bread and he took our order. We were planning on having entrees so we ordered appetizers first. Never saw the waiter again and when we did he came with a dessert menu! LMAO...This restaurant has won dinning awards but I'm guessing it's for the food because the service is LMAO. We were in town for the Jazz Weekender at the Quail Lodge. We were at the same Quail Lodge last year. Service was outstanding. Not so this year. This is my home town and it was disappointing to say the least to find out that the quality of service has sunk to only fair. I put I would recommend to a friend as YES since there is no MAYBE but I will warn them the service is totally lacking.

Food always good. Service a bit discombobulated like where was our server to start out??? Once the servers got themselves organized as to who was on what tables then the service went up a notch. We like Edgar’s as the food is very good and in the past service has been excellent so hopefully this evening’s service was just a hiccup!

Edgar's is a nice place for lunch with friends. The salads are generous and very tasty. The coffee is also quite good. The service is very good as well.

I have been less than thrilled with the new menu. The prices have risen once again and I find the salads are very expensive for what is offered. If you want salmon on your salad it's another $17! The menu is pretty decent overall. The whole place has gotten overpriced for what they are offering.

This was one of the best Thanksgiving dinners out that I have ever had. I loved the atmosphere with families eating around us, it felt like a lively ho holiday. Very warm and inviting. The food was really good and that's saying alot since I'm a vegetarian. I had the cauliflower chestnut soup and it was so creamy and yummy, I have to try that recipe at home. Then the vegetarian paella with lots of mushrooms was very fulfilling. Just had a couple bites of my husband's pumpkin pie, also delicious. The service was a little slow but that's to be expected on a holiday. Will definitely go back.

We dined here twice while staying at the Lodge, once for dinner without a reservation when we were treated rather poorly by the hostess who seemed to be inconvenienced by us showing up. And again for lunch with a reservation . I feel like some of the female wait staff here have an attitude, there is a rush to order and a feeling like making a slight modification to an item is not welcomed me

I cant figure out if they are a nice resort restaurant or a casual after golf place. The ambience and service say very casual but the prices are more inline with a more upscale restaurant. Example, $10 for a side of potatoes...For us, we would return for the convenience and decent food, but will be wary!

An absolute disaster. Couple in front of us was seated by man behind the stand, who told us he would be right back. When he came back, he didn't seat us. He made us wait while he went to look for the hostess. She wasn't to be found. He finally seated us. We waited over 15 mins and no one came to the table. Others were trying to get the attention of waiters, trying to order, trying to get a check, etc. Our waiter came to adjacent tables, but never acknowledged us in any way, no one took an order. So, we grabbed an Uber and went downtown Carmel for dinner.

We really enjoy having lunch on the patio. It's very relaxing and the food is always delicious.
We especially enjoy going the day before the Quail car show watching all the beautiful cars
setting up for the show on Friday.

Ordered roast chicken. Very dry. Mashed potatoes were very salty. Vegetable was corn. Too much starch. Wanted succulent roasted chicken dinner. This was I’ll conceived and poorly executed. Husband did enjoy smoked salmon appetizer.

Good and varied menu. Food is always fresh. Very accommodating with regard to dietary restrictions.
Very good drinks. Quiet ambiance with tables set far enough apart to ensure private conversations. View of the grounds a bonus.

Service started really, really slow. Almost non-existence. Afterwards service improved except for drinks/cocktails. We were told that the bartender was backed up. We did receive a complimentary dessert for our anniversary which was very nice. Again, overall four stars.

The new menu is great. We ate in three nights in a row and enjoyed ordering different items each night. Everything was wonderful. Wine list needs upgrading next, but the corkage fee is reasonable so we brought our own wine.
