The drinks were fine, but the food was absolutely terrible. I ordered the salmon benedict and it was the smallest portion i have every seen - half of one muffin!! In the end it was actually good that it was so small because it was so heavily over-salted that we couldn't really eat it. Really unpleasant. The service was also pretty terrible. The restaurant was empty bar us and two other tables but we has to wave to get her attention the majority of the time. And she had no idea about anything on the menu. She advised that the 'steak benedict' was a thin steak on a muffin. When it came it was steak and chips. It was as though this was the soft opening week of the restaurant, but i understand it's been open for a while. Really really disappointing.

Service was pretty bad, we were the only table for a good hour into our brunch. The waitress kept walking towards our table then changing her mind at the last minute. My friend ordered eggs benedict and she brought out eggs be edict with steak instead of ham, and said this was the only eggs benedict option on the menu although the menu did not explain this?! The three of us that had eggs in some form were all disappointed as they were basically hard boiled. We waited so long to get our bill desire trying to catch the waitresses eye when she wandered towards us that we ended up going straight to the bar and asking to pay.

We waited for 40minutes plus for are meal. When it arrived it was below average, and the unlimited booze brunch deal was very disappointing to say the least. We waited for atlas 10 minutes to get a top up and the bloody mary tasted awful! Do not go here.

We were there for a friends birthday. I booked it as a surprise and it was great. We have a private room that seated 16 of us dining, the tables were quickly folded down after and we have some more friends come join us. Dinner was like a family banquet, sharing and very sociable. We had our won bar person who knew all our fav cocktails and got dancing with us. All in all a great night and I will be booking again for the future.

I was a bit concerned as I arrived as it was very loud downstairs and I am not such a fan of having to scream at my date over dinner! But the space upstairs was airy and a lot quieter. Just sad the food let them down.

On arrival we were told there were people on our table so sit anywhere in the bar. There was no wine list eventually we were told there was a Merlot or one other I can't remember, no more info was given. We asked why we were in the bar not the restaurant as we'd pre booked the table and we were told it was booked for a private event. We finally managed to find someone to order our food from, the main courses were good. After another struggle to order dessert then wait for far too long it was awful. We eventually got bored of waiting for any kind of service and paid at the bar, the bar man was very sympathetic and cheered us up a bit. We were expecting a lot more and came away disappointed.

I've been to the Dolls House in Hoxton Square before so I was looking forward to trying their brunch. When we arrived they seated us right at the back of the restaurant, it was really dark and felt quite dirty. The service wasn't good - they were disorganised, badly managed, weren't helpful and had no initiative (I asked for scrambled eggs and the waitress told me I could only have things on the menu - they had eggs and all the other ingredients to make them), the waitress was also fairly incoherent throughout the meal, it was loud, slow, average food and small portions. The bathrooms were disgusting, I felt like I was in a club. I really wouldn't recommend anything about this place.

I don't know if it was just bad luck that day but I sadly didn't really enjoy my Sunday lunch there. The place is nicely decorated and there was a good ambience but we had to wait for a very long time to be served, even though the restaurant was half empty, and the roasts were extremely disappointing, with vegetables that looked like they had been taken out of a can. The cocktails were good though.

Booked for a friend's birthday. We had dinner upstairs first. The menu was quite limited but the dishes were well-executed, fresh ingredients with wonderful flavours. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We then went downstairs to the bar for more drinks and a bit of dancing. The DJ was excellent, music was great, crowd was a good mix. Cocktails were a bit hit and miss though. One bartender was rather disapproving of us ordering shots as people around us were ordering bottles of champagne, which I thought was unnecessary. Otherwise we had a great night out, thank you!

This is my 2nd visit to Islington venue and we had another great visit. I went with my 2 friends and we had dinner and drinks on a Wednesday. The food was fantastic, the staff friendly and just had a really lovely evening. You are made to feel welcome! The starters were mouthwatering and the mains cooked to perfection!! Loved and will be back again!

whilst the staff were very friendly, unfortunately the service was incredibly slow and when our meal was finally served it did not live to the expected standard. I would suggest you visit for a drink... That too only if you're really struggling to find another bar.

Really enjoyed our meal here on Saturday night. The staff were really friendly, the atmosphere was great and the restaurant were really accomodating when we had a few friends joining us for drinks at our table even though they were packed. We even got to stay over our two hour time time slot. Going down stairs to party at the bar after was ideal and made for a fab evening. The food was delicious but I do feel it was slightly over priced. It wouldn't stop me from going back though!

the house of wolf has been transformed into the dollhouse. A gorgeous, light and airy three story restaurant come cocktail bar. Service is absolutely excellent, the decor is delightful, the food is high end British cuisine that can't be faulted and the cocktails are amazing. I would recommend this 100%

Venue is very interesting and better suited for a night out with friends than a romantic/quiet dinner out. Gets extremely loud after 9 pm. Service was good albeit a bit slow and food was good but not as outstanding as described in other reviews I had read. All in all would probably go back with friends because of the exceptional venue but not well suited for a quiet intimate date unless you go around 7 ish.

I was a fan of The Dolls House, Hoxton so have been really excited to try the new venue - especially now that they're open Sundays! Definitely was not disappointed. I had roast beef which was cooked to perfection and so tasty. All of the accompaniments were amazing as well, right down to the homemade horseradish sauce. Lovely chilled atmosphere, staff were great fun and the place itself is even more gorgeous than their last home. I will definitely be making Sundays here a regular thing.

The building is lovely and the ambiance great (although we had some trouble finding the restaurant as the staff kept trying to send us to the first floor). However, the food in the restaurant was disappointing (the chicken was overcooked) and the menu was very limited with only a few items.

We were there for a friends drinks booking so thought we would grab dinner before hand in the restaurant. We were walked through the house and introduced to a reservations lady who seated us and passed us over to Jimmy our waiter, the interior is beautiful and the chairs were comfy, the music was just the right volume. As per usual I ordered the Steak and a Old Fashion and my wife ordered the veg option and a glass of bubbles, the food took about half an hour as the place was packed but we were told it would take this long so no bother. My steak was amazing, supplied by Turner and George (never heard of them but apparently they are owned by Hawksmore) and was well aged and full of flavour. The veg option was Jerusalem artichoke and Gnocchi with all different textures which was amazing and fresh. The drinks menu is classic and simple but done very well, I especially like the big block of Ice in the Old Fashion and the espresso Martinis that followed. After we finished our food we moved down to join our friends who had reserved one of the private rooms for a birthday. The whole of the downstairs was pumping at 10pm which was great. Our friends were playing their own music in the private space they had hired and there was a great DJ on the ground floor making the place swing. Some of my friends tried to get in at midnight but they were at capacity so they had to wait for 30 mins but apart from that it was a brilliant night and we will be back soon.

I was keen to try this place as newly opened and replacing House of Wolf in an interesting looking building on Upper Street. First, the positives, pleasing interior decor with teale cushioned seats, crystalware, piano in back and cute baby poodle curled up on a rug next to it, two nice sized rooms upstairs for a private dinner/drinks function and generally lovely, very friendly staff and service. It was fairly pricey (£21 for steak, £17 chicken). Both the steak and chicken, which came with duck fat chips were very good, just perhaps not quite good enough to merit the price. We felt a little unwelcome because of our two toddlers. There is no actual doll's house there, in case you're wondering, but a glass cabinet with a porcelain dog collection!

A new venue with a chilled vibe, the food menu is simple but ohh soo good! I would highly recommend and if possible get a seat by the large victorian windows. The service was fantastic, a great middle ground between attentive without being intrusive and very friendly. I will most certainly be going back.

I went to the Dead Doll's club for dinner with friends at the weekend and we all had a great time. The cocktails were delicious and the menu, while not huge, had a good selection of starters and mains and all of us cleared our plates! I can also thoroughly recommend the little coffee/chocolate cups for dessert. The service was very friendly and attentive and the dining room itself is lovely with quirky but luxurious decor. I'll definitely be back...
