Loved it. Great food good times.
Always such great service and the tastiest food. Everything is unfussy and fun but also of great quality.
The staff was on point and the food was amazing
We came to Dirty French few times already and it never disappoints!! The vibe is amazing. I love the people that work there, such a great crowd and positive attitude!!
And of course food is out of this world.
If you want to have a great night, Dirty French is your place to go for sure! It never disappoints.
The service was exceptional, very attentive waiters and great food. Our brunch came with a complimentary pastry plate!
We were seated at a table that the servers had to walk sideways to get past.
My friend was continually getting bumped.
Our server checked on us exactly once after taking our order. We had to pour our own wine refills.
The food was good but not great, and very expensive. Even by New York standards.
Valentines Day - DF made it special. Thank you.
Great restaurant, amazing food, love the bar at the Ludlow Hotel, can't miss. Service outstanding, they try their best to max expectations. A must visit.
Food was good. Oysters were good and sea bass was very tasty and something special. Flatbread was not great (had bit of staleness / hard cracker taste), steak was ok (a bit tough). Desserts were good. Service was polite but very slow and attention to / connection with us was absolutely nonexistent . The space was lovely and music was on point. Price tag for experience received was totally misaligned however.
I couldn’t help but think that everyone had to prepay for the dinner and gratuity which may have caused a disconnect between the servers and the guests. Fronting 20% gratuity weeks in advance on $450 bill for two is symbol of trust that the overall experience would be exceptional which it was not.
My friends and I were celebrating Galentine’s Day. At first before ordering, the waiter stopped and came to see if we were ready to order. After we ordered and after the food came out, waiter didn’t really come by. We would have to call him. We were charged for cocktails that we didn’t have. Considered the price, service overall needs improvement. There were just too many workers on the floor and kept bumping into my seat even though it was pulled all the way in. The steak frites, pork chop, and duck wasn’t that great. The grilled oysters, scallops, and bass were good though and would recommend.
Went for brunch, was not busy at all and waited an hour for our food. Coffee came with no milk as ordered or a spoon.
Vodka rocks side of soda came out separately. 2 entrees served not with the 3rd
The hostess Allison was incredibly helpful, especially when we wanted to eat in the lounge versus the main restaurant. She could not have been more pleasant and helpful - and it was a very crowded night due to Fashion Week. Overall we loved Dirty French though the servers were distracted and not great in the lounge (this Allison came to our rescue again!) but I attribute this to Fashion Week.
We will go back and love all of the MFG restaurants!
Delicious food, great ambience, great service! Expensive!
Sommelier was very helpful - wine he picked for us was perfect and a good value. Waiter was attentive. A little loud but it was Saturday night after all.
Loved the live music during Saturday brunch - will be returning!
Festive atmosphere and delicious food. Once we were moved to a better (booth) table, it felt like our farewell dinner was elevated. It took a bit of negotiation, but it really made a huge difference. Dinner and drinks were great as usual.
Excellent warm service by Alex and the Sommelier.
Every course was outstanding. The restaurant had a cool vibe and played great music.
So much fun to go with friends!
The ambiance was perfect. The grilled oysters were fun to eat and delightful in taste. I enjoyed the spicy pork. We were never rushed.
Excellent brunch overall with live music.
Duck hash delicious and hearty, hollandaise on Benedict could be more flavorful and thicker but overall food was great.
Get attention from a server took a little bit but staff overall very nice.
Went for Saturday brunch; too chilly out to sit in exquisite garden area. Otherwise a perfect spot: live jazz, prompt tablemates enjoyed inverted-croissant egg sandwich, subtly flavored pancakes, & light/tasty tartine. Eager to get back to DF for dinner!
I was very underwhelmed for dinner at Dirty French. I’ve been for brunch and thought it was great. The food attempted to be robust on the menu, but was average once served. Each entree dish seemed to be missing some element (we ordered the sea bass, spicy pork chop, and 2 ducks) to bring the dish together. The spicy pork chop was not a tinge spicy, and was paired with something I couldn’t identify (a vegetable doused heavily in cream) if I didn’t look back at the menu. The venue was quite busy, dark and brooding, but I’m on the fence if I would go back for dinner.
Hadn’t been in awhile because first few times were disappointing with service issues and lots of confusion- well, that’s all changed. Food was always good, it’s better now! Service was unbelievably great, attentive, friendly, not rushed and the place was hopping busy too. We had a great experience, an even better meal and can’t wait to go back! *. 5 stars this time!
Food is not worth the $. Very underwhelming steak frites. Go for the vibe, not for the food.
Had a terrific birthday dinner with friends on Saturday night. We had a couple additional people join us at the last minute and the restaurant was very accommodating. The food and drinks were outstanding and the service was excellent as well. The Black Sea bass and chicken for two were favorites, as were the bread they bring for the table and the mushroom appetizer. We had drinks before dinner in the lobby bar, which has especially nice ambiance. Will definitely be back.
Service was amazing and food was delicious.
Service was fantastic. Food was excellent. Music was great! We had a great experience.
The ambiance is great. Food is a bit over salted.
Phenomenal food. Presentation and taste were exquisite. Highly recommend it. Great date night spot.
We went on a very cold Sunday night of a holiday weekend. Even though it was quite empty, it took about 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order, and I had to stop a waiter who seemed frustrated that I had. Food okay but very overpriced.
Great live band, playing during Saturday and Sunday brunch.
Duck is delicious!
This restaurant is amazing. The food was delicious. The wine was outstanding. The service is the best part. We described to our waiter what we were looking for and he completely helped us figure out what to order. When it came to the wine, the man was completely understanding of our price range and helped us select the perfect dish. My cousin and I left there completely satisfied and will definitely be returning.
Beautiful room, cozy atmosphere, great service, delicious food. The only negative was a lack of a vegetarian option for a main course.
Great experience this evening. We had tried for Carbone after the nets game but they were fully booked. Dirty French was our second option and was phenomenal. We had the tuna tartare, and grilled oysters to start, and then had the Black Sea bass for meal. Incredible. Server and hosts were great, and even though the restaurant started closing, they were kind enough to allow us to finish our beverages and also invited us to continue in the lounge area. Great time. Will definitely be back.
Great food and great service. Only issue is that it is too cramped. They fit too many two person tables in such a small area. I literally backed out of my seat and backed into someone that was seated at a close table behind me.
Live music was great but hard to catch up with friends, hard to hear.
We waited over an hour to sit after 945pm reservations
