Food was lackluster and far below previous dining experience there. Very short-staffed. Wait staff very lacking in experience, had to request all things that normally we would be asked about. Things like drink order, appetizer, bread, parmesan cheese, water refills, etc. Seems to have undergone a shift in management for the worse. Sorry to see this in a longstanding establishment in our area.

There was a drunk in the bar area that was not handled as expeditiously as they should have been. They were loud, obnoxious bordering on abusive to another customer and the bartender was very slow handling the issue. This continued for almost an hour. Additionally, the food was very slow although very tasty once received.

I had a 10oz steak, and I ordered it “well done “ (no pink). I grew up on a ranch in the Dakotas, and I know what good beef is and how it should taste. Despite the order, and easterners predilection to not eat beef fully cooked, the chef handled it perfectly. It was fully cooked yet tender without being dry, and delicious. Well done Chef! It was our 3rd time to enjoy the experience and without concerns. We’ll definitely be back!

Outstanding meal excellent service, the typical experience at Dolce Vita for my wife, myself, and our friends. DV never disappoints when it comes to quality dining experience. I had the monkfish piccata and the calamari appetizer, my wife had the lobster and pasta w/the summer salad, our friends had traditional spaghetti and meatballs and clams and linguine. They were 1st diners at DV and they felt it was an excellent experience.

We Found Dolce Vita while looking for brunch after a movie at Fairfax Corner. Plenty of parking. Diner-esque layout when you walk in; a bar / pub wraps around the back; and a door from the bar / pub puts you back out front into a nice outdoor patio area. The service was s-l-o-w. We were one of three or four tables seated in the entire restaurant. There seemed to be enough waiters and cooks. Maybe they were getting ready for dinner or training? Anyway, it took 90 minutes for brunch; and all of it was service delays. The food was good. We both ordered one of the eggs benedict variations, and both were delicious. The eggs were perfect, and the fried potatoes were very good as well. The espresso beverages were well-made--not burnt or instant. The crème brûlée was odd--it seemed to have some citrus note in it or some other herb (elderflower?). It tasted fine, but it was different from what we expected. The price was fair--if the service had been prompt. I will definitely return if for no other reason than it's REALLY hard to find a proper brunch near Fairfax Corner.

Dolce Vita is an informal Italian cafe with a range of lighter and heavier dishes, plus delicious wood-fired pizzas. We enjoyed a early dinner with a large group including small children. The adults and kids happily consumed pizza, gnocchi, calamari and salad, all well-prepared and delicious. Service was flexible, responsive and supportive of our dining with children. A happy place for dinner.

Our party of 3 had an excellent meal here tonight. We enjoyed the shrimp and bruschetta appetizers, the special lobster fettuccini and seasonal peach and heirloom tomato salad, the fettuccine Botticelli and the special seafood risotto. All were delicious. The desserts (tiramisu, berry crisp and cannolis) were the perfect endings to our wonderful meal. Our server, Jose, was attentive, friendly and gave excellent recommendations, and the manager, Mike, stopped by to greet us and ensure we enjoyed our meal. We will be back!

Real deal traditional Italian cuisine and fantastic wine list. I had the chicken saltimboca and my wife had the chicken picatta. Our salad was fresh with a light dressing. Would definitely recommend!

we hadn't been here in a while because we don't live quite as nearby as we used to. we had a delightful time and will definitely make a point of getting back. considering how most restaurant's prices have increased so much due to inflation, here there are still many reasonably priced items to choose from on the menu from appetizers, entrees, dessert and wine. lots of options for any budget. there was a large waitstaff and service was good. we began with the arancini which was fine but next time we'll try one of the other tempting starters. i had a delicious white pizza and added extra veggies. my husband had the cavatelli sardi - both were really delicious!

Food good but valet parking pointless. Brought garlic toast to table too far in advance of meal. Garlic toast was not classic Italian. They seemed to be repurposed buns that were overly toasted. Canneloni portion was small for an entree. Felt like a side dish. Armetta’s is a better choice overall. It was fine but wouldn’t go back.
