Eagle's Nest - Hyatt Regency Indianapolis
For the enjoyment of all our guests, The Eagles Nest Restaurant has a preferred dress code of Business Casual.
Trace was a very good server! The food was very good also.
Pros: The view is amazing. Jasmin the restaurant manager was pleasant to speak with.
Cons: It took 45 minutes to seat us from our reservation time and the restaurant was not crowded. It was the first night of Devour Downtown and they were already out of the dessert but graciously allowed us to pick an alternative from the dessert menu. They did not have a beer menu; did not have the ingredients for an apple martini. The prime rib was lukewarm at best.
Food and service were great but the restaurant badly needs a makeover. Very dated and dull looking upholstery and overall ambience. Didn’t find it befitting for our anniversary celebration specially since we were visiting from out of town. You should look into Revue revolving restaurant in Louisville, KY or Coach Insignia in downtown Detroit for how classy such restaurants can be. The downstairs hotel lounge area was also too crowded with kids and noise. Not planning to visit the hotel or restaurant in the near future.
Great dinner and the service was great also.
We had not been to the Eagle's Nest for many years. We were pleased to see that all is good there. The service was perfect. The food was delicious - all of it - salad, breads, entrees. Of course, the view is wonderful. We made it about three-quarters of the way around during our meal. The interior of the restaurant is also nicely done and kept up. The only trouble we had was finding an elevator that had room on it to get up there!
Overall amazing evening at the eagles nest. My biggest complaint is that the restaurant was only seating one section and sat us in the middle of two full tables in a loud and busy section. The family behind us was loud and on their phones the entire time. Would strongly recommend giving couples a little more privacy instead of cornering them with a loud family.
Best view in Indy,, can’t be beat
Eagles Nest is great for the view but you are paying for the view. Food was very good but not as good as the price. Probably not one of those place you revisit but great to visit once.
In general, the attention by the servers was fine albeit very robotic. They did not engage in a friendly way and continuously used the word “absolutely” throughout the evening. My steak had to be cooked twice and was still not med well, however it was tender and had a great flavor, the veges were average but they ended up comping the steak. The servers just did not seem happy to be there. I would probably not need to go back.
One of Indianapolis' best ! The food is amazing, the service is 2nd to none.
Granddaughter ‘s birthday. They brought her a beautiful birthday dessert.
We decided to do a pre-New Year's dinner out and wanted a little romantic atmosphere and this is the perfect restaurant. Our server Dominique was wonderful, she was attentive and funny. she made sure everything was ok. The only complaint was the Prime Rib it was very chewy and wasn't able to chew all of it. This was our second time visiting the restaurant and was surprised with the menu change. Every other aspect of the night was wonderful.
We had a great time! I reserved the seating a few days prior and planned to propose! I left a note for our waiter to be able to video it all going down and when we got there we were seated perfectly. The waiter made sure to hint to me that he could do the video and helped set up the whole surprise! It was perfect and the service there is outstanding! We have been there twice now and it will always be a special place to go! Thank you for all the great work they do there!... She said yes!
It was good
Really nice dining spot for couples out for a special experience.
One of my favorite restaurants and it never disappoints! Dominique was great!!
If you want something different or a special occasion, highly recommend, the service was excellent and the food was very good.Love the view, you make a full turn in 1 1/2 hours
Slow service. Wife’s rime rib was cold. I had to spit out the gristle in the first bite of my filet. The rest was difficult to chew. The soup was great. The view was spectacular. No dress code. Rednecks wore their plaids and ball caps. Will not return.
The view was amazing. I feel it’s perfect spot for drinks. The food was okay. Not quite impressive.
Had a great time. Can’t wait to go back. Will make plans soon.
This is a place like none other near near Indiana bc of the scenic views while dining. Watching the sunset and then the city light up never gets old. However the scenery used to paired with outstanding food. Now the food is just...very good, but not for the price that comes with it. Still, it's a worth while trip once in great while
Very nice restaurant. The staff was very nice and helpful. Expect to pay good money, but the experience is well worth the money. The view is also fanominal.
This was my first time visiting the Eagles Nest. My wife and I hit up St. Elmo’s, Ruth’s Chris and similar restaurants around Indy about once a month - The Eagles Nest was a bucket list item. My children are moving to Dallas so we made Eagles Nest our location for a parting dinner. I’ll note upfront, I have a 1yr old grandson who attended dinner. All in my family are very attentive to his needs and keeping him quiet, as not to impact others around us. This night was no exception. That said, he IS 1yr old. I think anyone reading understands that you do your best with children.
The food was exceptional. The mood and views of the city were also exceptional. The service, unfortunately, will keep us from ever visiting again. Our primary server was clearly upset that we brought a small child. There were several instances where I caught her long stares of disapproval aimed at my grandson, and all at my table saw the same thing and feel this was the cause of her lacklusture service. The entire evening, she was a shade above what I would call “rude”. Not bad enough for me to complain to management, but certainly bad enough that everyone in my party noticed how unwelcoming and standoffish she was.
I am not one to ever complain; however, I want to spare anyone with children the experience my family had. It is clear to me the Eagles Nest is not family friendly, so beware going here for special occasions if you will be bringing smaller children. Aside from the above, I will end this review with exact quotes from the staff who served at our table.
“I think you should take that from him” (Referring to a spoon my grandson was holding)
“He sure is making a mess” (another reference to my grandson)
“Your chair is out too far” (one of the staff who tried to squeeze to the back of the table. Said in a very rude tone to my son. You had to be there, I know this sounds petty, but the way it was handled left all of us speechless)
This place is amazing!!! No need for a steak knife here...the steaks cut like butter. The service is phenominal and the views are incredible! 💝
We planned a special holiday evening with the kids. I would not recommend this restaurant for families with children; however, our server Mya, did an awesome job suggesting menu options. She inquired about our plans for the evening in case there were any time constraints. We enjoyed the view and the atmosphere. The food was satisfactory but not as good as I would have expected for the cost.
The view was amazing and the food was excellent. I will be going back and recommend this to everyone.
We went here for our Christmas and had a wonderful time. We were a large group but the service never lacked. The food was wonderful, and we had a very diverse group: steak, seafood, pasta. pork, and chicken. I do recommend the brussel sprouts though, they were sublime.
Food and service was very good. Was disappointed when received the check. There was a number called other for 20% of total, if they are going to add 20% tip, at least they should call it a tip, is misleading this way. If 20% is added to total that is all I will tip, is this case they lost money as I normally tip 25+%.
By far the most romantic place I been too. The food was phenomenal. My wife and I enjoyed it very much. No special occasion just wanted to let her know how much I appreciate her. So I got her a couple of items from Kay’s jewelry
Excellent food. Great ambience. Well worth time and cost.
The service was decent. Danielle and Renee were awesome. HOWEVER management is definitely lacking. I couldn’t ever get a call back to confirm my reservation. The guy two tables behind us was very obscene and loud and verbally abusive to his date, i complained to the host. They tried to offer to move us instead of dealing with the unruly guest who was disturbing several tables, we said no it would be a huge hassle to move, the manager came over asked me the problem and moved us anyways. They never did anything about the other guest. Just a half lazy apology. No dessert, no compensation for the crappy experience, NOTHING. The food was not worth the price either. The steak was dry and unseasoned before cooking and the prime rib was dry and tough. The best part of the dinner was the appetizer shrimp.
I loved the view, but this was probably the worst Anniversary dinner we have had. And we are both truly disappointed.
We loved it, but arrived just after opening so surprised it took an hour alone to get our 3 appetizers- 2 salads and crab cakes. Unfortunately late evening after a long day of work.
The prime rib was not tender for the price, service was slow at times and the parking fee was ridiculous.
It was good food. Just somewhere we wouldn’t go a lot. Did have to wait 30 minutes past our reservation.
This was an amazing restaurant. Everything about it was amazing from the food to the view to the amazing service. Would definitely want to go to again for another amazing experience.
Renee was so attentive and great. It was a fun experience.
Has great food, good environment, good experience
I love this place to eat because of the unique view. The food is always very great too. We did have a small portion of potatoes with the steak this visit. Wasn’t a fan of the Mac n cheese, it tasted like steak for some reason. Overall good place to eat & neat to visit.
The view is amazing! Excellent fine dining food. Didn’t pay attention to the menu, but noticed that the Entree’s had sides included. We got the Filet and it came with grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes. So good value for this type of restaurant.
