I LOVE this place..best food and service ever!!and now they are open for Brunch on Sundays!!Definetly check this place out!
First time back in a number of years, Calamari Fritti and Bracciole in particular were excellent, service was great, excellent, and wine list just right and affordable! We will be back soon!
Always excellent service and wonderful homemade pasta.
Great food! Our favorite Italian restaurant!
Overall, the meal was very good. Warning: On weekends the place can be loud. This is a traditional Italian restaurant and you cannot go wrong if you order old-school Italian items.
Noisy but good food and service. One waiter for 14 people served us well and fast and no issues with checks.
This is a great restaurant that has never failed us. Whenever people are in town and looking for a good meal this is our place.
Very nice place: comfortable, great service, very affordable and really good food!
It was not as expected based on the high online reviews. I was looking for a casual restaurant with a good wine list and good pizza and Italtian food. The atmosphere and wine list held up to expecations. The food quality was fine but not great and the service was a little akward.
Looks like this may have been an amazing place back in the day. Great look to the place but some of the staff had a attitude that made it seem like they didn’t care. Was looking for authentic Italian carbonara, hostess said they cook new how to make it. It came out covered in olive oil as a sauce. Asked if the bread was fresh homemade? Waiter said it usually tastes stale. He was right!!!! Waiter didn’t come back to the table very often. Had to wave down other staff to take care of us. Won’t be back.
I went here for a birthday dinner on a whim. It was recommended to me by a coworker. I am so glad that we went! The charcuterie was fabulous. I had the chicken parmigiana, which was delicious - well breaded chicken and the pasta was definitely homemade. My fiance got this large seafood pasta - it was everything a good seafood dish should be. I would go back!
As always, the food and service was outstanding. Price is a little high but overall I love this place and it is our favorite restaurant.
Another lovely evening at this quaint and cozy Italian favorite. Food was excellent. Never rushed. Great place for dinner or special occasion
Not a nice looking place inside or out. It's fine for a casual family dinner, but not a good date spot. Food was okay.
Food was very authentic Italian. We had an appetizer that came out of their brick oven (name escapes me!) which was outstanding!
Our waiter was very good! He kept up with all our drinks and food. Many of us enjoyed our food very much. A few members of the family are a bit picky and said it was o.k. For the price. We were celebrating two birthdays that day and were given two birthday desserts.
It had been a long time since my wife and I dined at Dolce Vita. We moved a little further away, and just got used to a couple other eateries. We went on Saturday evening and I had a beef braciole that I'm still taking about. Dole Vita reminded us what truly authentic Italian food tastes like. It was SO worth the trip!
Only three stars for ambiance because we found out it's dead on a Sunday night in the summer in terms of patrons. Normally it's packed and we enjoy it very much!
One of our favorite restaurants in the Fairfax area. Food is always good and the staff is always polite and attentive.
We celebrated my husband’s birthday and as expected had an amazing meal at Dolce Vita. Thanks so much for the wonderful evening.
Excellent food superb service every time our favorite Italian restaurant
Outstanding Italian food! From the antipasto to the pasta, the food was off the charts. We had great service from the greeters to the servers.
Another very nice evening. Place empty but got seated near front of restaurant. Not sure why. Tried some new entries and a wonderful bottle of featured wine. Look forward to next time!
Our local favorite!! Food is excellent and the service is fantastic!!
Wow! I came across this restaurant by happenstance and boy was I glad. Super great food and reasonable prices. The service was super. Nice environment. There was a large table celebrating a birthday - but even with them it was not too noisy in the restaurant. I am visiting the area, but if I come back I will find this place again!
The food was amazing as well as the service.
Four of us met for dinner. One couple used the free valet parking service, which is a nice plus. The food was mostly delicious (not the calamari, though), and the service was excellent. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and will return.
Best pizza ever. Other food is just okay
Good Italian food
Service was excellent
Very noisy! two of us had the rockfish with swiss chard. The swiss chard was too tough and not suitable with the rockfish. Otherwise, very good.
The couple in my group had a middling experience years ago but was open to trying it again. Friendly hostess, attentive service, decent portions. We regrettably didn’t have leftovers but not because there wasn’t enough food, just that it was quite good - excellent texture to the house-made fresh pasta, they added grilled chicken to my son’s fettuccine Alfredo per his request, two of us had the papardelle with boar ragu. Having a beef intolerance, it was fantastic to finally be able to eat a ragu and both my son’s and our pasta dishes were excellent. They were generous with the freshly grated Parmesan. Our 4th person ordered the pollo rosmarino and she also finished every last bite. We ordered their featured Pinot Noir which was excellent and we brought the bottle home which had another glass and a half remaining. I live in Va Beach but my son and I will be back to try more of their dishes when I visit him at Mason. Highly recommended!! Come early as it does get loud with more patrons.
Overall the experience was good. However, I purposely mentioned when making the reservation that it was for a birthday. Nobody at the restaurant mentioned it to us. They obviously do or did not get the memo. They brought the check and that was it. Very disappointing.
Always good but service variable. Pasta and risotto are always dependable.
Excellent food and curated Italian wine list. Service is attentive. One of our favorite places to eat. Can get a bit noisy and some of the decorations are a little dusty I recommend that the restaurant look into removing the extraneous dried flower Decor over some of the tables or else keep them cleaner
Quaint and splendid! Will be a life-long customer!!!
Food was excellent. If I had just one thing I had to complain about was the bread they brought out was cold. Honestly the ONLY thing I could say negatively about it. The rest of the meal was excellent and I couldn’t have been happier with all the courses. Friendly and comfortable.
My biggest issue was the "forced" & "complimentary" valet parking where the attendant was quite forceful in stating they work off tips. He went so far as to come into the restaurant to let me know he was leaving..handed me the key and expected a tip right there at the table! There is absolutely no need for valet as the spots are just against the building. The valet is a disservice and annoyance when the attendant interrupts your meal to expect a tip after handing the key over b/c he is leaving his shift.
Food is not top quality. It used to be but something changed. Too bad, was a nice place.
They were able to accommodate 11 of us for lunch on very short notice. Staff was friendly and efficient, great food, as always.
Our party of five was seated in the middle of the front room between the bar area and anther wall booth. This made it a bit louder than comfortable for conversation except with the person directly beside you. The food was delicious as usual and the waiter was pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. As it got more busy in the restaurant, he did have some difficulty following through on occasion. Overall I would rate the night 4 stars as we all enjoyed our meals very much and each other’s company.
