Mashed potatoes & mushrooms tasted different… maybe a new cook? Besides that our waiter wasn’t really attentive with us and half the time we had to look for him. Probably won’t come back.

We stayed at the Mission Inn for our anniversary weekend, and ate at Duane’s for our anniversary dinner. I had the filet mignon and my husband the New York steak with peppercorn sauce. Both were delicious! I had French Onion soup and my husband the escargot for appetizers. Those were okay. Our waitress Alisa was wonderful and very attentive. My only complaint was that I made the reservation well in advance on Open Table, indicating it was our anniversary, but we got a so-so table in the upper room, and when I asked for one in the lower room, the hostess declined. And nothing said about our anniversary. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Food and atmosphere are excellent, however very pricey. Dinner for two, tip and PARKING was $300 (food only-no booze). Valet parking previously was comped with Duane's validation...now they charge you $20 for valet parking after $300 receipt validation discount.

My husband and I went for our 20th Wedding Anniversary and the meal was amazing. From our starters to our dessert it was delicious. Hubby started with the French onion soup then the steak Diane. Every bite was delicious. I had shrimp cocktail then the lobster and garlic mash potatoes. Again every bite was delicious. Ended with the Creme Brule and it was devine.

We went for a 3 day weekend and made reservations for saturday night . We love the Inn keepers salad. I ordered the prime rib and mushrooms. The steak was excellent and the salads were delicious as always.

Duane’s is overpriced and coasting on the reputation of being inside an historic hotel with beautiful ambience. Shrimp cocktail served on a plate with a dab of cocktail sauce, Mac and cheese that was watery and undercooked-I’ve had better from a Kraft’s box from Vons. A dried 8oz grilled piece of swordfish with no tartar sauce-the server told me the restaurant carries no tartar sauce but she would try to have the kitchen make some for me if I wanted to wait awhile. My dinner companion’s chicken was described as tasteless. My after dinner Sambuca was served in a generic tumbler instead of a snifter with coffee beans. All this for over $300! Trust me I will not be returning to Duane’s. Overrated, overpriced and I’m over it.

Went for our anniversary and the food was amazing! The steaks were on another level of quality. Cooked and seasoned to perfection and very tender The service was very good and the atmosphere was excellent. We had one nearby table that was perhaps a bit more boisterous than was appropriate for the setting but this was not the restaurant’s fault.

I love this place. The ambiance is incredible and the food is always delicious. The only thing I miss is that they make the Cesar salad in front of you using real anchovies. They should bring that back. Other than that, the service was impeccable and we had an amazing experience
