We have been going to Hideout 125 as it is one of our favorite restaurants for years now. This was our first experience at the new location. Our booth was located in the bar area, but back behind the bar so it wasn't appealing to just see the back of the bar and all the bottles, etc. The temperature was uncomfortably warm. We heard other patrons complaining as well. By the time our dinner arrived, we had gotten too warm. We took a few bites then asked our waitress to box the rest to go. Although the new building was aesthetically nice, we prefer the old Hideout better.

Shorty's Steakhouse is a unique dining experience. Established more than 20 years ago, along the historic Randolph Street in downtown Garrett, Indiana. Shorty's Executive Head Chef James Morrow has created & curated our menu over 10 years, carefully straddling the line of fine steakhouse dining, with small-town Indiana fare.

We are located in Garrett, Indiana, 10 minutes from the historic Auburn downtown and the ACD museum. Also, 20 minutes north of Fort Wayne, Indiana, 15 minutes from Kendallville, Indiana and 25 minutes south of Angola, Indiana. We love that we bring all these communities together at Shorty's.

Shorty's is proud to offer bar seating, family room seating and an outdoor patio we completed last year.
We are laid-back and believe our guests' enjoy the incredible service & food without having to "dress-up".
We embrace the great and growing community of Garrett, Indiana and love that we can share amazing cuisine in an unexpected location.

The filet mignon was perfect and matched well with crab cakes. My brother said best baked potato ever. We also loved the French onion soup / upcharge is definitely worth it ! Our server Chloe was awesome. We will definitely come back!!

Paula’s Seafood is our go to for celebrations! While the purpose was asked for the reservation, there was no mention or acknowledgement of it. Typically Paula never disappoints! We enjoyed our dinner with great friends. The restaurant was loud, with an extremely boisterous child, and the service was slower than normal.
