I hate to write a disparaging review of a restaurant but tonight’s dinner was the worst dining experience. The place is old and does not feel clean. The food tasted like rewarmed leftovers, at best. The salad croutons soggy, the shrimp sandy, the filet not cooked to proper temperature, the potatoes dry, and whatever was in my lemon drop was a mystery. We couldn’t wait to leave and we will not ever go back. There was a time, decades ago, that this restaurant was a local delight. It needs some major revamping, both property and cuisine.

We did not find the waiters/waitresses attentive at all. We had to wait quite a while before we got our drinks after ordering them and there was only one other table in the room that had people in it so it was not busy. The food was terrible. My husband‘s fish Was the worst fish he ever had. It was hard dry and tasteless. I had the raviolis the cheese, raviolis with spinach and carrots and vegetables on the side and the sauce was thick and not good. I always thought this was a great place and had great food since it has been here so long Maybe I just hit it on an off night but I will never return.

The house cabernet was lighter than a pinot, bland. All three meals were pedestrian. We live two blocks away and will never return. Terrible value, why go there when there is so much good competition?

Going back in memory lane yet still in 2025. Very friendly, comfortable, and eclectic. Good vibes. Service exceptional with Michael and Carlos. Owner Dominic Pitz a chef as well visits customers and helps them to feel at home. Wonderful selection of dishes each carefully prepared and presented. Menu cards with one selection per 8x11 card. Delightful Prices extremely reasonable for the large size of your meal. No cutting corners on quality at Dizzes. None. The Steak Madagascar and Seabass were delicious with sides of fresh steamed veggies and the tower of Duchess potatoes to die for!! Salad…poppy seed dressing the best Cool music in background under people laughing and conversing. Drinks strong and perfect. Nice wine wine list. Don’t forget to order steamed clams with celery and onions. Desserts the hot chocolate fudge sundae unbelievable! If in Laguna Beach on PCH you must have dinner and cocktails here. Great ambience. Excellent food. Street noise on PCH gets loud if you dine outside. Great service, friendly staff.

The food has definitely gone way downhill. Our meal was terrible. It was like it had been frozen and put in the microwave. So sad!
