The Prancing Stag is a family-run, award-winning neighbourhood restaurant specialising in modern, seasonal Scottish food, with the restaurant being awarded an AA Rosette award for culinary excellence 2022/2023/2024.

The restaurant is just off of Crow Road beside Jordanhill train station, just three stops from the Exhibition Centre, Events Campus & OVO Hydro. We're also only a short walk from Scotstoun show ground for the Glasgow Warriors Games. So, perfect for all your meals & drinks pre (and/or post) match or concert.

Our front of house staff strive to create a relaxed & friendly atmosphere where you can enjoy a meal with family, friends or colleagues. And, if there's anything we can do to make your experience more enjoyable, please get in touch.

First time eating here- and certainly won’t be the last. Fabulous market menu- great choice and food and service were excellent. Can’t wait to return.

Not trying too hard, not overly complicated, and EXACTLY what you are looking for; our menu is the fox's knees. We have got a great selection of Scottish beers on tap, and have recently created an extensive cocktail menu for you to sip on while you catch up with friends. From the kitchen, you can expect feel good pub dishes with a twist made from fresh, seasonal ingredients – we think yer granny would even approve!

Foxes might not be great at sports (it’s hard when you can’t even wear shoes) but that doesn’t stop us from watching all the big games! We have all Sky Sports & BT channels so can show everything from the Scottish Premiership & International Football to the Grand National and Wimbledon. Swing by, pull up a pew and catch all of the action.

Meeting relatives visiting from USA, chose the Smokin Fox after it was voted best pub in the Sunday Mail awards 2024. A well-deserved award! Service was from friendly and attentive team-members, who were there when we needed them and unobtrusive when we didn’t. Food quality and quantity was excellent - we all ate from the brunch menu; full Scottish and full Vegetarian were tasty, varied and filling. Avocado on toast and Scottish salmon were nicely sized portions and our guests said they were delicious too. Drinks included their own IPA - a delightfully fruity and quaffable beer! Overall, value was fab. Thanks for making our family reunion a pleasant experience, Smokin Fox folks…We’ll be back!
