An absolute disaster. Couple in front of us was seated by man behind the stand, who told us he would be right back. When he came back, he didn't seat us. He made us wait while he went to look for the hostess. She wasn't to be found. He finally seated us. We waited over 15 mins and no one came to the table. Others were trying to get the attention of waiters, trying to order, trying to get a check, etc. Our waiter came to adjacent tables, but never acknowledged us in any way, no one took an order. So, we grabbed an Uber and went downtown Carmel for dinner.

We really enjoy having lunch on the patio. It's very relaxing and the food is always delicious.
We especially enjoy going the day before the Quail car show watching all the beautiful cars
setting up for the show on Friday.

We just always enjoy dinner at Edgar’s. The food is great, the atmosphere is friendly and comfortable. It’s just an enjoyable place to go.

Ordered roast chicken. Very dry. Mashed potatoes were very salty. Vegetable was corn. Too much starch. Wanted succulent roasted chicken dinner. This was I’ll conceived and poorly executed. Husband did enjoy smoked salmon appetizer.

Good and varied menu. Food is always fresh. Very accommodating with regard to dietary restrictions.
Very good drinks. Quiet ambiance with tables set far enough apart to ensure private conversations. View of the grounds a bonus.

Service started really, really slow. Almost non-existence. Afterwards service improved except for drinks/cocktails. We were told that the bartender was backed up. We did receive a complimentary dessert for our anniversary which was very nice. Again, overall four stars.

I visited on my birthday so I wanted a memorable experience (which it was). My husband loved the garlic fries so much that he went back the next day just for them.

The new menu is great. We ate in three nights in a row and enjoyed ordering different items each night. Everything was wonderful. Wine list needs upgrading next, but the corkage fee is reasonable so we brought our own wine.

Ver friendly staff. Outstanding service and not to mention it but the food was delicious. The portions are generous the servers very attentive and what can I say it's at the Quail Lodge in Carmel Valley so the expectations were high and they delivered. New place to add to out restaurant list when we visit.

Edgar’s was offering a three-course featured dinner for $29.99. It included an appetizer, salad and entree. Each course was excellent and beautifully presented. The entree, roasted Alaskan Halibut, was superb. We had homemade blueberry pie and a scoop of homemade mint chocolate chip ice cream for dessert.

Service was slow. The oysters were not fully shucked, and the entree proteins were placed with the incorrect side dishes. The food itself was good. Just a bummer about the waitstaff and the final plates/ presentation of food.

I was disappointed with the service for the Brunch , I ordered hot tea and sever brought hot water only thinking that choices of tea will follow and been waiting for a long time so I asked for the tea and that was the time only that he brought the box of tea . we had waited for a long time to be served of what we ordered ( just wondering if they were short of staff) but our next bta let were served right away with almost same order ,just slight disappointed coz expectations are high for this kind of venue.

Our waiter, Emerson, was very personable and helpful. Mom and I had a bottle of wine and two appetizers: roasted brussel sprouts and friso misto. Both were AWESOME and we couldn't finish! We took the rest home in a small carton provided by Emerson! As well as the rest of the wine bottle! Great place (and I have on good authority that the Sand Dabs are great!!) We will return.

Great ambiance and wonderful to take friends for dinner knowing one always gets a good meal. Plenty of time to relax and talk and not feel rushed. Never have to be concerned about parking.
