Visited early evening, only one other diner at that time. Food was served in an appropriate time and was hot. They was happy to change mash for chips and potatoes instead. We had the pie which was homemade and full of meat with delicious pastry.

Food was delicious, the only thing that let it down was the seafood linguine. There wasn’t much seafood considering there was an £8 supplement. Plus it was flavourless. Such a shame as the rest of the meal was delicious.

Tricky's Restaurant and Bar is a great place to dine. Our large restaurant offers cosy corners for intimate diners as well as space to accommodate large parties. This is my favourite place in St Ives for Sunday lunch. I was highly delighted with my lunch. I chosel the beef. The Yorkshire pudding was enormous. Lovely selection of veg including cauliflower/broccoli cheese. Roast potatoes were very crispy and there was also mashed potato. All staff are extremely friendly efficient and helpful. As a solo diner, I’m always concerned about where I sit but the staff here are always accommodating. I can’t wait to come again when I’m next in St Ives. I also dined here for breakfast as i was a resident on the site. I chose to dine outside on the terrace as it was a beautiful morning. Wide range of options. Highly recommended. The view from this restaurant looking out over the sea and towards the chapel on the island is outstanding.

Beautiful clean and welcoming proper pub. Staff friendly and food service swift and efficient. Food was lovely, and well priced. Good portions, fresh, and some classic items on menu plus some more interesting dishes.
