My husband and I came here for our anniversary, and we had an amazing experience. The entire team was so kind and attentive. They made our anniversary dinner incredibly special. Our server was Dave, and he did a great job taking care of us.
It was my first time at Eddie's and myself and my wife enjoyed everything from the menu to the ambiance. The service was top notch and they catered to our every need. We had reservations at another restaurant but I'm glad we cancelled and chose Eddie V's. I will recommend it to friends and family .
The staff was awsome!!!
Waited over a
Leo was a great waiter!
The band was awesome!!
And the manager Max did a fantastic job floating around, helping out, staying visible & checking on us as well.
We got our food 1hr and 15 min later the manager did come over and apologize and offer 100 gift card our bill was $194 they forgot about my special request for message on desert I showed the manager and she took care of it herself . Great manager however at the end of the day we got our food 1 1/2 later and I had to say something about the request food was not that inpressive
We weren’t seated until 30min past my reservation time and waited outside to be seated, it was too cold it wasn’t until I spoke to the manager (Dominica) that we found out there was an inside seating area behind the wine seller .When we were finally seated we were outside which was fine but there weren’t enough warmers outside and we just sat and froze eating our dinner we ate in a hurry. As we were finishing up the waiter asked if they could take the warmer from our yak me to put at another .I wouldn’t go back at all unless I was inside but I am in no rush to dine again.
My experience with Eddie V's has always been amazing, but my girlfriend and I had an unforgettable experience on Valentine's Day. Polly's customer service was on point from beginning to end. The food was spectacular from beginning to end. And our night at Eddie V's was simply me mora... from beginning to end. Thank you for an awesome all-around experience, Eddie V's restaurant!
Amazing that Eddie V's was able to make a very busy Valentine's Day dinner so outstanding. The restaurant was completely full and they still offered the same excellent service and wonderful food. Love this restaurant.
Excellent service, great food. A good place to go for a romantic dinner.
I love coming here. The food is great and the servers are very attentive.
Love everything about it! Customer service, food, place, accommodation. Thank you for making our night special! We will be back!
Our experience was disappointing. The food was quite good. The service, however, was lacking at times. Our entrees arrived before we had finished with our soup and salad. The person delivering the entrees didn't appear to know exactly what to do with them and awkwardly placed them on the table, pushing the soup and salad sort of to the side. He paused as we looked at him and he asked if he could remove them. We felt a bit rushed during the meal and since we were dining early, the restaurant was not busy.
Another person came and refilled one water glass. The other water was more in need than the first. This happened a second time and as he left, , my husband had to stop him to ask for more water; it was as if I was invisible.
For a restaurant of this quality, the experience should be much better.
They always do an excellent job on both steaks as well as seafood. This is rather unusual and that most restaurants do well with one or the other depending upon the specialty of the Chef! Eddie V’s has always prided themselves on doing an outstanding job on both. This is one of our favorite restaurants in San Diego and in our opinion definitely one of the best! If you want a good steak or you want good seafood you can’t go wrong.
4 of us sat in the bar while a jazz band played - they were very good - appreciated the breaks though so we could have clearer conversation. Our server was fantastic; the smoked old fashioned is a must-have, best OF that we had in a week of visiting San Diego. Every dish was perfect.
Great meal, excellent service
Absolutely the best experience...the service was excellent and the food was spectacular. The swordfish was perfect and I highly recommend all of the sides.
This was one of those bad experiences that ends up being funny. 1) made a reservation I thought was for 7:15 but was told our table would not be ready until our reservation time of 7:30. Assumed I must have been mistaken (I was) plus the bar seemed like a good place to have a drink. Later heard other customers told their reservations were 15 minutes later also; one of them showed his reservation and it was for 15 minutes before what the staff told him 2) at 740 and 745 went back twice to the podium to check on our table. First time told they’d come to get us, second time told that they’d already seated us. Went back a third time with wine bottle and glasses in hand before we were finally seated. 3) it took us asking twice for a server to come to our table. 4) our oysters came and they just laid them on the table and did not explain where they were from. 5) our meals came and our steak was medium rather than medium rare and we’d asked for bearnaise sauce on the side but it was put on our steak nonetheless 6) one of our wine glasses was cracked from lip to stem; we didn’t notice as we were on the patio where it was dark. Our waitress apologized and tried to get the manager to come check on us. He came by on the third try, earnest and apologetic but out of his depth. Rather than offering to comp us dessert or anything else (for broken glass!) he gave us his card and offered to take care of ya next time. 7) when the bill came it was for $164 but my card was initially charged $30.34; I assumed it was a nice gesture but when I asked it turned out to be a system glitch. So it ended up being a slap in the face.
The wine was good and the butter fish was delicious.
Sat in the bar lounge where they have live jazz. Great crowd and great service. Favorite must have item is the crab fried rice! Everything else on menu is good but that is the best item.
Wonderful, we loved it!!!!
Overall, we loved Eddie V's. In fact, the 4 days we were in San Diego, we said that was the best dinner we had. The only issue we encountered was the service....It started out great, then the waiter disappeared, had a couple of other people show up at our table, (we actually thought the waited left) and then he popped his head by us...one other time....
To make a long story short, there was a private room and we think our waiter and another waiter were working the room. It kind of was a distraction to us and we felt left out. The other people tried to fill in...
Would we try another Eddie V's in the future? Yes.......
We had another special dinner at Eddie V.
The Fuji apples salad was delicious and the swordfish was
Perfection. Can't wait to return to wonderful jazz and terrific service!
We come to Eddie Vs regularly for dinners for special occasions.
We consistently have a great experience.
Food and service and ambiance are outstanding.
On Tuesday when we were there for my husband’s birthday we were warmly greeted with a lovely birthday card.
Our server Melissa Fino was excellent.
Food was perfectly prepared and the complimentary beverage and birthday dessert were lovely extra touches.
We highly recommend Eddie Vs!
Awesome experience and great service
Cena de cumpleaños de mi hijo
Amazing experience. Everything is on point, atmosphere, dining & service.
Great location. I was at the bar, waiting for my party and the drinks are always good. They had live jazz playing, great vibe all around. The food was excellent, their crab fried rice is to die for. We love coming here.
We visited Eddie V's during Restaurant Week. The prix fixe menu was comprised of items from the regular menu which gave us a good overview of the offerings. We added the crab fried rice (fantastic!) The upstairs room where we were seated had comfortable chairs, was quiet enough that we could talk and hear each other, the service was attentive and friendly but not obtrusive. Two days later we are still talking about what a great experience it was. Eddie V's is a special occasion place that I would recommend to anyone.
music way too loud. Its nice to hear live music, but you cannot enjoy conversation with the people you are at dinner with.
The food was prepared in very creative, original ways. The macaroni and cheese was great-the pasta, cheeses and bread crumbs were all different but delicious! The salmon we had was outstanding, along with the cooked carrots and cooked spinach. Excellent service and a beautiful setting-felt like a high end restaurant on a cruise ship!
I love this place. The salt and pepper shrimp is truly to die for!!!
Amazing service, food was cooked to perfection and the best Dirty Martini in town.
Food was so delicious! Staff was friendly and attentive.
Very classy restuarant with an outstanding staff. We will definitely revisit. The Chilean Sea Bass and Scallops were the best I've every had. Thank you Owen for a wonderful happy hour experience.
It was a great experience! My fiancé and I loved the food as well as the environment. Thank you to all of the waiters and host who catered to us on our anniversary! It was a time to remember!
Love Eddie V’s! Happy Hour , the quiet music, the people, the food, ambience, everything is perfect, great Valet too! This evening we were celebrating our birthdays, Kevin P our waiter was fabulous everything was perfect! Thank you to everyone at Eddie V’s for making our Birthday celebration unforgettable!!!
Food took over 2 hours for 14 people.
The food was amazing. Our head waiter was a little impatient. Other than that a good and fun dining experience.
