Located just a few meters from the Duomo in Florence, Regina Bistecca is a restaurant dedicated to the true “bistecca alla fiorentina” and traditional Florentine food culture.
For over 140 years the same address has been the location for the antiquarian bookseller Gonnelli, which has been in the same family for four generations and has now relocated.
Although nowadays offering something different, the objective was to preserve and maintain the unique atmosphere of a historical place in which to offer a gratifying experience merging food, art, and history.

Great views. Food was a little disappointing. Especially portion size for the price. You’re definitely paying for the view and atmosphere. Great spot for a drink and snack but not for dinner

The Michelin starred restaurant Il Palagio, nestled within the Four Seasons Hotel Florence, offers an impeccable service together with a refined and elegant ambient.
Il Palagio is open Tuesday to Saturday from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm. Outdoor service is available only during summer time, weather permitting. Kindly note that the tasting menus are served for the whole table and are available until 9.30.
Executive Chef Paolo Lavezzini will arouse your curiosity with contemporary dishes filled with playful surprises, tinting your senses with flavours, perfumes and consistencies. The most genuine seasonal ingredients are served, all of them from Tuscany and the Tyrrhenian sea, and some directly from the Gherardesca Garden. Quiet elegant dining room with excellent service and cuisine. I would book again when in Florence. Outside construction does not diminish the elegance inside the dining room.

We didn’t have huge expectations given this restaurant’s location near the Duomo, but it was excellent. Wonderful food, great service, neat decor. Highly recommend.

Service and ambience were great. Food was average. The Carbonara tasted very eggy. For being in Italy is was not nice at all. I had a chicken dish which was just ok on flavour.

The Palazzo Della Gherardesca was unusual for its time in that its main interior space, the atrium, was originally designed as a secondary courtyard. Now covered with a glass roof, like the courtyard Lobby, the Hotel’s Atrium Bar occupies a vast sun-lit and decorative space, serving lunch, dinner, and the typical Italian aperitif, afternoon tea, desserts, coffee and cocktails. It offers a selection of delicious and out-of-the ordinary drinks, from the Valentino, our take on the classic Negroni, to the latest cocktails and preparations on the list. In the evenings, live piano music creates a relaxed, informal atmosphere that extends outdoors onto the terrace during the balmy summer months.
