Now, on to the menu. Think comfort food with a creative culinary twist. Killer burgers, regional faves with our own distinctive flair, shared plates to be enjoyed by all (or one). It's all affordably priced and very regulars-friendly.
Did we mention breakfast, lunch and dinner are served? Well, we just did.
Nice comfortable seatings. However, menu selection is limited and is expansive for what you are getting.
It was decent overall. Wasn’t crowded, food came quickly. Server was nice. Food was pretty good. Nothing you’d crave having again but tasty enough.
It was a bit loud for a business meeting, but like the ambiance and food options. Service was ok. Friendly staff, but once food was served there wasn’t much check in to refill water or beverages.
This restaurant is in Hotel Irvine. Nice that restaurant validated self parking. We had salads and both liked it but I don't understand the high ratings. We came here based on that. Their menu is very limited, food is fine but nothing special, not much atmosphere, typical casual hotel restaurant, and service is just basic not high-end. The outdoor fire pit seating area looked relaxing. Will not be returning.
Amazing food and overall value. Definitely recommend the family meal and Sunday brunch
Food was good and our waiter, Bryan, was EXCELLENT and great ATTITUDE. Really nice experience.
We were slightly disappointed in this choice for a Christmas Eve dinner. When we called to confirm our reservation and let them know we were running about 5 minutes late, we were told to make sure we were there by 7pm because they were closing early. We were there by 6:50pm and could see that the restaurant was winding down operations. Our server was friendly and the food was good. But, being the last party they served, we felt a bit rushed. For instance, we were not even asked about dessert.
If I had known they were closing early on Christmas Eve, I never would have booked it. It certainly wasn't the atmosphere we were looking for in a Christmas Eve dinner.
Christmas Eve and Happy Hour may not sound like a good combination to you but at Eats Kitchen & Bar we had a fabulous time celebrating the season and chowing down on discounted appetizers. The staff was wonderful, seating us immediately and although obviously short handed, our waitress was remarkable, getting our order right and getting items delivered to our table very quickly.
We had a round of Margaritas to start, and then we ordered way too many delicious items from the Happy Hour menu. I recommend the Grilled Artichoke, the flat breads, and Ahi Poke, Garlic Tots and especially the Avocado Fries. We would like to thank the staff for working on Christmas Eve and let the management know we really enjoyed our meal!
Thanksgiving!! Was so good!
Brunch menu is very limited and food is average at best. Champagne bar was nice, but having to get up for your own refills and still tip a waiter for full service seems odd. Very quiet/slow for Sunday brunch and still didn’t have water glasses refilled. Not a repeat restaurant.
Had breakfast. Really lovely setting. Food was very good. Service excellent. Hotel meal pricing.
Great service.. wonderful beautiful place
Perfect outside patio for small business meeting. The food was delicious and the service was goo, too!
Excellent food and service! Huge portions. French toast and pancakes were amazing, mimosa bar excellent and fantastic service. Our first time for Sunday brunch and we plan to go back!
Hostess and servers were very pleasant and helpful. The food, however, was mediocre at best. Highlight was the dinner salad (very good). Lowlight: the think crust pizza is just flatbread, and not very good at all (school cafeteria quality level). Please change the menu description of pizza. It’s simply false advertising. Re Value: too over-priced for the quality. I guess business travelers staying in the hotel don’t care about the prices.
Atmosphere is nice, it doesn't get too crowded and what I appreciate it that the servers don't rush you out of the place. Anthony was our server on Friday night and he was great! He didn't rush us, came around to check on us from time to time and provided a complimentary dessert for my mom's birthday.
I love coming here to host business meetings. The space is very open and generally quiet enough to hear your colleagues. The staff is always attentive but gives you your time and space when needed!
Restaurant is light, spacious & airy! Food was delicious, creatively presented & came out very quickly! Frosé pitchers were super fun as was the make-your-own-mimosa bar. Perfect spot for an upscale California group brunch experience! We will be back.
Warm welcoming greeting. Greatest services from Mr. Z (Sorry! Cannot really recall his name. Only knew the pronunciation starts with Z .)
They closed before their original time and didn’t want us to seat us because there’s no way for them to let opentable know that they are closed
Great happy hour! The drinks and food were excellent - we especially enjoyed the tuna poke. Very good service.
Mothers day brunch. Sat outside which was nice. Great service and food was good. Larger portions than you would expect. Recommend
Our family enjoyed our Easter Sunday brunch. Sitting on the patio was lovely and the weather was SoCal wonderful. We especially enjoyed the do-it-yourself mimosas bar.
The service from Noel is very good. She's new there, but she provides great service. The valet parking was not very efficient as usual. The food is great!
Loved this place. Bottomless Mimosa bar was a nice touch. Food was amazing.
Despite reserving outdoor seating two weeks ago, a private event prevented that. Restaurant was very, very noisy initially, but did become quieter. Food was good and service was good, but overall experience was just okay.
Our waiter was singularly UNinformed. The kitchen was out of everything. We saw our server to place our order and once again to deliver the bill. Food was ok - at least they did have eggs. Would nOt go back.
Also did nOt get Open Table points.
Thumbs down all around.
We waited over an hour and never got our food.
The waiter didn’t even apologize and no one even offered to help.
We've eaten here several times and they have all been good. This time they had a Wednesday special, all you can eat mussels for only $12. The mussels were delicious and my kale salad was very tasty.Anthony our server was wonderful and very accommodating. We had a wonderful meal.
OC Restaurant Week ... very nice on a cost-benefit basis.
Eats is convenient as it's across the parking lot near the office. Great place for lunch with clients and coworkers. Pricing is fair and food is good.
My cousins from out of town met with me for brunch at EATS, which I found as the easiest place to meet since we are located in Pasadena, Long Beach and San Diego. Eats was the only restaurant that offered reservations, an important feature for me because I don't like to ask people to drive a distance then wait in line for half an hour or more.
It is a very nicely decorated restaurant, new, very clean, and the wait staff is professional, polite and accommodating. The menu for brunch, which starts at 10:00 am, is larger than the breakfast menu. The food is excellent, and special requests were accommodated. The noise level is relatively high, as most restaurants are lately. This is due in part to the open, modern decor, and partly to the lately acquired belief that you're not having fun unless the decibel level doesn't allow normal conversation. Hopefully that's going to be a short lived belief.
in any case, I highly recommend EATS, if you're interested in really good food served in a clean, daylighted restaurant with great waitstaff and a really huge bar. It is located on the first floor of the Hotel Irvine, so I'm certain it's fun to go there at night as well. Easy to find, too.
Garett is the best- he is one of the main reasons we come back to EATS.
Loved the Sunday brunch. Bottomless mimosas for a really decent price. Food was FANTASTIC. Servers were friendly. Ambience was chic, well-lit and roomy. Loved the whole experience. Will definitely be back.
Just happened across EATS when we were in Irvine and couldn't have been happier with our find! Zia, our server was incredible and the ambiance & food wonderful! I would definitely recommend this place to friends & family. A nice surprise also, their MIMOSA Bar!! :)
The food is great as usual, but the service level was not as good as how I usually get. Even it’s a busy night, but the lack of detail of basic service from this waitress is really disappointing. Her service skill is only good for a fast food restaurant! Other people have to help her a lot. I wonder why my party of 6 is assigned to such a terrible waitress while there were at least two very good waitress and waiter who had provided services to me in the past on the same shift. She never offered refill on the water nor soft drinks unless we asked her. Never offered the desert until we requested, and of course she never mentioned about any coffee nor tea to go with our desert. I thought these are the basic for a restaurant wait staffs. Very disappointed service!
While in the OC this weekend we decided to get a table at Eats. This was our first time but after a long day at South Coast Plaza, we wanted to try something that wasn't necessarily at or directly around our hotel. We knew it was a part of the Irvine Hotel because of Yelp but decided to give it a try because it was in the vicinity of a hotel that we stayed at in Newport Beach awhile back. We were glad that we came here because it was worth trying.
When we arrived, we found that there was parking separate from the hotel specifically for the restaurant. I believe that it is free with validation. We walked through a hall where there was a 50th birthday party in one room and a large wedding while en route to Eats Kitchen. I can admit that if I was dressed for it, I souks have cracked the wedding because their food smelled and looked so good. We headed to Eats and it was open and welcoming with a circular bar and a small wall that divides it from the dining area. It was located right by the lobby.
We were seated and because of our hunger, we had to start with their house bread and truffle mac and cheese. It was delicious. It was so soft and flavorful that the butter wasn't even necessary to me. The menu is small but they had a nice variety of American comfort foods. Our server was nice and accommodating in our experience.
I ordered a delicious Anti-Burger which is basically a veggie burger and my girl had an Eats Burger. We both thoroughly enjoyed our selections and after eating all of those carbs with our appetizers maybe we should have passed on the fries but of course, we didn't. The fries and aiolis were excellent and the overall meal was as well.
I’d definitely recommend you give this place a try if you're in the area and enjoy.
My waiter was very polite and attentive. He knows how everything was prepared and you can see he enjoys his job and loves to take care of people.
Excellent dining experience!
Excellent service! Food took a bit of time but our waitress was super sweet and attentive.
