Duane's Prime Steaks & Seafood Restaurant
The warm amber tones, sophisticated décor and art compliment the steak & seafood restaurant's central masterpiece, the Charge Up San Juan Hill painting.
This significant painting of Teddy Roosevelt and the Rough Riders measures almost eight feet tall by six feet wide and is one of the largest paintings located at The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa.
Friday & Saturday: 5:00pm - 10:00pm
Dined at Duane’s to celebrate my Birthday. It was an absolutely perfect choice! From entering the Hotel the ambiance takes you to a very special place rich with history. The atmosphere is absolutely stunning! We were seated immediately and our Server Assistant was very prompt to greet us and offer water. He let us know our server would be Mario. We felt like special guests in for a treat.
Mario greeted us in a friendly manner and I ordered a nice celebratory bottle of Caymus Cabernet. He was very knowledgeable of wines and was very delightful when pouring our taste.
He was not rushed and answered all of our questions in perfect description and detail. All of his suggestions were spot on, the food just melts in your mouth.
Service was not rushed, and not slow either, timing of coarses were perfect.
We ordered the Escargot for starter- it wasn’t to rich, nice and buttery. I wanted a salad for some freshness but I didn’t want to get filled up so we ordered our mains-I had the Scallops with sautéd spinach and they were just as described-melted in your Mouth. Paired with the sautéd spinach was perfect! My fiancé enjoyed the filet and lobster with mash potatoes and asparagus-divine!!
I had to have dessert as it was my special day so I decided on the cheesecake. It was nice, light and a perfect choice to balance out the meal.
Everything was absolutely perfect, a memorable experience! We will definitely choose Duane’s for our next special occasion dinner!
The food was amazing. The server however was not. He seemed to forget that we were there. We had to ask for things that we shouldn't have to ask for at a four star restaurant (extra bread, we ended up pouring our own wine, a dessert selection etc.) and then our bill was wrong and I had to get up to find someone to help correct it.
Outstanding food, served by a very attentive team, who make the experience wonderful. The atmosphere is great, the Mission Inn is a wonderful place to have a fantastic setting for dinner.
We thoroughly enjoyed the escargot, beef carpaccio and Hokkaido scallops. All three items were perfectly done, including the sauce on the scallops. The service was awesome, from Austin keeping our water glasses filled and removing items as appropriate. The sommelier (sorry can't recall his name) who gave advice on a wine special. And last, but not least, our server, Mario. All were attentive without being intrusive and we felt pampered and special. Thanks to all!
From start to finish, everything was perfect. Our server, Annette, our Sommelier, John - just everyone was friendly and professional. The food was superb and they made us feel very special - it was our anniversary and they all congratulated us.
Very friendly service, delicious food. Staff was very helpful and fun.
I’ve been here many times for business - it’s a good spot in Riverside for a business meal. In fact this was my third meal at the mission inn this week.
Food is generally okay and service is fine, and price is high.
But today was just an embarrassment. The main guest at the table was waiting 20 minutes for his meal while everyone had been served. Everyone’s steaks were horribly over cooked. Several of us had ordered steaks “Pittsburgh” style but they were nowhere near that. Coffee came out cold. Sommelier kept trying to sell us wine we didn’t want, and two bottles we asked for from the menu were not available.
At the very least after everything that went wrong, I would have expected something to be taken off the bill (total for 6 was $670 without tip). But they didn’t take anything off, not even the meal that came late. At least a coffee! Nope.
Always enjoyed your fine dining, anniversary, birthday celebrations. Love the atmosphere.
6th year Anniversary we love coming here since we got married at the MISSION INN
Service tonight by the triage team of Juliette, Samira and Eddie. Grateful for the tolerance of my coveting "Duane's Charger Plate"---aesthetic is superb. Being left in a state of "want" is a foreign feeling at Duane's Prime Steakhouse. Tried the DiRōNA award winner Chilean Sea Bass which was pan seared and embellished in a vibrant puddle of lemon dill sauce--c'est magique! We had tiramisu for the "finale" with coffee. Thanks Samira and Eddie.
Duane’s is a very formal restaurant. A little too formal for my taste, but the tomahawk steak special they run is a great deal. You get soup or salad, bread, a huge tomahawk steak served tableside, choice of two shareable sides, two desserts and a $40 bottle of wine from their own winery. All delicious. Another very slight downside was that although they seem to have numerous people waiting on each table (the restaurant was not at all full btw) they weren’t completely on top of things. They never returned to pour our wine 😳 I would still totally recommend the s restaurant, but mainly for the specials.
This is always a great dinging experience! Food and service is always exceptional!
Wonderful restaurant for a special occasion or date night. We had the Tomahawk steak special and it was cooked perfectly, tender and juicy. The atmosphere is warm and rich with beautiful artwork on the walls. The staff are friendly and knowledgable. We can't wait to go back!
Celebrated our wedding anniversary at Duane's Prime Steaks & Seafood Restaurant. We arrived five minutes before our reservation time and were seated immediately. The restaurant was well appointed with historic art and elegant settings.
Service was excellent! Our wait staff included five persons who catered to our every want and need.
The wine, appetizers and main course were excellent. We were even treated to a dessert to share.
Very nice to sit and talk with my wife without loud and unruly patrons around us. Very well paced meal which took two hours to enjoy. Pricey, but well worth it.
The service and the people were great but the lobster was like rubber with no taste to it but the cheese cake was delicious
Staff was very accommodating. The ambiance was comfortable and relaxing. We were greeted upon entry by well dressed employees and were seated immediately even though it was before our reservation. The food was made exactly how it was requested. The flavor was phenomenal on the filet mignonette and the shrimps were perfect.
Wonderful! Service, food and staff on point. Special attention for the Somm and meat prepared to each persons preference.
THIS IS THE SECOND TIME WE HAVE CELEBRATED OUR ANNIVERARY DINNER AT DUANE'S. WE WERE FORTUNATE TO HAVE JUST HAPPENED TO BE THERE ON TOMAHAWK RIBEYE THURSDAY. EXECELLENT MEAT WITH SIDES OF LOBSTER MASHERS AND CREAMED SPINACH. POSSIBLY ONE OF THE BEST MEALS EVER,
Duane's is a great place for a Special Occasion. The service is impeccable. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. You won't be disappointed if you order the correct items. I didn't care for the Onion Soup and the Oysters were way to large. The Rib Eye was good. The brussel sprouts AMAZING! My Wife had the Lobster and Fillet. Not a fan of the grilled lobster tail. We will go back again for sure. If you don't get the Mac and Cheese you are missing the best side in all of California!
Amazing and Delicious!!
Outstanding!!! Place is awesome located at the famous Mission Inn Hotel.
We love Duanes and have been going there for years, service is always very good. This specialty dinner was a good price at $119.95 but we were disappointed in the steak. It had quite a bit of gristle and about a half inch of fat along the edge.
Super disappointed. We had reservations and were seated in the worst table in the house-a view of the kitchen door! It was our 40th anniversary. Food came out super slow, inattentive servers, disappointing.
Robert Was so polite and professional during our time there Monday evening. He made sure to bring the dessert menu half way through the meal so we did not have to wait forever like some other places for dessert to make it to our table. The young lady who carved our steak table side sliced it perfectly and gave us the option of wrapping the bone to take home to our pet. Overall, great experience.
Good food, ok service, and bad seating next to the wall.
Duane's is our favorite place for special occasions. Love there food.
Was a great place to celebrate my sons Birthday. Thank you for making it special!
Tomahawk was fantastic
Excelllent food and service. Great dinning feel espcially for romantic settings.
Service and food are more than excellent at Duane's. The atmosphere is comfortable and romantic....perfect place for wedding anniversary dinner.
Love the food and service is Great 👍😊. My husband and I come here every year to celebrate our Anniversary. I highly recommend this place for a Romantic evening.
The best "date night" restaurant in Riverside!
Tomahawk Steak for 2! Great price great deal!
This is one of my favorite restaurants. It is one of the few 5 diamond restaurants in Riverside and has exceptional wine list, food, and service. I try to go her for special occasions!
I will return again and again as my wife and I are trying to bring the romance back.
Our waitress, cook Dios, and every employee was amazing!
Food and restaurant ambiance are fantastic for a romantic evening. Food was delicious this evening. Had an usual group next to us that was strangely loud and inappropriate which was not the fault of the restaurant. Still a great experience.
We went to Duane’s to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Everything was exceptional! We would definitely consider this place for our next special occasion celebration!
Everything was good however it was a Friday night and there is a band playing so in regards for an intimate date it was still a little bit loud where we were located. Granted, I could have/should have asked to be moved
We haven't been to Duane's is some time, and I'm sorry we haven't. We've been frequenting Flemings in Rancho Cucamonga. No much. The different in quality was incredible. The atmosphere was much nicer and quiet. It was more relaxing and the cocktails are better as well. This visit we celebrated our wedding anniversary, but we love going out to dinner, and Duane's will be on our list of dinner houses to go to.
