WE DO NOT SERVE BREAD, DUE TO COVID
This was the line used by every black rubber gloved server when any guest asked for bread.
Stop the lies: please:
Service was super rapid to the point of being conveyor belt: zero interaction: purely functional.
Food was basic : Not value for money .
In and out in less time than the dishwasher could run a cycle,
The restaurant ‘churns’ people: host stand are more interested in texting their friends than engaging with paying customers that support them.
Would never return: awesomely badly run place.
I left feeling ripped off.
Always an amazing and elegant experience.
We have dined several times at Eden and always felt it was a special place. That was not the case tonight. Our server, Kevin, was rude and arrogant. When we asked to order appetizers first, it was clear that he was not pleased. Thus, the evening went downhill from there. When I asked for advice on a choice between two bottles of wine, he said, “well, what do you think?”
I’ve never had a waiter address me in that way when I was asking for his expertise. Then, when my husband ordered scallops, he came back and chastised us for not ordering promptly and told us they were sold out. If he knew the supply was limited, he should have told us that when we asked to order only appetizers. My husband felt like he was being punished. Our food came with no silverware, our water glasses were never refilled, when I asked for a fork for my key lime pie instead of a spoon, he said “wont a spoon do?” I could go on but I don’t want to bore you. Finally, we left a lower than usual tip and he confronted us on our way out. I’ve seldom left less than a 20% tip but he truly did not deserve our generosity. I’m not sure we will return after that experience.
Great place! Loved it. Had friends in from NY & MD and was a bit nervous but they had a great time and raved about the food and experience. Definitely going back!
The risotto was so bad, tasteless and mushy with a hint of vinagre. Far away from a creamy and buttery risotto. Scallops were great but overall, it was not a good dinner. Kid's pasta was dry and overcooked. The server was not very nice, we asked to be outside in the terrace, they did not even try to accommodate our request despite the fact that we made the reservation well in advance. The day before we went to La Fable and the service was so amazing that already spoiled the second one. However, kudos for the charcuterie board. It was a good highlight and counterweight to the rest.
The lobster and crab fritters, along with the Beet and Pear Carpaccio, were terrific. And so was the Key Lime Pie and the suggested glass of wine and cocktail. However, the fish special (Halibut), purchased by both of us, was overcooked. Under normal conditions - and Covid renders the current dining conditions non-normal - we would have sent the dishes back to the kitchen.
Excellent overall experience at Eden. Food and service were both top notch.
Absolute perfect place to sit outside and enjoy a fantastic dinner for date night. Kevin is great, and the food is always top notch.
We loved our meal and the excellent service,
Great food with very good service. What more could you ask for!
The food was excellent. The server was helpful and attentive. It was a busy evening, but everything ran smoothly. We did not feel rushed.
Perfect dinner and a beautiful evening
We ate outside — the weather could not have been nicer. The food was delicious from appetizers to desserts. The service was great— they did let you know when you book the reservation and when you are seated that you have an hour and a half to dine and then there are reservations behind you for your table.
First time dining at this restaurant with my husband and it did not disappoint. From the moment we entered the restaurant the entire staff was outstanding. We were greeted with a warm and friendly "Hello" from the Hostess (even though she had on a required face mask, you could tell by the look in her eyes that she was smiling), and we left with a "Thank you for dining with us" from the Floor Manager. The atmosphere was exactly what we hoped it would be and somehow they actually made you forget that they are a dining establishment operating under Covid guide-lines and restrictions (not an easy feat, I'm sure they've been working really hard to establish a high quality dining experience while keeping everyone's safety, including their own, in mind. It was stress-free at it's finest). The food was phenomenal and most definitely filling, and their signature drinks and wines that we had was the perfect compliment to our appetizers and meals. Shout out to our server, Ryan, for his exceptional personable service that he provided throughout our dinner. He went above and beyond to help make our special occasion a dining experience to remember. If you're looking for a great place to have a date night with your spouse or significant other, look no further, this is the place to go. No doubt we will be back and looking forward to it!
Great date night. And our dog joined to. It was beautiful and the restaurant was very accommodating. 5 stars.
Restaurant had the feel of being short staffed. They did their best
Wonderful experience. Appetizers are delicious. Cheese board offers so many options. Cucumber/Tomatillo Gazpacho is sublime - perfect for warm weather, so please put this on the menu full time. Wedge Salad is so fresh and tasty. The wine list is phenomenal. Drinks are excellent (Forbidden Fruit Martini is so refreshingly delicious). Our server, Jack, is the best in the business. This restaurant is by far the best restaurant in Rehoboth.
Fantastic as it always is.
The service was initally good, but as the night became a litle more busy, we didn't see our waiter much. (our reservation was 6 PM on a Weeknight. The cheese board was excellent as were the appetizers ! In fact the appitizers were probably the best part of the experience. The wine selection was wide, and the prices varied. We found a good one at a good price. It seemed to take a long time to get our dinner. One of our parties filet was requested medium, and it was served med well, which they corrected within 5 min. But he did take it home, as we had nearly finished our meals. My scallops were cool. the serving was small (4 -25cent size). The beet risotto was good, but also tepid. the ahi tuna was reported to be good.
We always make it a point to dine at Eden when at Rehoboth and have done so for years. Staff excellent, menu as well. Booth seating quiet and comfortable. Have highly recommended Eden over the years to friends heading to RBDE.
Food was average and they rush you out the door
Always enjoy dining at Eden. My favorite Pan Seared Tuna
We had a wonderful meal and felt perfectly safe eating in. The service was very good and had a great dining experience.
Our food was excellent and service great. Eden did an excellent job of making sure we were all following covid safety rules, with tables far apart and masks required when not eating.
Everything was excellent - the meal the wine and the service.
Celebrating my wife’s birthday. Service was great. She had the antelope and I had the Osso bucco.
Both were quite good.
The place is nothing fancy but comfortable.
Lovely time outside. Loved my Antelope and my Lobster fritters.
Always perfect! Eden has done a great job with their covid protocol- we felt very safe in our private booth! Service was professional and warm. Wine and cocktails were great. Entrees were good- the only complaint was my seared tuna was actually cooked through, though still delicious. We love this place. Can't wait to return!
Great food, service, friendly staff and beautiful restaurant
We were pleasantly greeted and accommodated at the bar as we arrived a few minutes early for our reservation. The bartender was incredibly friendly while he mixed up some tasty-looking cocktails. We were soon seated in our booth which was comfortable and decorated with gorgeous original artwork. We started with 3 delectable cheeses. The Burgundy wine special was outstanding. Our entrees were scallops and a steak. Both were prepared perfectly and the flavors were spectacular. I particularly loved the beet risotto. Making our meal particularly memorable was the highly skilled and professional server that cared for us. His timing was impeccable and he had a great sense of humor. Highest recommendation for Eden.
I drive 90 minutes each way just to go to Eden for dinner. It’s that good!
The chef overcooked the tuna as well as the Char
Fabulous experience once again at Eden. Food was delicious and service was great.
This is one of our favorites in RB. The outside dining on the front balcony is very comfortable on a cool night. Heaters above each table. Our sever Jack was very attentive and offer items off the bar menu. The Food was on point as always but very disappointed in the dessert. Was expecting more but maybe they lost their pastry chef.
Our go to place during the Jazz Festival in October.
Among the best in Rehoboth Beach. Atmosphere, outstanding food with numerous choices and the best service / knowledgable wait staff.
Our server could have been more attentive. He never told us about the specials but we heard him telling the table behind us.
Having been to Eden a few times in the past, I was expecting a wonderful experience. And I got it! Service was impeccable. Food was delicious. Ambiance could only be expressed as romantic.
We went on a Wine-O Wednesday, so our wine was half price, but even at full price it would have been a great deal. The Prix Fixe meal (at $35) was perfect. I started with a Shellfish bisque that was quote tasty. My wife enjoyed her baby green salad. I had the Pan roasted chicken breast with garlic whipped potatoes. Tender and juicy chicken, and the potatoes were divine! My only complaint was with the spring peas. They were tough, like they were not frozen at their peak.
My wife had the grilled pork loin and truly enjoyed it. Tasty and tender - just what you want. The sweet potato and brussels sprout hash mad it special.
We did not have room for the included desserts, so we had them to-go. The next day the Key Lime Pie was still perfect, but my wife's Blue Berry/White Chocolate bread pudding screamed for the vanilla ice cream that would have accompanied the dish at the restaurant.
Asked for medium rare got raw server came to check on us once so by the time he came back my date had eaten her dinner and mine was still uncooked
The place is so nice. Our meal was incredible. Our server was fantastic. I think his name was Ryan.
