I will definitely be back. The food and service was amazing. Thanks for a great evening
We’ve recently moved in the Little Italy area and we are exploring restaurants in the neighbourhood. We went out with friends who enjoy good food and good wine. Selected DiVino based on online reviews and we were not disappointed. Although the evening started with an unmemorable serving of ordinary bread and olive oil, we were very happy with the rest of our selections. Every dish was very tasty and presented with care. The waitstaff did a great job explaining the ingredients in the dishes and with their recommandation of pairing wines. We opted not to go for the Table d’Hote but it was inviting and very reasonably priced. We don’t go back to restaurants very easily because we want to try new things but this might be an exception.
Amazing service and unbelievable meal. 3 course dinner for 39$ can’t get better. Went for date night and left so full! Recommend to everyone for a nice treat yourself day.
Outstanding restaurant with an amazing atmosphere, shane and eric made the experience that much better, will most certainly be back soon
Small portions, mains were very small and not much to them ( we had duck and whitefish). The pasta was excellent!
The server was friendly, but very pushy. We have never had a server sit down at our table and tell us what we are ordering. Actually sit at our table!
The bar area looked nice.
Delicious prix fixe menu with excellent wine pairings. Highly recommend the Gorgonzola gnocchi. Service was friendly but slow (well beyond a reasonable time for pacing courses).
Great wine and food pairing experience, the chef is excellent and took the time to explain all his servings.
The service was outstanding. Eric had remembered the dishes that we liked and made sure the food was available. The dinner was prepared perfectly and the wine that Eric recommended was excellent. We will definitely be back
This was a special dinner for my wife's birthday. It was everything we could have hoped for. From Eric's welcome as we entered the restaurant, Erin's non-intrusive attention to our culinary needs, through Ryan's passion for good, tasty food, we felt pampered and important. We shared two appetizers (scamorza and crudo), two pastas (gnocchi and carbonara), and two mains (porchetta and rabbit). All portions were creatively designed and presented, with wonderful flavours and textures, paired with Eric's excellent wine recommendation for each dish. The diners beside us ordered 1/2 portions, and had all of the appetizers and three of the six pasta offerings, so flexibility is very possible. We sat at the chef's table, overlooking the open kitchen - a good recommendation from a friend. We'll definitely return.
Always amazing food wine and service.
Service was slow - it was a long time before we were given anything to eat, even bread. The main course was served about 2 hours after we sat down. Two of the four dishes were not better than ordinary. The other two (the duck and the rack of lamb) were good. The wine was very good, suggestion of the owner/sommelier. Service was friendly, but cannot make up for the long wait. The cheese tray served after dinner was uninspired (to be charitable), both in content and in presentation. No bread or crackers were offered with the cheese tray - we had to ask for something to eat the cheese with, especially given that some of the cheeses were soft.
My wife and I were in Ottawa and found DiVino's restaurant. What good luck for us.
This is a charming restaurant, with wonderful choices that are obviously a labour of love. I recommend the deep fried, meat stuffed olives, and the seared duck breast I had was quite good. The wine selection is largely Italian, with some good choices ranging from affordable $70 to the $200 range. There is a good selection of by-the-glass wines, and not just the usual. My dessert was a very nice cheese plate.
We had a chance to talk with the owner, Eric, and Shane who guided us through the menu.
I was truly surprised and very pleased with this restaurant, which could hold its own in foody cities such as San Francisco.
This is a great place to eat.
Great food and wonderful service. The owner walked us through the menu and helped us pair our wines with our meal and the chef also stopped by to check in and see how we liked it. We just got back from an italian vacation last month and this meal exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend!
Eric and his staff were fantastic. It was our first time but definitely won’t be our last! Thanks for a memorable dining experience!! Cheers
Great balance between innovative and traditional flavours in their unique take on Italian food. Service was perfect. The owners of this cozy restaurant were present and engaging. Best dining experience we have had in a long while.
Every visit to DVWS is a pleasure for the senses. The cuisine is creative and delicious, the wine selection is on point, and the service is attentive. You always feel like you are getting a personalized dining experience.
As always. Eric Betty Ryan. Dan. Thank you for the experience. The food and then amazing atmosphere. You always out do yourselves
My wife and I had a great evening here and the food was amazing and the staff very informative and friendly
Great food! Great service! Best beef tartare I ever had!
Consistently great food, service, ambiance and staff.
Went to Divino’s to celebrate a birthday. Portion sizes are reasonably priced for high quality dining. Service was superb. A great experience all around. Would highly recommend. Staff are also so incredible and they take care of you like you’re family. We will definitely be returning.
Enjoyed mothers day brunch. I had the tasting menu, so sampled everything available for brunch. Cold smoked salmon was especially good, as was the Italian toast. The poached egg served on the Italian toast didn't really fit with a sweet dish though. Service was good, however, the wait between courses was too long, due to the kitchen, not the server. Very good espresso.
One of the most enjoyable foodie experiences I have ever had!! The food was so fresh, flavourful and delicious. The server knew her menu and wines. The owner Eric talked to us about the prep of food and shared so much with us to make our experience so enjoyable. Sitting at the "Chef's Table" brought the experience over the top. We will be back and I am recommending this experience to everyone. Thanks for giving so much to the clients with tasty food, wine and delivery.
Amazing night! Great food, great service. Will be back soon!
Fantastic service and the food to match... we gave the waitress back the menus and let her bring the group whatever she thought we'd like. She did an incredible job matching wines to the food and predicting our needs. Will recommend to anyone and everyone.
An excellent discovery as this was our first visit
Amazing good. The open kitchen where we litteraly sit on the kitchen is amazing. We had a great night. Amazing chef on the kitchen good is fresh and delicious.
We were a party of 5 and sat at the wide counter (so facing each other) beside the open kitchen. The owner, waiter and chefs were all part of the experience making us feel at home. The menu had “outside of the box” selections with a focus on sharing plates. All of our choices were delicious. They were very accommodating and even cooked up a chicken dish not found on the menu for one of our more picky eaters. The atmosphere was vibrant but not too noisy allowing to talk and hear one another. A unique, eclectic Italian restaurant we highly recommend.
Fabulous as always! Super delicious gnocchi and the desserts were divine. So lucky to have this gem in our hood.
Had a great night. Fun funky. Cared about service.
Most amazing experience, very good food and nice chat with the Chef and the owner that will happily suggest their best meals.
One of the best Italian restaurants in Ottawa. We consistently have great service, they are very flexible in adjusting/customizing the menu and have an excellent wine list.
Sitting near the kitchen gives you a great view of the open prep area and the ability to chat with Chef Ryan. This place is fantastic and the food is wonderful. Do the 5 course with wine pairing!
Terrific meal, with super attentive service. Food for vegetarians was sublime!
We went for Valentine's Day and really enjoyed the pairing menu that Chef Ryan Feltmate had prepared. The wines were carefully selected and the both the service and ambiance were wonderful. To be repeated..
As always. Eric and the staff were amazing. Treating clients with amazing service and knowledge. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere as always enjoyable. ThAnk you for the Amazing food and service
Enjoyable evening with old friends
This is my absolute favorite restaurant hands down. Me and my both feel the same.
It was our first time at DiVino and we will be back for sure. Service was excellent (pleasant, professional, knowledgeable), good recommendation for wine pairing, and we enjoyed our meal. Best beef tartare we’ve had in a long time! Open kitchen concept is also very cool: kitchen is surrounded by a large « chef’s table » / bar. We will be back!
