Cutting edge vegetables with added flavor and no politics in this sleek and stylish restaurant showcasing colorful, pop-tastic dishes from award-winning chef, Amanda Cohen. A full bar, counter seating, a wine list curated by wine director, Ben Eyring, and vegetables in all their earth-shattering, gob-smacking glory. Diners coming for dinner will have a choice of The Vegetable Patch ($65, tip included) featuring five courses of Dirt Candy’s greatest hits, or they can take a trip to The Vegetable Garden ($99, tip included) which is at least nine courses and changes according to the season, what we’re experimenting with, and what our foragers and farmers bring to our door. Dirt Candy offers an a la carte menu at the bar only.

What an amazing 9 course + feast. Our party luv'd each course which was expertly presented by servers who had passion about their wildly inventive vegan cuisine.

We are vegetarians and love tasting menus. This was the best one we have ever been to. A few rogue dishes in there but we had an amazing time.

44 year vegetarian and this is still the best veggie restaurant I've experienced anywhere in the world. It continues to get better and better with innovative and fun food. Just exceptional service too. Been going since it first opened in its original location and so happy to see it continue to thrive in the competitive NYC restaurant scene.

Amazing. Pure alchemy, and worth every penny. Everything is so incredibly delicious and the restaurant is so wonderful about accommodating dietary restrictions (you must inform them in advance). My friend is vegan and I am allergic to soy and they accommodated every course tailored to our needs. Their cocktails are also a must!

Such complex, creative, and surprising offerings at this restaurant - a rarity for vegetarians! Several times during the night, my friend and I just sat there quietly, trying to mentally process what we were experiencing. We had the 5 course meal, but I hope to come back sometime for the 10 course dinner. So worth it!!!

The meal was absolutely delicious. We did the Vegetable Patch (5 courses) with the wine pairing. It was a great variety of food, we were quite full afterwards, and the wine pairing was fantastic. We also really appreciated the great service from the staff.

first timer to dirt candy.
not a vegetarian but appreciate + recognize good, well executed food.
glad to have had the pleasure + experience but will not rush back as nothing was particularly outstanding.
it may not seem like it at first - you do get a lot of food so pace yourself!

An extraordinary dinning experience. Exquisite food. A foodie must! We opted for the 10 course Tasting Menu. Each course got more complex with flavors, textures, vegetable combinations, sauces & presentations.
Service is well paced attentive and informative; they explain each course.
Favorites included the Tower, the duo salad course, the crunchy broccoli, the portobello mousse, the mini tangine. The palate cleansing beet ribbon in lemon was so
imaginative and really worked. Fortunately dessert was petit as we were getting pretty full.
Next time we will try the 5 course Tasting menu. I think one can also eat at the high table facing the kitchen & just get one or two items. Try the broccoli/ cauliflower “tacos”.
Dishes change with the seasons.

The food was delicious, and the bartender recommended an amazing bottle of wine for us. Service was good. Noise was loud, but I guess that’s a Friday night in New York.

The food was amazing, however their wine pairing was not. The wines were not very good in general and added nothing to the courses.
I would recommend sticking to cocktails or water

It is not an exaggeration to describe our meal as one of the best in our lives. The presentation of each dish was gorgeous. The tastes and textures were so much better than a typical meal. There is ample time between each of the multiple courses to digest. The creativity of each dish is astounding. The people were attentive, kind, patient, well-informed.

I don’t think I would ever go here again for dinner. I find that the value of the very expensive tasting menu is not worth it. The production of the service creates the illusion of innovation and feeling fancy but the food itself was just OK even though the ingredients were interesting and sometimes exotic.

Currently serving winter menu, which is just as amazing as the summer menu. Do yourself a favor, find a way to have dinner here. Seriously.
