A must-do every time we visit Alaska for yearly salmon fishing trip. Never disappoints. Will be back next month. My favorite is still the black cod. Delicious! Highly recommended.

What a fantastic discovery! From the outside, you might not realize the culinary treasure that awaits within the Ginger restaurant in Anchorage, but stepping through that front door instantly reveals a true gem. We were met with such a warm greeting from the moment we arrived. Our waitress was absolutely incredible; we asked for her recommendations and even trusted her to choose the appetizers for our party of six. She made excellent choices that everyone thoroughly enjoyed! For my main course, the duck was deliciously prepared, and her suggestion of their homemade ginger ale was fabulous – a must-try. As we savored our meal, we all agreed without hesitation that we would definitely come back again. Ginger is truly a wonderful, hidden neighborhood gem that exceeded all expectations. Highly recommend!

We have a hardwood oven for great appetizers and flatbreads while fresh Alaskan seafood and produce arrive daily. Be sure to check out our daily specials highlighting Chef Travis' creative inspirations. And of course, make sure to save room for our fantastic home-made desserts. We are proud recipients of the "Wine Spectators" Award of excellence 28 years in a row and feature a 250+ bottle wine list. Our speciality, though, is our hospitality. We had the halibut and bacon burger and they were both phenomenal. There was live piano player and it was the perfect setting. This was recommended by friends and it did not disappoint. We will definitely be back.
