Birthday had yummy food wish there was more options for brunch
We had the breakfast buffet today. A bit different than what your use to. The chefs actually serve you the items you wanted. The selection was ok nothing like it has been in the past. If you want an omelette or eggs over you order that through your waiter, no more omelette station overall the food was ok service as usual was wonderful, they Always do a great job making you feel welcome. Would recommend!
Phoebe was an amazing server!!! She made me feel right at home & extra special. I will be definitely be back when I come to visit.
What’s not to love. Bartender Chris is the best!!
We had a 7pm reservation and were let into the waiting area ahead of time. We waited for 20 minutes after 7pm and never had our names called. I went to the the front desk and asked and they said that we were already seated, which clearly we were not and they gave our table away. The front desk lady seemed annoyed that I asked when we would be seated and if we could be sat outside like we had requested.
Our waiter was great and so was the food. The music and atmosphere was awesome as well.
It was our first dinner on our honeymoon and it ended up not being everything we expected
We ate here for a quick lunch. Had a reservation so we’re seated pretty quickly I really wasn’t that hungry and I knew from past dining experience that the portions are huge! I mentioned to the server that I wanted the burger but didn’t think I could finish it, so he asked if I wanted to do the child’s burger, I told him that would be great! Food arrived hot and fresh. Just enough with the fries. My husband had the steak & fries which is said was cooked perfectly and that he would definitely order this again!! Service was wonderful highly recommend Really appreciate that sever!!
Outstanding service and location!!!!
Absolutely outstanding as usual. Perfect in every way.
The parking was an issue. Costs 30 dollars. This we could have spent on food drinks
Everything was AWESOME Except trying to check in - even with a reservation. It took a long time - losing money with no bar service while you wait to be seated (SLOW) and they accidently gave our table away? HOW? They were overwhelmed. Situation was corrected BUT it shouldn't happen. Once you are let into the waiting area the Hostess doing the seating needs a LIST of the last names of the people waiting but it was only in the computer where we checked in so Hostess doing the seating didn't seem to know who was waiting to be seated or where or how many - confusing and unorganized. I worked food service for over 20 years and caught on quickly folks with reservations were being over looked and I live on Oahu.
If you a looking for a quite place to eat and have a conversation, this is not the place if you want a great meal great music great service this is the place!! We were celebrating our anniversary so they gave us a complimentary Kimo pie for dessert, free or not, you have got to try this so good definitely share as it is huge!!!
Our meals and service was great I had the salad bar, which the chef stood behind plexiglass along with the food and prepared the things you requested, all items very fresh my husband had the kabobs which is said were some of the best he had ever had service was great will definitely be back!!
Dukes is the quintessential tourist trap but you gotta go.
Have a Mai Tai or 2 , watch the ocean, listen to the live Hawaiian music.
Yes, it’s pricey and the food is nothing special but the drinks are good.
Suggest getting there for happy hour and enjoy the ambiance but skip it for dinner. There’s better food to be had for the same price or less.
Go there for the view and the total Hawaiian tourist trap immersion.
We enjoyed our dinner at Dukes. Excellent service, food, and we were seated right away. A must to go every time we travel there.
My wife and I went for brunch 11:15 am for our anniversary. Very nice atmosphere, fun, nice waikiki beach + ocean view. Clean restaurant. Impressed by all digital menu using your own device and QR as well as contact tracing is all digital scanning a qr so you don't have to touch a restaurant pen and paper. We thought Duke's served brunch but they don't. They serve lunch so that was a bit disappointing. Apparently their sister restaurant Hula Grills which is upstairs serves brunch. Server was friendly but when I told him we needed just another minute to look over the menu he took 5-10 minutes to return. Food was good. I enjoyed the fish tacos and my wife liked the coconut but the dipping sauce for the coconut shrimp is Duke's and Hula Grill's sweet chai pepper water which was too acidic, peppery and not complimentary for coconut shrimp. Duke's needs a non peppery sweet dipping sauce for that dish.
Valet parking was huge disappointment. Turns out Duke's is not partnered with the valet parking service in the front of the building. Their sister restaurant Hula Grill is. So I had to pay $12 for 1 hour dining at Duke's. Duke's validates for self parking at another hotel several blocks away but they don't tell customers that until you valet park and ask for the parking ticket to be validated when the meal ends. Duke's needs to fix that and support the valet service at their front door.
Ultimately I would not recommend Duke's for an anniversary lunch. Menu is skimpy, not diversified. We went for brunch but no brunch items. I've been there for Dinner and love it and the live music for dinner. But not an anniversary place.
I didn’t realize it was a buffet breakfast. Food was just okay .
Great atmosphere, with live mellow music right on the beach, while watching the amazing sun set! Wonderful time!
Amazing, 100% recommend. Excellent service and food!
Bad customer service, waitress was inpatient and ignored our table.
I didn’t see why everyone thought this place was so good.
Dukes is a known staple. Having said that, they had Fantastic service, amazing food, perfect ambiance. Couldn’t have asked for a better time.
We had to wait awhile even though we had a reservation. People came in after us and were seated, I think they forgot us. We were seated right after we asked what was going on with our reservation. We were seated in the back when people who came long after us were seated up front with much better ocean views. After that, everything was excellent! There is no place to rate the receptionist and seating....
Came here for daughter’s birthday breakfast to start out the day right. Breakfast buffet was going ion so we ate that. Food was ok but service and atmosphere was fantastic. Overall a great time, would return for lunch or dinner. Complimentary birthday ice cream cake was nice surprise.
Went to Dukes for breakfast after a great staycation for Valentines weekend. Great timing on getting seated and our waitress was very attentive and quick with refills. The buffet offerings were very tasty and plentiful! Thanks again for another great dining experience!
Our favorite place in Honolulu. Enjoyed Henry Kapono and the food was excellent! JP
Great ambience. Music...food.... incredible!
This place was amazing. The atmosphere, the music, drinks, and food was phenomenal. What made it an even better experience was our waiter who attended to our needs and made the best recommendations for us.
Reservation in advance is suggested, they’re very busy, since this place is THE place to enjoy good food and drinks near the beach!
we’ve been going to duke’s every february for almost 30 years. best coconut shrimp on the island and the Hula Pie is to die for!
The customer service is amazing. We are completely satisfied on the foods that were served and the server took care of us very well.
Made a 1015am reservation here for our 2 year anniversary. We went with the breakfast buffet. The service all around was fast. No waiting, always being served every 5 mins & short lines at the buffet. Loved it.... Round 2 All you can eat breakfast food? Yes please!!!
Great service and great food!
Always love coming to Dukes’s and they did a great job ensuring everyone was COVID safe. We will always make Dukes a priority each time we are in town.
Server was not friendly. Her name is Janelle.
Service was amazing from the time we arrived! Great food and fun!
Service was just Horrible so bad we had to get the manager involved.
Food was amazing and almost made it worth the bad service.
Actually received our food before our first glass of wine!
Steak wasn’t real filet but service was great get the prime rib instead
I love the live music and view! This is the spot for any type of group to enjoy!
I ordered the filet mignon with Yukon mash potatoes and bok choy with mushrooms. The filet mignon was so tender, juicy, and flavorful. The bok choy with mushrooms was very well seasoned and the mash potatoes had a hint of sweetness which made it very good. There was also green mustard sauce on the plate that was out of this world! I would highly recommend the filet mignon dish to first comers.
Just seemed that everything that came out was cold. Had the sticky ribs and they were cold and my prime rib was cold. Service was a little slow too.
