Don’s Favorite Foods is a prix-fixe restaurant created by husband and wife team Chef Don Salamone and Kate Laurents in partnership with Sommelier Adam Galbraith.
We also offer cocktails courtesy of Jeffrey Morgenthaler and Benjamin "Banjo" Amberg.

Our Italian and French-influenced menu changes monthly and highlights dishes Don grew up with as well as those he mastered though his experiences working at Michelin-starred restaurants all over the country.

From Don: At Don’s, you may find gnocchi like my Ma used to make or Italian sausage modeled after my Godfather’s, Oreste “Ernie” Capone. You might also find scallops still in their shells, Oregon pork in the style of Braciole, and popovers I learned to make from my mother-in-law, Terry, because the Laurents family makes those every Christmas morning... beef tartare, sea urchin, caviar, etc too. These things are all my favorites.

Great neighborhood spot - worth the drive. My 3rd or 4th time here over the years; party of 4 and we really enjoyed their menu! The Burrata was fabulous, Meatballs heavy spiced and satisfying; 2 of our party ordered the Eggplant Manicotti and loved it. Our server was able to find wines by the glass based on our preferences, which we paired with their Warm Olives and Focaccia; so tasty.

A visit to the Clockwork Rose is an experience not to be missed, and to be repeated frequently. We have had their High Tea experience a number of times, including themed experiences such as their Hogwarts tea. Every time the server has been very nice and quite knowledgeable about the many different teas they offer. The food is always superb. One should take time to explore the décor, whether for a themed experience or not. It is an eclectic mix of Victorian, Steampunk, and antique tea house. The decoration for the themed experiences turns the décor up to 11 with an astounding sense of detail. We would return weekly, except that then it would no longer be special. Instead, we try to go once a quarter. It is fun, relaxing, and pure enjoyment.

Food was absolutely delicious. So were the drinks. My only recommendation to others would be to only order food when you are ready to eat, not all at once. The food came out SOO fast! Definitely not a con, we just weren't prepared for it to come out so quickly but certainly a pleasant surprise.

We visited Brooklyn Trattoria for the first time for our 10th wedding anniversary on a Saturday night. We were seated in a private booth which was very comfortable, we were pleasantly surprised by an anniversary card left on our table by the restaurant (nice touch). I ordered the Italian red wine blend, which was delicious. We had the fried calamari appetizer and the wild mushroom ravioli and halibut for our entrees. We were also delighted to be served a complimentary chocolate mousse for dessert. All of the food was delicious, and our server was very attentive. The only downside was sitting directly across from the kitchen and next to a server station which made it a bit noisy at times. Otherwise, we had a wonderful night out and will be back!

Highly recommended. I have now been to Copper River several times for both lunch and dinner. Attentive and friendly service, great selection of very tasty food, and acoustics where you can actually have a conversation. I had their lunch Steak Salad this time around, and it was delicious. I plan to return in the near future, for sure!
