NICE SETTINIG OVERLOOKING THE GARDEN, VERY INTRIGUING MENU MADE SELECTION DIFFICULT all the salads looked intesting. I had the kale chicken salad with a great dressing and very tasty; my guest had the salmon salad perfectly cooked.
Lackluster service. Meal arrived 15 minutes after my father and 3 year old son’s meal. The best that I got was a - “sorry about that, do you want a to-go box (to eat your $30 steak in your hotel room)?” Unacceptable in my opinion. The food quality was quite good though.
Brought my wife and daughter to celebrate Mother’s Day. The food was great and the server very pleasant. Will definitely visit again.
We had a good experience dining here.
Had a great Mother's Day brunch! Service was great and food was awesome.
One of my favorite places..i eat there frequently.
It is really nice restaurants, I have been here before and I really liked it.
The food was pretty good Better than we had expected and for picky eaters
By the time we were leaving, the restaurant was empty except for our table and a table of moms with babies and noisy kids. Would have liked to be seated in a quieter location. The shrimp/citrus salad was excellent. One of our party ordered the ahi poke salad that was not spicy enough for her. Upon several requests, she finally got some spices to add.
The Burger was amazing!!! It actually tasted like a gourmet burger! I thought I was getting a salad on the side instead of fries sense it came with a side dish, but apparently not because on the check it was an extra $4 for the salad. No big deal, I was hungry. The server was okay, he never came back to offer a refill, or anything else for that matter, but I was in a hurry so I left the check paid at the table.
Love EATS. We come for the Wednesday oysters but always stay for dinner. Both the steak salad and kale salad with chicken are great. I would like to see a few more items on the menu.
The service was attentive both at the bar and in the restaurant.
Every time we come here, we are greeted by amazing servers. Food is pretty good too, and they have decent happy hour including $1 oysters on Wednesdays.
This is a great spot for meals and meetings.
Food was not great, but the service was.
Wish there are more choices on the menu. I live close by and Like to come in to dine from time to time. Love the service from my waitress(sorry I forgot her name. A very pretty sweet young lady.). As matter of fact,I always receive good service here.
Love to come here with my little senior Shih Tsu which is 9 years old. This place allow me to bring my little old doggie with me when We take the outdoor patio seating. This time the only disappointment was that they did not have the patio seat setting ready nor clean the furniture before we arrived, and I had to clean everything myself. That’s a rainy day on and off all day. Hopefully they will pay a little more attention with the detail message on the reservation in the future.
The staff was super friendly and welcoming. We were there for a week in the hotel and got to know some of the staff and they would remember our orders. The food is very good as well, lots of options. The free breakfast is awesome!
I'd heard EATS has a great happy hour and a really nice patio for outdoor dining. Didn't take any of that advice when I went Thursday night for dinner. First of all, it was chilly outside, but there are heaters if you do want to brave the chilly OC evenings. The outdoors is also MUCH quieter than the restaurant. The noise in the restaurant varies from overly loud to ear-splitting, none of which makes the dining experience any better. We were a party of four, one a vegetarian - who had no trouble finding something on the menu. The other three of us ordered baby back ribs, but was served the beef short ribs instead. In a matter of moments the correct dinner showed up, which was awesome. I had the 1/2 chicken which was pretty good. The mashed potatoes and roasted carrots that accompanied it weren't good though. The potatoes had a watery consistency - like they were from a mix or were over handled. The roast carrots looked awesome but were tough, under-cooked and had absolutely no flavor. Service was good, can't blame our server for the kitchen's shortcomings.
So stick to happy hour and dine outside if possible. Otherwise EATS is a no-go, and won't be added to my go-to list.
We enjoyed our brunch. It was very affordable. Food was great. Brunch selections were a bit limited. Loved the bottomless Mimosas - what a deal for $10! Server was great.
Beef and Veal Ragu was outstanding!
Had dinner on a Sunday night, restaurant was almost empty. The food was good, but the best was server, Michelle. She was so friendly and, being a vegetarian, she gave her honest opinion of my choices. She was great!
Adam Rodriquez KILLED IT for us!
I was there Sunday (25th) for brunch with some of my co workers. We were celebrating a belated bday for one of my close friends. The whole day was a surprise brunch for the bday girl, so I came in early to set the table. Adam was great! He helped me with everything and then hust waitd patiently for all of my other guests to arrive. His service FLAWLESS! We never had to ask him for anything and the mimosas just KEPT FLOWING!
Eats Kitchen is a great place to meet, eat and mingle! The menu is inspired by gourmet chefs and the place has a very unique "gastropub feel" with an upscale flare! Go check it out!!
The Bloody Mary bar looked awesome and the Mimosa flight is great but with our group of 8 only 1 person actually enjoyed their food. The pancakes were awful, don't waste your money. The french toast, while sounds delicious was dry and bland. However the chicken with the Chicken & Waffles was incredible, not so much the waffles, just the chicken. Service was SUPER slow and although a manager seemed to assist our waitress in bringing our orders he was never seen again.
I consider myself a regular for this Eats kitchen Bar and I would lke to see more Happy hour cocktails such as the previous Peach margaritas which were authenticity made with the infused taquioa and such.
Also, they ought to have better bar furnitures to match the standard of their beautiful dining area and patio. I always wish to sit at the dinning area while enjoy your happy hour. Menu. Just a wishful thinking
Great find! Thanks to Open Table with the increased points, we decided to try EATS. Great decision. The food was amazing. Perfectly cooked scallops and salmon. Some crazy, harmless drunks outside, so we sat inside, but that made it fun to people watch. Great service. Not crowded at all.
Very Noisy and Server was not very friendly. Great Gluten Free Burger!
Service was awful. I had to go find our server after 25 minutes. Then had to find her again to order our food. Ridiculously bad.
We had an all-around great experience here. The menu is varied and everything we tried was delicious. The wines were nice, the live entertainment was well-suited to the environment, and the service was friendly and timely. The best feature, though, was the value. Each dish was as carefully prepared and beautifully presented as in a much fancier place, yet the prices were more what you'd expect at a pub. We will definitely return!
Let's get real here folks! I am very prudish when it comes to dishing out five stars but this place earned it! And it was definitely because of the exceptional and quality customer service that our server Colton provided. This lovely restaurant is located in the Irvine Hotel but don't let that sway or discourage you! There was a cocktail reception and a good-sized crowd and a lot of noise. Colton benevolently sat us outside. To start, I enjoyed a Cranberry Mule, off the menu. As we did check in on Yelp, we dined on a Sicilian pizza and Garlic Parmesan fries - the pizza was succulent and the fries were crisp and flavorful! I ordered the Pasta Pomodoro with the Bolognese meat sauce, at the recommendation of our server. And my boyfriend ordered the Red Wine Braised Short Ribs. We culminated our date night dinner with their Warm Chocolate Chip Cookie dessert. The service was impeccable, the food was incredible and the aforementioned are the solid reasons why I reviewed this restaurant with five stars! Go eat here! Meet up with your friends! Take your love here for a night out! Whatever you do - if you're reading this - don't hesitate to enjoy a culinary experience! I also hope Colton is working on the day/night of your visit. Bravo! A job very well done!!!
Dinner with team; not busy yet completely unprepared and engaged in serving prepping for our reservation. Took 30 minutes to get water
Food was ok. It took awhile for it to come out. Service was good
Loved their mimosa options! Their food was amazing
It’s very loud Inside due to it being in an open area near the lobby of the hotel. Area had a faint smell of wet rag/puke when you first walked in (not the most pleasant of smells), Food was good but nothing spectacular and considering the prices I would have expected better. Service was ok - our waitress got our drink order wrong (brought us sparkling wine instead offer wine) and forgot about us when it came time to close out the tab.
Not many choices for happy hour. Wished there were more choices because I liked the location and atmosphere.
Good food, excellent service, clean and comfortable. A bit noisy but overall a very pleasant experience.
Went with TravekZoo coupon. Ate outside. Good food!
Unfortunately, our experience was not great. The restaurant was not even busy but it took almost half an hour for our server to show up. Next, once our server showed up, she only took our drinks and almost took 20 minutes for the drinks to show up. On top of that, after the 20 minutes, we order the appetizers. But then our server never bothered to come back. We had to ask for another server and that person did serve us well. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant because of the poor service. The restaurant was not even that busy so there is no excuse.
The kitchens willingness to modify menu items. But this hotel overall doesn't know their customer.
Came here for the new years eve brunch, had the crab omelet and it was very tasty. I would def come back here for there events.
Been here many times, but I have to say that this was my least favorite experience. Understandably it was New Year’s, but we were seated in an area that had little to no other guests seated.
My husband and I dined here on New Year's Eve around 5:30pm. We had never been here before and really liked the place. The space had a large open dining area and a separate bar area. We started with the pork buns. It came with 2 nicely filled buns. My husband had the Branzino. He is still raving about it. Beautiful white fish, very tender and not a single bone. The best he's ever had. I had the ribs. It was a nice portion, meaty but a little dry. We were a little surprised to not see a specialty cocktail menu. We asked but our server just said the bartender could make anything we asked for. Overall, a very good dinner, noise level was okay and service was very excellent. We will be back.
