Enjoyed a wonderful dinner, great service and the food was excellent as always. One of my favorite places in Lexington.
We always love Dudley’s, but visited this time for Restaurant Week, and what an experience! We both had salmon which was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Service was outstanding-as always!
It is always important to have true culinary dining in town. Dudley's on Short is just that; creative, original recipes with excellent service and ambience.
The appetizers & entrees were delicious, although the dessert to the Restaurant Week meal was rather pedestrian and tasted "grocery-store bought". Still, we enjoyed our meal. Re the value, charging $32 (rather than $37) for the meal would have been more reasonable.
They are very accommodating! We HIGHLY recommend rooftop seating....amazing ambiance!
We attended Restaurant week. The salmon was excellent. One of our party had the pork chop and thought it was good but not exceptional. The tomato watermelon salad was also a hit. The cucumber buttermilk soup was wonderful!
The petite filet was a horrible cut and had a lot of gristle in it. I ordered medium rare and it was more on the rare side. Extremely hard to chew. The snapper was also over cooked and both dishes had no flavor. The lump crab on the filet was extremely fishy. I’m so sad bc Dudleys has always been a reliably good spot for a great meal.
Visited Lexington for a long weekend and had a great experience at Dudley's. Wonderful service, excellent cocktails (the gin one with Tuaca was especially tasty), and delicious food - the tournedos off the normal menu and snapper off the seasonal. Perfect date night.
5 year wedding anniversary. Outstanding service and food. The Manager recognized our special evening and provided a complimentary desert to cap off the evening. Ambiance was perfect for the occasion.
We have been away from Lexington for a few years, and we’re so excited to return to Dudley’s for dinner. Everything was excellent — the food, staff, venue! We love this place ❤️
Food was good. Tomato salad has about a tablespoonfuls of tomatoes. Steals all cooked to order and reasonable quality.
Service was very cordial and timely except manager types kept eyeballing our group.
Food value was probably just a bit overpriced for the higher end cuts.
Worst was the noise level. Extremely high.
My husband and I came there for a romantic quiet dinner with excellent food. When we walked in the noise level was so loud that we couldn’t even talk to each other. Several other customers also mentioned the same thing to us as they were leaving. We asked if we could have a different table and they did accommodate us and were very gracious but it felt more like a crazy bar then a nice romantic restaurant
Great service and atmosphere!
The servers are food and drink experts, and very helpful as well. The bar looks just like one should and the dining rooms are beautiful. Creative menu — and it's fulfilled.
I am a huge fan of both the food and the staff! Our server worked with us to make sure the evening went off without a hitch. Can’t wait to come
Loved our waiter! Very nice guy. Food was delicious. Thanks!
Very disappointing. Usually Dudleys has exellent food. The steaks were terrible, and the wine we ordered never made it to the table. Usually we go for lunch and it is one of my wife's favorite places...won't be going back anytime soon.
Always a wonderful experience dining at Dudley's!
Excellent as always. Only “gripe” would be for one or two more specials for some variety. But when you get great food, it’s hard to complain. Great service.
Definitely a recommendation for Lexington. With the lack of truly innovative or trendy restaurants in Lexington Dudley's offers a solid dining experience, with very good food, service, and atmosphere. Perhaps a bit traditional and expected menu offerings, nevertheless of high quality.
We enjoy! Classy and evening well structured by Dudley’s
Service and food was outstanding. I enjoyed my experience.
New to town & exploring the local restaurant scene. Maddie had our table and was simply the best - from spot-on menu recommendations to careful attention to timing courses and keeping wine refreshed, she made our evening out truly a treat. Dudley’s is a keeper and so is Maddie. Will request to be seated with her when we return.
PS - enjoyed clever cocktails like the peach basil sparkling Bellini sangria as well as delicious halibut special and blue cheese salad. Companion impressed by his Tournedos Maxwell entree and same salad.
Anniversary dinner was outstanding. Thank you!
Great service. Attentive but not overbearing. Nice spacing on filling the surrounding tables. Food was perfectly prepared.
Table was ready on arrival. First time here. Loved the atmosphere. Our waitress was very attentive. Starter, main entree and dessert all excellent in taste and presentation.
Would definitely recommend and return here.
Overall cost was very reasonable.
Was seated at a table next to a large party. The group was loud and inconsiderate. We could not hear the waiter through much of the evening. They kept changing seats, walking around the table, standing - treating it much like a bar. One man backed into my chair, not even realizing I was there. I had to ask him to step away from my chair. Management should have done a better job dealing with it.
Just awful! We used to love
coming Dudleys, and the food was so beyond horrible, we will not be back it is such a shame, because the restaurant is just so beautiful.
Three of us ordered food, and three of us received just AWFUL meals
Dudleys, you need to get it together, get your kitchen back up to speed
We feel like you are on the verge of going under
Boutique restaurant that has a European feel. Service was outstanding, and food was great…we will be back when traveling to Lexington again.
It is immaculate every time.
Our anniversary dinner at Dudley’s was great in every aspect.
Always amazing food and service.
Spectacular food in a beautiful setting! Great service from Nicholas. I can’t say enough positive things about this gem of a restaurant. Lexington is very lucky to be the home of Dudley’s for so many years. It is always special to eat here.
Dudley’s is better than ever. We appreciate having such a fine establishment in our town.
Waiter is outstanding as he has served us now on multiple occasions. I believe his name is Chase, Chas, or Cass.
Dudley’s was a big loud and festive, but overall wonderful.
Great food. Great service. we are regulars here because of the great experience here time after time.
Excellent food. Excellent service. My favorite restaurant in town.
Great server and the food was good. Calamari needed more sauce as did the tourenados. Love the ambiance.
Our server was friendly and appropriately attentive and the food was delicious, as usual!
