An "only in Key West" restaurant, The Flaming Buoy Filet Co. is one part retro supper club, one part sassy corner bistro, and one part highly personal whim. Fred Isch, grew up in every geographic segment of the country with a mother who loved cooking and collecting recipes. His husband, Scot Forste, grew up on the farm where his mother, bored of city life, spontaneously relocated to get back to the land, breed horses, and grow fresh, healthy food. Every recipe on the Flaming Buoy menu is an interpretation of something Fred or Scot ate at their respective family tables. Local additions, like seafood, tropical fruits, and Cuban flavors reinterpret the nostalgia, and the result grabbed the attention of the New York Times in 2011.

Key West seafood restaurant in the heart of old town on Petronia. The menu is kept small so that everything is nice and fresh for you. Yellowtail snapper, fish of the day, Key West pink shrimp, and seafood medley highlight the menu.
Deviled Eggs topped with Scallops, Shrimp Mango Toast and Crispy Pork Belly Croustinis tantalize the pallet. Beef stroganoff made with certified black angus beef is a favorite.

Relaxing, unpretentious, and romantic.
Seating is very limited. We offer a 6 pm and an 8 pm seating.
24 Hour Cancellation window.
For the consideration of our guests, we do not accept parties over the size of six (6), without the permission for the owners.

For parties of 6 or more, please call the restaurant to reserve. We are a neighborhood gem. Reservations are highly recommended.

Open daily from 11:00am-10:00pm. We offer Happy Hour seven days a week from 3:00pm-6:00pm featuring half-priced sangria, wine by the glass, draft beer, and select $7 tapa specials. We look forward to welcoming you!

We sat outside and although it was quite warm and humid, as usual at in the keys, our waitress and the rest of the staff made our dinner very enjoyable. It was my wife’s birthday and we really liked the sangria and the food choices. Thank you very much for making her birthday a wonderful dining experience!

Meal overall was good. The bao buns and sushi rolls were a favorite. The ceviche was okay, but missing a hint of salt to balance and bring out the flavors.

Although this is a great steak restaurant, thier fish specials are always wonderful. The red snapper picata was amazing. Mary, our server was a delight. It was my husband's birthday and she made it extra special!

Perfect place to celebrate a birthday! Our waitress, Christina, gave us a wonderful wine recommendation, and her service was impeccable. Our dinner was scrumptious as usual, and we will be back!

Excellent food and service. The cheese board was great. They know how to properly prepare fish here. Grouper was wonderful as was the hogfish. The sides included with both dishes were phenomenal. The ambiance was wonderful. Cozy, intimate and very relaxed. Our server was a delight. We will be back! 5 stars.
