   Cannot go wrong w/ this restaurant. Never dissappoints. Owner & chef come by to check on you. Like supporting local businesses. Upscale food w/a casual feel

   The service was great, atmosphere was nice, wine and assistance selecting was top notch - but the food was not great and was over priced

   We went for my MIL's birthday. Wanted something slightly upscale, but local. We were very pleased with the expereince. The food was excellent. We had our 2 kids (10 & 9 years old). One had their hand breaded chicken strips with fries and the other asked if she could have their crepe plain. The chef was happy to oblige and recommend a butter/brown sugar/cinnamon mix to cover it with. So she basically had desert for dinner, but she was VERY happy. We shared a full meat/cheese board which was excellent, the kids tried almost everything on that too. The fish was fresh and the lamb was cooked perfectly. They have a few german entree's, however no one at our table tried any of those.

   Enjoyed the modern, stylish décor of the restaurant. Owner stopped at our table and we had a pleasant conversation. The scallops and carrot/pea risotto was very tasty. Portions were large enough for a hungry diner! Very pretty presentation and yummy chocolate mousse cupcake. The Riesling was flavorful and not something you would find in the grocery store.

   Having visited Germany a few times and eating at a few I thought I would be getting the same taste and quality of food. The food was like home cooking and I had never heard of a chicken schnitzel. I was looking for veal and large portions of sauerkraut. I will probably not return to the restaurant.

   Living in Chapel Hill, NC we're used to great restaurants. Divine, however, is absolutely on par with anything at home. We love to eat here when we're visiting relatives just south of Richmond. The food is creative and always delicious, and we've had great experiences with the wine and beer selections we've made (many times with our server's help). Last weekend's server, Liz, was especially knowledgeable and attentive. We always enjoy talking with the owner, Willy. Divine is a restaurant we look forward to coming to again and again.

   Mixed reviews on the food. My duck was great - cooked medium rare, could taste the smoke, great sauce, etc. Friend got same dish & hers was so rare she hard a hard time cutting it, no smoke flavor & very salty. Schnitzel was excellent but scallops were just ok. Service very slow.

   This was my second visit to Divine. And it was just that! The service is great, the food is fabulous. The staff makes you feel very welcome and they even were kind enough to accommodate my 9 year old son by offering to making fish and chips (using the fish of the day) . I highly recommend this spot to have a nice flavorful meal in a great atmosphere! Worth a special trip!

    FATHER'S DAY BRUNCH Took my husband & his parents to brunch. Food was excellent, as always! The short ribs with grits & the surf/turf burger were quite tasty! With only 2-3 tables with customers, service was a bit slower than usual. The waitress did check on us & gave us updates on our order. The owner came to our table to chat, which was nice. Overall, it was an enjoyable, tasty & pleasant experience!
