Highbourne is an incredibly special place, and we were fortunate enough to eat at the beautiful Xuma restaurant today, perched on a hill and overlooking some of the most beautiful water in the Exumas. We are staying on a small trawler nearby, and were able to park at Highbourne’s dinghy dock and enjoy lunch with two fellow cruisers. It was an outstanding experience from start to finish, and Lloyd did an exceptional job. He was attentive and professional, and so kind and personable. Our food was delicious - we shared the artichoke dip that didn’t last long (SO good!!), and I had the Mahi tacos with a side of these amazing fried grits I wish I could adequately describe! I recommend ordering them for the table because there are 4 ample-sized grit cakes, or you could understandably decide to keep them all for yourself and save some for later. Yes, they are THAT good. It’s our last day in the Exumas, and this was the perfect exclamation point on a fantastic trip. Thank you to all the staff at Xuma restaurant for such a lovely experience.

Very nice Resturant. Family owned and one of the original Greek restaurants on the island. Sister Resturant to Athena in downtown. The daughter opened this Resturant with her sister after the father passed and they have done a great job. Staff was well trained and attentive and friendly. Food was well done. I have the chicken souvlaki and it was very well done but maybe a tad over spiced. Jasmine rice was excellent. Appetizer was pita with three spreads which all was delicious. Overall this is a A rated resturant and recommended for a date, family dinner or business. Well done.

Alessandro was a phenomenal waiter. Friendly, knowledgeable, professional. He gave my husband and I a very memorable experience. The chef was outstanding! The risotto was the best we have ever had, next to Vercelli, Piemonte, Italia. Absolutely divine. We cannot wait to come back!
