Found this restaurant on Trip advisor with over 1800 5* reviews and thought I would take my wife here for our anniversary. It was perfect. The service was outstanding and food even better. Very good value for money. We had the 4 course offer for 2 @£76 which was lovely. Cocktails were very good. Highly recommend to anyone.

Chez Dominique is a family run restaurant serving French and European food.
We are located on the beautiful Argyle Street just over Pulteney Bridge and our smaller dining room, which can also be booked for private dining, overlooks Pulteney Weir.
We have a carefully chosen wine list and an interesting selection of drinks.
Bookings of 5-6 will be seated either in our Main Restaurant or Private Dining Room. Bookings of 7-8 will be seated in the Private Dining Room.

Seven courses, and almost every course had a pleasant surprise. Something that I had not tasted before (and I am a foodie who have traveled to many countries). The staff was friendly and engaging, as if we were guests in their home and the restaurant, although small, had an old world feel with upbeat 80s hip hop music playing in the background (go figure!). Excellent evening!

We are not a ‘fancy pants’ establishment. Not in the least. We offer good quality, home-cooked, locally sourced (where possible) food. 90% of our menu is made on the premises. Certainly not ‘Pub Grub’ but not ‘Gastro Pub’ either. It’s good value for money. However, our standards are high, very high. Not only in the quality of the food that comes into and leaves the kitchen but also in the presentation, the delivery to the table and overall customer service. We’re definitely not ‘Silver Service’ either but all of our staff are attentive, smartly dressed and will always go that extra mile wherever they can. These are just some of the reasons we were awarded the Taste of the West GOLD award in 2019.
We are a dog friendly establishment, very dog friendly. However, please tell us at the time of booking so that we can place you in our Bar area , as opposed to our Restaurant.

So glad we opted for this restaurant rather than one of the other Italians in Bath. A very relaxed, intimate & friendly restaurant. The staff were really attentive and responded to it being my birthday…with a candle in sone ice cream & some limoncello to finish! The food was full of flavour and generous in its portion. A great spot for our first night in Bath.

Upstairs at Landrace is a casual neighbourhood bar & bistro, our food is led by ingredients which are carefully sourced from local farms and market gardens, we work with producers who have a natural approach to growing and use regenerative, high welfare farming techniques. The menu regularly features handmade pasta, line-caught Cornish fish and meat from Haye Farm in Devon, and Huntsham Farm in Herefordshire.

My second trip this month as the first was so good. These guys are really clever with amazing flavour and texture combos with beautiful and unusual ingredients. Lovely wines and beers, with helpful advice to navigate the options. Feels like being in Paris sitting with a view of Bath’s architecture. Also particularly enjoyed the loo! Will come back for sure 😀

1st visit and was impressed with the decor and look of the bar and restaurant. Quickly seated at our table and drink order taken. The menu has a great choice for starters, mains and dessert. I had the hake which was beautifully cooked and my husband had a chicken massa man. We shared a sticky toffee pudding which was heaven. We will definitely come back. Staff are all excellent.
