The Adair Country Inn was built in 1927 and sits on a 200-acre grand estate with views of the surrounding White Mountains. This former private residence offers intimate and casual dining indoors all year, plus patio dining during the summer. Open Wed thru Sun from 5 to 9 pm.

Ember Wood Fired Grill features a locally inspired menu with a casual upscale setting. Our Chef, Christopher Gouzie, best describes our menu as "Globally Inspired". It features familiar dishes with a twist. "We use new and interesting ingredients, and different cooking procedures to introduce our guests to a unique way to present food."

We have taken this same concept for our Specialty Cocktail list. Deviating from the classic recipe with housemade syrups, specialty bitters, and high end liquors and liqueurs.

Always a good meal with great service each time we visit. The chef’s unique menu keep us coming back for more! Highly recommend for a casual dining-out experience in downtown Dover NH. Plus there’s ample parking next-door . each time we visit.

The food was great, service was wonderful. Still the best bread pudding in the world! I liked it better when it was served on a bowl steeped in the caramel sauce but it was wonderful just the same.

Excellent food and service. Spent my wife’s birthday there and all was perfect. The wait staff was amazing and the bartender terrific. On top of that the food was delicious. A great experience and this is one of two go to restaurants that we always enjoy in Portsmouth. Well done!!!
