One of our favorite restaurants in Austin - beautiful and intimate setting, incredibly delicious and gorgeously plated food, it’s 100% vegan, and our server Mary was absolutely amazing! We even got a complimentary anniversary toast. Perfect place for a special night!!

Join us for a Special Steak Dinner Experience featuring a locally grown Steak, butchered and aged in house. Steaks will be selected by our team prior to your experience based on your party size and our current inventory. Steaks are $60 per pound and on average are 2.5-3.5 pounds each. Guests will be offered a tour of the BBQ pit to watch their steak be smoked and then grilled to the temperature they desire and served family style. Our servers can customize your experience at the time of your arrival with appetizers, BBQ meats, sides, dinner menu entrees, and desserts for an additional cost based on availability.

Wines by the glass, Special Wine Bottles, Local Beers and Cocktails can be ordered at the bar or from your server and are priced on the menu accordingly. We do NOT allow BYOB of any kind.

An exceptional experience. Being able to start your meal with some of the best bbq in the world followed by a in-house butchered steak hand selected for your group is truly unique. The sides are of the highest quality and beautifully presented. The staff only add to the experience with great service, answering questions, the pit tour and table side carving. Great value for money.

Located in the heart of the the Most Beautiful Square in Texas, City Post Chophouse began its story as a post office in the 1930s, during the Great Depression and Prohibition. Nearly a century later, the beautifully renovated historic building now offers an elevated dining experience, live music and private events.

Executive Chef Adrian Corkill has curated a stand-out menu, featuring fine cuts and chops of beef, lamb, and pork, as well as fresh seafood and decadent side dishes served family style, along with unique handcrafted cocktails. Accommodations for vegetarian, pescatarian, and gluten-free diets are readily available. Our wine selection includes something for everyone, with a variety of by-the-glass options.

Reservations can be made for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch in our main dining room, where “Texas formal” attire is appropriate. Walk-ins are welcome in our oyster bar, where our full menu is available with a more relaxed dress code.

Food and service here are always great! The ambience is luxurious and staff are very respectful. Prices are a bit high but the quality of the seafood makes it worth the money you spend.
