   I’ve visited Echo & Rig for the last 6yrs now on my wedding anniversary. I’ve had so many memorable experiences here that this one disappointed. Before I get started let me just say that the service is really good a lot of times even better when it’s busy. Well here is the long and short of it. Usually we know exactly what we want, so we were provided with bread & water by our runner. A few minutes later came our waiter. I asked to start with my usual which is a crab cake for me and carne asada bone marrow for wifey followed by a Caesar salad we share. All three dishes were amazing, the house Cesar is excellent and love the anchovies, this was our first and 2nd course. For our entree we ordered a hand selected 35oz.tomahawk, roasted carrots, and broccolini. For those who have dined at Echo & Rig before know what I mean by hand selected, those of you who have dined there, you will need to experience it, i will not be the one to ruin it. So far the experience is great. Well some time went by and we finished our starters. Our main course began coming out, and it looked, and smelled amazing. Their sauces are great and when you order a big steak all of them are included with your meal. I’ve never had the carrots before and usually order the asparagus however, decided to try something new. The crème the carrots sat on top of was so good, as well as the texture, almost reminded me of eating a sweet potato. The broccolini was seasoned to perfection, they had the right amount of crunch and were nice and oily in a good way. Good way meaning a light drizzle of some kind of oil. What a let down. My steak, while I had ordered it medium, it came out on the medium/ well side. It was pink but it was not evenly cooked, which was not what I’ve come to expect from Echo & Rig from past experiences. Mind you we visit several times a year, this was the first time our steak was sub par. The steak is usually juicy, well seasoned, and the perfect temperature all through. Still going back

   The service is always phenomenal. The food was delicious as always and we had a great time!

   This is still our favorite steak house in town. We've been coming here for years. Just celebrated my wife getting a new job. Food and service was excellent as usual. We even got free dessert!

   Got to the restaurant ahead of our reservation time and were promptly seated. We’re greeted by a manager who explained everything to us. Our waitress was amazing and very friendly. Got ribeyes with mashed potatoes and winter squash….all amazing. To make everything a little sweeter all the staff each wished us a happy Anniversary and gave us a treat at the end of dinner. Definitely a place to go to!!

   Great Experience my only complaint was the noise level in the restaurant was very loud

   Food, excellent as usual and everyone is friendly and welcoming. We love this place and had two meals here in three days. We always take visitors here. This morning, staff seemed a bit disorganized. They were not sure on who ordered what, didn’t ask about splitting up the check. But the good always outweighs the not so good. My only complaint is it’s just so loud that it’s hard to have a conversation.

   Echo & Rig Steakhouse & Butcher Shop is a fantastic spot. Welcoming & lively vibe, friendly & attentive service (Thank You Marcos & crew), great list, and delicious menu. Our steaks were prepared our liking, and we thoroughly enjoyed their Portabella Fries. We highly recommend Echo & Rig Steakhouse & Butcher Shop.

   Echo and Rig is one our favorite restaurants. The last two times we’ve gone for brunch though, the service time hasn’t been the best. Unusual because the service time for dinner has always been exceptional. Our waiter never even approached our table despite my wife and I sitting there for over 15 minutes. That said, a phenomenal waitress named Vanessa saw what was happening and despite not being assigned our table, jumped in and saved the day! She was absolutely amazing! Our food, as always, was delicious! I don’t know the initial waitress’ name, a short, thin, grey-haired woman, but she definitely has no business working at such an amazing restaurant like Echo and Rig. Fix that one issue and Echo and Rig is by far the best steakhouse/butcher shop in the city.

    Echo and Rig has become our go to place to take friends and family. Food is top notch, priced way better than other high end steak houses, has a great outdoor balcony and extremely warm, friendly and accommodating staff. It was great to see a full house this Thursday evening. See you Sunday for brunch!
