Better than even the best reviews! We loved everything about Duke's - the food, the ambiance, the wait staff.

We had a great time! We were celebrating and on our honeymoon and the staff made our dinner a wonderful and memorable experience. We were fortunate enough to experience live music while enjoying our delicious meal and drinks. It was fun and when we come hack to Kauai we would eat here again. Thanks!

Dinner and service were very good. Although, I was surprised to learn that if you make reservation on Open Table you are seated upstairs with a different menu from the lower seating area. I would have preferred to sit by the beach level but they were unable to accomadate us at that point. We only found out about the other menu after we ordred and it was a bit more pricey with less appetizer options.

This was our first stop in Kauai. I had the coconut seafood curry and my husband had the prime rib and lobster tail. My curry was amazing. The prime rib was a little over cooked to Medium instead of Medium rare but it was still good. They offer a salad bar trip for $5 which was totally worth it. Great good, fantastic waiter, overall we would definitely go back.

Coming back right now! Best next to the Marriott Kauai Beach Club.

Location, Location, Location!! Great views of the beach/ocean and fun ambiance. Food was good and after dinner we walked along the beach. Great place!

We called an hour before our 7pm reservatuon and asked to push back our reservation a half hour. They said they could not accommodate the change. When we got there at 7pm the restaurant was slightly more than half full, by 7:30 it was maybe 1/3 full. Food and drinks were not impressive.

Salad bar, Prime Steak and ambiance makes for an excellent dining experience.

Our waitress was attentive, accommodating & friendly. We ordered the Prime Rib buffet. My husband enjoyed it, I didn't. The prime rib was over-cooked & I took a bite into a piece of spoiled meat. It grossed me out so bad that I had to order something else. The vegetables were disgusting-looking & should've been thrown out. The broccoli had yellowish-brown heads in various spots. The rice was great. The Hula Pie was great. The mashed potatoes were good.

There was a group of kids on the beach being allowed to play hide & seek & counting SO LOUDLY during our entire dinner, it interrupted the beautiful beach ambiance. Yelling as loud as possible "ONE...TWO...THREE...(to 10)" during our entire dinner (we were indoors upstairs & could hear them downstairs outside).

The valet guy was nice. Our waitress was incredible. I would give the food a 5/10. If we go back it will be just for the ambiance & maybe a drink, but not for the food.

The Ono Duke's style was delicious! Our server Blaze was phenomenal. We will return again and ask to be seated in her section.

Ok food but more of a tourist place to eat than really great food. Service was good and price was a little high for quality of food.

Our food was delicious. We had a wonderful view of the water. Our waitress had an amazing, fun personality and did a fantastic job. Nice experience!

My husband and I split the prime rib and it was basically two prime rib dinners. We were in awe! It was delicious. We also shared an appetizer coconut shrimp which also was very good. We ended our meal with a shared piece of Hula pie that was amazing!

Dessert saved the meal.

Was excited to get in at Duke's for a late lunch as their reservations seemed hard to come by. Reading the menu my mouth was watering as some of their special nights.

We started off by ordering ice tea. Being in a tropical location I expected more from the restaurant than Lipton. Unfortunately this was a very bitter tea that sadly had to be sweetened to make it drinkable (for me).

The lunch menu was pretty basic and we tried the fish & chips touted as fresh fish in a Kona Beer Batter. What arrived was best described as frozen fish you'd get in the freezer aisle at the local supermarket. The plate was unappealing and carried over to its taste.

The other item on the menu we tried was the BBQ Kalua Pig sandwich with chips. This was pretty good. I was surprised to receive it with the BBQ sauce on the side but found it allowed me to add just the right amount to make the sandwich shine. The side for this was house made chips. These were really good and they provided an ample portion.

Finally with only one item on the dessert menu we felt we needed to try it especially since it contained macadamia nut ice cream. The dessert did not disappoint. A nice crust of oreo cookies followed by a piled HIGH layer of macadamia nut ice cream topped with fudge dripping all over and allowing for a dip if your bite didn't have any and finished off with (canned) whipped cream and chopped macadamia nuts. The dessert is big enough for 4 people to eat it and be completely satisfied. We smiled while we broke down the layers and commented on how good the ice cream and fudge were. This dessert was definitely the star of our meal.

If you're looking for a meal with a great view of the ocean and an indoor waterfall with koi pond, this could be your place. I saw some amazing looking ribs coming out just after 3 pm which led me to believe they had a happy hour menu. If it hadn't been my last day of vacation I might have considered coming back.

Wine list is minimal, predictable, affordable. Menu is ok. Execution by kitchen is lacking. Elementary presentation. Cafeteria flavors.
Live music. I'm not old! Still felt was a bit loud.
Service was standard. Polite, moderately attentive.
Only dine here bc of location. Their rent is worth every penny. All the money this brand has would be nice to see them step up their game.

Meh mediocre

We had the Coconut Shrimp w/Tai sauce as an appetizer - so good. The entree was the Monchong fish w/Mac Nut prep, it is the absolute best fish - mild, not “fishy” tasting. Our choice every time!! Save room for the Aloha Pie (ice cream dessert) to share with other(s). We love Dukes for the food, service and ambience. Never been disappointed.

We had reservations to eat at Duke's twice but only ending up staying for the brunch reservation. We got in line to for dinner on the Saturday night Prime Rib buffet only to see that the prime rib was not carved to order but rather sitting in au jus in a hotel pan on the buffet line. I was embarrassed for the restaurant and we ended up leaving. On our way out a gentlemen heard me commenting on this fact and said that they actually carve the prim rib for brunch so we came back the next morning. Brunch was excellent, the food was fresh, hot, prime rib carved to order, great live music and good coffee. I recommend the brunch buffet.

Glad to see Duke's open and had some good meals there while staying at the Marriott Beach Club. However, was very disappointed with the Prime Rib Buffet. Food was barely warm (some was cold), and not up to the rest of Duke's menu standards. We were there at 5:15 and some items they were already out of. The Prime Rib was chunks of well done meat sitting in a vat of au jus. Not worth the $50 pp.

Best view in Kauai! Hula pie is amazing! Live music is great! We’ve been here several times and keep coming back!

If you want a full stomach, good food, and amazing service then go down to Duke’s Canoe Club for your satisfaction.

We stopped here on our way to the airport. It was a delicious dinner.

Very expensive, my food was barely warm. Crab night crab was cold as well. Sent a meal back from our table. Server was friendly and helpful

We were celebrating a birthday, and Blaise, our server was EXCELLENT! and made our evening fun. The food was delicious, everyone left very full. Dessert was wonderful. I'm looking forward to returning soon.

We had been to Dukes about 20 years ago. Don't really remember how it was back then but the 2 times we went in 4 days was both an amazing time. Great food, great service, great happy servers, and an amazing atmosphere.

We loved everything about our experience at Duke’s! The food was great, and Sean was a very attentive waiter. It had been six years since our last visit to Kaua’i, and we were happy to find Duke’s open and just as we remembered it. Mahalo for a wonderful date night!

Can’t beat the view at Duke’s. Every trip to Kauai includes one evening at Duke’s.

We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary here and enjoyed a fantastic dinner In the beautiful upstairs Dining Room overlooking the ocean & sunset.
