Dragonfish Asian Cafe
We didn't end up eating, we left after 10 minutes of being ignored and taking in the site of the restaurant. Super sad to say this too because my husband and I got engaged there nearly 20 years ago and have been back a couple times a year ever since. We walked in and it looked like a hole in the wall. The benches were gone in the bar, I know they have been for awhile but they didn't bother repaint the wall where it was removed. There were 4 tables against the window and a black curtain that covered up the main enterence. I'm sure that's because the main restaurant wasn't open yet but it looked terrible, just leave the current off. Who cares if you can see back there even though you're not sitting back there. There were two tables occupied and the other two tables were completely un-bussed. We made a reservation, even though it was early, we thought it may get busy after the show at the Paramount. They were completely unprepared for ANY more customers other than the 3 parties that were at tables (one tall table by the bar) and the folks sitting at the bar. Sign said "see the bartender to be sat". We waited next to the bar for 10 minutes and he never once made eye contact with us. That gave us time to look around and in disgust, my husband and I said at the same time "lets go somewhere else". Heartbroken because of how much we've LOVED Dragonfish in the past, we left and went to Ruth's Cris. I'm not sure if it was an off night or if this is the future of Dragonfish. The place looked disgusting, unkept, untidy and like a dive bar. Had it been our first time there we would never be back.
Good location, good food, and they were very patient as we were there with a toddler.
We made a reservation for a weeknight and AM I GLAD! People were waiting in line at the front, but we were whisked right to our table! Yummy cocktail, crispy spring rolls and do I ever love the braised chicken bowl - spicy with peanut sauce and noodles. Our waiter was great, I wish I could remember his name so I could give him a specific shout-out - anyway, he was a charmer! Just right and an enjoyable end to a day at the NW Flower and Garden Show!
Always great. Awesome happy hour.
Enjoyed happy hour and the prices were fantastic and in particular for downtown. Great ambience, good service and would definitely recommend.
They have changed the menu recently and the food was not as good as it use to be. If was fine for a quick bite but I won't be going back.
Service was terrible. Items were forgotten, some dishes arrived that were not what we ordered, and it all took forever!!!! The menu also changed since we were last there and the selection was not very good. Everything just tastes the same, simply presented differently. My husband and I used to go here for date nights, and our family has been going here for years before attending shows. Sadly we will not be going back.
Great restaurant! Happy Hour menu has a great selection.
Service was painfully slow.
We had reservations and were seated right away. Happy hour is wonderful with several small plate options. If really hungry you may want to order off the main menu or order several options since they are smaller servings. Great food and love the ability to come back after a show and still get a bite to eat with their later hours.
Great food and service
Food was good, service was okay. Overall would go again. I do wish they had a bigger menu, at least more options for everyone.
Delicious rolls, delicious cocktails. Great place for family style ordering and trying a little of this and a little of that.
I love eating here. Food good. We were stuck behind a wall this time. Our designated waiter didn’t get to us in a timely manner but another waiter attended to us very well.
Since our last visit, the menu has been changed with some items being dropped.
Our favorite eggplant fries is no longer on the menu and a huge disappointment
Dragonfish is a wonderfully reliable Asian fusion restaurant...and, their Happy Hour is "da bomb."
Dragonfish has the best happy hour. The food is incredible and I can’t believe the prices for the quality of food you get. I highly recommend this place. It’s one of my go to spots!
Small portions, but delicious. Unfortunately the service was a disaster! My girlfriend and I ordered appetizers, entrees and desserts. My girlfriends appetizer came out. Then 10 minutes later our desserts came out!?!? When asked about my appetizer and our entrees we were told by a different waiter that they were on their way. Then they bring me the wrong entree (still haven't received my appetizer?) I point out that it's the wrong entree so they take it away. My appetizer then arrives with my girlfriends entree. My entree finally arrived an hour after it was ordered. Then to top it off the waiter made a big show of the fact that they "comped" us for the wrong entree on the bill. What? Comp means getting something you dont pay for. They didn't leave the "wrong" entree at the table for us to eat. They took it away. So of course you better have removed an item from our bill that we DIDN'T order! That doesn't mean it was comped, it means the bill is now correct.
Great place! Loved the Happy Hour menu! Excellent service by Bianca, great food, and really nice atmosphere! Will go back!
First time here, absolutely the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Drinks were good, all other small plates we got were great. Will definitely be going again!
Another great experience. Mari and staff are so welcoming. Tried the nan pam new dish...delicious
Reviewing my experience is tricky for me based on this visit. I told my waitress that I had a peanut allergy (like anaphylaxis-level) when I ordered food, and as I was eating one of the items I ordered (a veggie rice bowl) I found a peanut in my food. My waitress apologized and insisted she mentioned the allergy on my ticket. This is incredibly concerning to me that the kitchen staff did not look closely enough in preparing my food and that the cross-contamination occurred even when I specifically mentioned my severe allergy. I was very lucky that I noticed it before I ate that bite, but the experience left me feeling rattled and soured my overall opinion of the restaurant. I enjoyed pretty much every part of the meal otherwise, but this was absolutely unacceptable for me. I want to go back based on the other parts of my meal, but it will be tough to convince myself to go back after this experience.
Brilliant food, great value, helpful staff
Caramel ginger EVERYTHING! Servers are always funny, knowledgeable and relatable. I have been a patron of the Dragonfish Cafe since it opened and I am so glad it still lives up to the original high standards. Awesome lime ricky shrimp and caramel ginger chicken. The lychee drop and lemongrass lime ricky are still some of the best cocktails.
Our meal was fabulous. We took advantage of the happy hour menu and was able to sample a number of dishes. Loved them all
Selection was limited, lacked in authenticity and built in the idea of fusion. The service was great. However, the taste of the food needs major assistance.
Spicy means spicy. Our waitress was AWESOME and management took care of a small issue we had with our food, even though we didn’t ask. Waitress noticed one person wasn’t eating their dish
I love DragonFish Asia! It’s my go-to for all happy hours before Paramount Theatre shows!
Mary our server was excellent we seem to get her everytime and she is amazing! Would recommend this place to everyone. Excellent food.
Incredible service. Menu changed a little with great selections. We did lunch this time and service was so personalized. Highly recommend
Happy hour food upset my stomach for two days. Service was great & food delicious, but my guts say a different rating.
As aa kid, dragons were never my favorite thing. I was never enthralled. Fish? Well, I am biased. I am a pisces.
Put the two together though and up comes one terrific little watering hole.
My husband and I were out on a date night, including theatre.
Dragonfish was the perfect preamble to the play.
Limited vegetarian options
Dragonfish is my “go to” restaurant before the Paramount. The plate sizing are great for sharing with a friend. Always pleased I went.
This is my absolute favorite place to eat, and take my family and friends! I made a reservation before our show at the Paramount Theater, so we were very excited. I would have given 5 stars for each category, but the restaurant was out of some of the ingredients for the Dragon Smoke cocktail (which I always get), and ran out of the fried spring rolls, about 30 minutes after we had ordered our first plate of them. We ordered other cocktails, and other food, so it was fine.
Great quick food and a nice variety too.
I had not been there in years.
I need to go back sooner than later.
Perfect girls night out spot! Good vibes cute atmosphere amazing prices
The New Year’s Eve promo was really good (35 per person and no alcoholic drinks included ) since there were plenty of options. I will definitely come back in a near future. The only thing I didn’t like is that the restrooms are not inside the restaurant itself but in the hotel. Other than that food and service were outstanding.
New years eve menu was very limited but the food was good.
The service was very poor. We waited over 15 minutes after being seated to even get a waiter to our table.
