Great food, beautiful setting and good service but the food delivery was slow.
One of our favorites. Always a great time. A bit pricey but worth the treat!!
seated outdoor (COVID time)... enjoy the nice ambience, next to the fountain and nice hotel structure. The Tomahawk and lamb chop felt a bit overcooked, especially outside were too charred, probably due to their cooking technique in using mesquite wood smoking... it adds extra layer of taste but the charred layer was a bit too thick so at times, too bitter / smoky (& likely not healthy). Everyone loves the pita.... octopus, sea bass, riblets, etc. were all tasty and nice. Could have more varieties as we have been at the restaurant 3 times and limited alternatives (maybe, it's due to covid). One of the best around Los Gatos / Saratoga area.
AMAZING ALWAYS .
THE BRANZINO is amazing also the TZATZIKI is absolutely the best !
Everything amazing.. I LOVE THE STAFF ESPECIALLY MY BARTENDER RUDY HE WORKS SO HARD AND IHAS AN AMAZING PERSONALITY .
We began our visit with martinis at the Bar, which was a great start. Reuban was a congenial and experienced host. We were welcomed to our table by Athos, who was Greek by birth. My wife ordered the Mousaka, and I had the fish, which was imported from Greece. We followed up by ordering Retsina, which immediately made us good friends with Athos. We both considered our meals and the service as excellent.
Overall, a most enjoyable evening !
Our Server, Alicia was amazing! Made our evening very special, thank you so much.
Lamb chops were average, the chops at Opa are better imho.
Definitely the place to go in Los Gatos for great food, vibe and energy! The only downside is the prices of the steaks which have sort of gone through the roof.
While the service was attentive and the food came out quickly, the food was just OK for the quality I expected and in particular my lamb chops and potatoes were room temperature at best. They still tasted good but I expected more. My octopus was also not quite cooked right and not hot.
The drinks were good and the wine list extensive.
Make sure to order the Greek donuts for dessert. Best thing.
Outstanding service and amazing food
Amazing ambience and feel of the place. Good food. Wasn't a big fan of the best salad. All the spread of dips were amazing. And entree as well.
Always a fantastic meal! Service and food were outstanding, however, would have liked the tables to be spaced out a bit more within the restaurant.
Restaurant building is across open breeze way from Hotel/Restrooms. It was a very cold & windy night. Constantly (i mean every minute) we were disturbed by very cold air of the doors being fully open whenever a waiter or guest would come into or leave the restaurant. For a Michelin star Restaurant , this is UNACCEPTABLE. There are very tasteful door coverings that can prevent this. The discomfort of the cold wind really overshadowed the dinner.
Absolutely fabulous! This was our first time and were blown away by the food and service.
This Greek restaurant used to have great food. We came here for the first time after the pandemic. I was underwhelmed. The octopus was mediocre, with a fishy and chewy taste. The scallops were ok I guess but nothing special. Moussaka was fine. The two desserts were not good, galaktoboureko and ekmek. They must have used some heavy oil on the first one, or some lower quality butter, it tasted bad. The ekmek was mostly whipped cream with a tiny bit of kataifi.
The service was great. We ate everything because we were hungry, but I can’t say we enjoyed it like we used to.
Delicious food, but very expensive
Wonderful establishment, great folks, great food, and great service, especially Emily at the hostess desk, she is extremely helpful if calling in with questions, or in-person.
We had a lovely dinner. Service was perfect. Food was delicious, especially the moussaka. We had a perfect quiet table off to the side, restaurant not very crowded at 6:00, but completely packed and somewhat noisy when we left an hour and a half later. Still, we had a great evening.
Our Anniversary dinner was memorable!
Tony took very good care of us.
Went early so wasn’t noisy. Service very good but we said we would share entree and waitperson assumed that meant split. We were not asked if we wanted it split and there was extra charge. Also did not know cost of the dessert and assumed it was our birthday dessert but the cost was $18.00 which seems pricey for small cake.
Overall was a great evening but wait person should be more forthcoming.
Very nice place. Fantastic service but expensive.
As always, the food at Dio Deka was great! Love their yogurt and pita bread!
Very nice evening. Our sever Tony did an amazing job as always. Prices are getting a little carried away. Very expensive dinner.
Excellent food and service every time.
Excellent Greek cuisine with a nice wine selection and superb service. Never a disappointment!
Family get together over Thanksgiving holiday. Service, food and atmosphere could not have been better. Always a reliably great experience dining at Dio Deka. We are lucky to have it in our town.
Always a fabulous dinner and service . I personally enjoy sitting at the Bar and visiting Ruben the bartender .
Always excellent. Outdoor dining is amazing.
We have been always had excellent food and service at Dio Deko but last night was not the same. We were seated promptly but after 10 minutes of not being acknowledged my husband flagged down a bus boy ( who was great by the way all evening) and asked who our waiter was and he proceeded to try and find out. About 5 minutes later a very friendly man with an Italian accent came to the table to apologize for not being their sooner. We were concerned because every time he spoke to us just a few inches from our faces he completely removed his mask from his face which none of the other waiters were doing. He uncorked our wine and took our cocktail order and then returned to take our food order. We ordered two lamb chop dinners and one branzini. The branzini was fabulous as were the salads we had but both the lamb chops dinner were so tough we could not cut them with a sharp knife. I have never experienced that quality of meat before at your restaurant. We were able to cut off two pieces of each lamb chop and left the rest. We also ordered a side of seasonal vegetables and mushrooms which showed up about 10 minutes after our meals with apologies from the waiter. We told the waiter the meat was so tough we could hardly eat it and he said he would tell the kitchen. It wasn’t the waiter’s fault or the cook’s fault it was the cut of meat. The experience last night was so contrary to all the other times we have been to the restaurant I thought it was important to mention it. If it was my first time dining at Dio Deko I would not be coming back.
For my wife
The waiter was incredibly attentive and on the money
Thank you for a great dinner.
Dinner for my mother’s birthday was exceptional as always. Tony is the best and took very good care of us. The lamb shank and salmon were wonderful, as were the riblets- perfect evening.
The food is always delicious. One of our favorite places to for special occasion dinners. It’s a classy place with impeccable service & delicious selection of fish & steaks. Also serves Greek specialists. Is on our permanent list of dining locations in Los Gatos.
We appreciate that Dio Deka has outdoor dining. The food was outstanding.
The food was no show after one hour. They forgot about us and when we complain they brought cold hard steak. Very disappointing
