   We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Duke’s. It definitely lives up to its reputation . There is no setting quite like it on Kauai, with covered open air seating and a fantastic bay view. We loved the low-key live music and unpretentious vibe. We had a calamari appetizer, salad bar, drinks and hula pie dessert along with our main courses (seared ahi steak, and coconut ginger braised seafood) , and everything was perfect. Our server was friendly and attentive. The valet was lightning quick to bring us our car. Tip: Make your reservation well in advance. We waited until the day before, and the site showed no seatings available. We tried again the morning of our anniversary, and a few fringe early and late time slots had opened up. We were we thankful we got in at 4:30, but it would be an enjoyable experience any time.

   Excellent food and amazing views. Staff was friendly and accommodated our celebration by providing a Hula Pie!

   Overall good experience but wouldn’t order the prime rib again, not the quality we expected. The cocktails, coconut shrimp and salad bar were excellent.

   What a gorgeous setting! We made a reservation for right when Duke’s opened for dinner, and got a seat upstairs with a great view of the water. Well informed server was very helpful, and the food was fantastic. The vegan options were much appreciated.

   Food was delicious! I had Mahi mahi with macadamia nut crust & my husband had swordfish. Both were fresh & prepared perfectly. We had the famous hula pie for dessert. A great way to end our meal. Keenan was our server. He was friendly & helpful. The ocean view is really the best!!

   The waiter was awesome. Very polite and very knowledgeable about their menu. Food of course was delicious as always. We also had an amazing view of the ocean. We celebrated our 33 year anniversary.
