Terrible service, we waited 30 minutes before getting appetizers. Why does it take 30 minutes for guacamole and some queso fundido to come out? As soon as the appetizers came out, we were rushed to finish it so the entrees could be given. The waitress was reluctant to give any water refills and when I finally asked for a refill, it felt like I was made to feel guilty.
The food was bland. The rice in my burrito was old and crunchy.
Ran out of the appetizer we wanted and ran out of the dessert we wanted. It wasn’t even 8:30pm on a Friday and they were out of food
Our waitress Precious was awesome!!!
The food is delicious, the service was great and everyone was so friendly. The chips are to die for- they are like homemade Doritos! Definitely check this place out.
This place was horrible!!! Worst service I’ve ever experienced and the food was dry, over cooked and tasteless. How this place has more then 1 star is beyond me.
Excellent and friendly service. Very casual, relaxed atmosphere.
Diegos used to be one of our favorite places to go however it has become bland. Service was wonderful. Menu needs an update though.
The beef brisket tacos are amazing. Good beer selection and cocktails.
Tasty burger, good guacamole, GREAT drinks!!!!!!!!!
We had a lovely experience with both the service and food. The Queso Fundido was delicious along with the enchiladas👌🏻
The service we had was wonderful, always checking to fill our water or chip bowl. It was a memorable experience and I have already recommended it to a neighbor.
Their tacos are great but everything is extra - Guac, pico, cheese, crema, even lettuce. The base cost gets you the tortillas, meat and a lime on the plate. Best bet is to enjoy them during the lunch special hrs when you can at least get a soft drink with them for $10 (everything else still extra).
Best margarita ever! Shrimp tacos were perfect. Chips n salsa authentic. Chicken taco woohooo. Quac fresh and delish! Will go again and again and again
We waited an hour for our food as the kitchen/waitstaff misplaced our order. When our food did arrive, the chicken in the burrito was gross. It seemed as through it were cooked in a rush to make up for mistake. Chicken was chewy and dry. We had been to this restaurant once before and enjoyed it but after our most recent visit it is doubtful we will be returning anytime soon.
Great margaritas! Mixed reviews from the group on food but I would go back and try something different. Had a blast on a relatively busy Saturday night.
We frequently go out in Media and decided to try a different Mexican restaurant from our usual, which led us to Diego's. I had been once before for a happy hour and thought the drinks were good so we wanted to check out the food. Bad choice. Guacamole did not taste fresh or made in-house. Margaritas were extremely acidic, almost to the point of being completely unenjoyable. Tacos arrived in reasonable time, but meat was cold and dry. The only redeeming quality of the evening was the service, which was prompt and friendly. Overall, we paid way too much money for mediocre drinks and food.
Excellent service from our young server, who was on her own as hostess, bartender and server. She was unflappable. Very pleased with good Mexican food, nice beer selection & margaritas.
The food was excellent. We met the new head chef, and talked about some of the changes made to the menu. Really nice guy and great at his job.
A disappointing experience. Amazing that with all the authentic Mexican talent pool in this area, a Mexican restaurant could be so non-authentic.
I just went and celebrated my 26th birthday it was great with friends and family. The food was great service was on point. Drinks were also really good.
Made an online reservation for NYE. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Fresh Margarita was outstanding, ingredients were fresh. Gauc was fantastic, and came to the table quickly. Our entrees were also very delicious, maybe not my favorite mexican restaurant, but we definitely will be returning! Thank you for a great evening!
Jalapeño margaritas were solid, and I enjoyed the pork empanadas.
We have been to Diego's a few times but this last time was very disappointing. The server completely forgot about us and after 40 minutes waiting for our order to arrive, she came to us and apologized not only for forgetting us but that what I ordered was unavailable. There was no offer for a discount after this and we felt profoundly disappointed with our evening. It will be a very long time before we even consider coming back.
The food was all very bland. Tried the rice pudding for dessert... it was more like crunchy rice soup. The pudding was watery and the rice was crunchy (undercooked rather than al dente). We did not finish any food that we ordered.
Service was slow. They forgot my date's order. Drinks were way too expensive. Food was so-so at best.
Zero Stars. So much terrible stuff I can't even fit it all. Took over half an hour to put in our food order, we were left dry on beverages most of the night as well. By the time we got our food we had been sitting with nothing but an empty bowl of what had been overcooked chips for an hour. Tabletops - both ours and the couple next to us - were barely attached to the base so we couldn't cut our meat. The food was terrible, couldn't even tell if the ingredients were fresh or not due to the unappetizing sauce. You had to pay separately for each ingredient and then they forgot three of six on mine. My friend only ordered one filling and they skipped it! Waiter kept apologizing but didn't really have a clue or seem to care. Other people in the the same part of the restaurant made scenes about not getting their checks as well. The hostess had to get checks and being us our food. It was about as busy as one would expect for a Friday night. Nothing unusual. Will not be back.
I enjoyed the fresh guac and cilantro on tacos. The queso fundido was a big serving, but just a blob of chewy cheese on sauteed peppers.
Once we got waited on( the waiter apogized for the wait), the food was awesome. Definitely go back.
Good food and Margaritas. We had chicken fajitas, smoked brisket quesadilla and taqueria al pastor quesadilla, all great. Pleasantly, not as loud as expected. Will definitely return.
Food was good and service was quick.
Service was good but Meal was just ok. Restaurant was also noisy
It took about 40 min to get our food, I swear another waitress took our order that's why we had to wait so long. We got our tacos and it was cold! Then our fajitas our came out i got chicken and my got steak...the meat was burned and WAY overcooked. And my rice was cold!! Horrible experience ..never again
Our new fvorite Mexican restaurant. The food, service and atmosphere were perfect.
My mom and I went to Diego's while she was in town visiting. As we were waiting to be sat (the host was seating another family), we were just chatting and taking in the scene. But, I was pleasantly surprised when a server came up to let us know the host would be back any minute to seat us. Not everyone would do that- in fact in many other establishments the servers just breeze on by, they aren't the host after all. So, bonus points to that server!
We were sat in the back, by the back door and were greeted by one guy (maybe not a server, but a helper?) he brought the chip and waters. Super friendly! Then the server came out and she was super friendly and was took our orders (that had a bunch of switches and swaps) with a smile and didn't seem fazed!
There was a slight mix up when the food was brought out- essentially 2 meals that were identical, but one had onions one didn't- and the guy who brought them out didn't realize they were different. But, after we figured it out- No biggie- both he and the server came over to apologize again for the mix up (totally not needed, it worked out in the end).
The food was really good , the staff was excellent ... i just moved to the area in August, and I think I found a new favorite spot! I can't wait to go back.
Limited menu did offer a few tasty dishes. Margaritas were a bit too sugary. Good Happy hour
Salmon was excellent. So was the tres leche dessert. Service was quick and friendly.
Un-creative dishes with poor quality ingredients. Will not be coming back.
I read good reviews before I went to this place so I was expecting a good experience. Not at all. We ordered nachos and it seemed like they threw a bag of lettuce on top. Not appetizing at all. The chicken even looked boiled with no seasoning and the chips were really greasy. I have to say the dinner we ordered (chicken & cheese quesadilla and southwest burger) was much better. Our waitress kept coming over asking for our empty glasses because they were short on glasses. We even had a chipped glass at one point. The margaritas were tasty, but def overpriced.
Good margaritas, mediocre food, unfriendly hostess (but good waitress)
Last minute reservation on Valentine's Day at 4:30 PM. Had heard good things about it as a friend bartended there. Walked in the restaurant was empty and we were seated at the very front of the restaurant. This is a small place and the entire front of the establishment is closed off from the outside by an all glass garage door. I understand why.. so when it is nice, they can open it up, but this is February and it was cold. We never took our coats off, we were freezing and again the whole restaurant was empty. My mistake was not asking to be moved - I realize that. I ordered a margarita (delicious) and we ordered nachos (also delicious). My husband and I each ordered a burrito ranchero style (topped with cheese, pico, etc) and they came to us with nothing on top. The burritos were not good at all and for some reason they were cut in half. Needless to say we were in and out of the place in 30 minutes. At one point the waitress even asked us if we were cold. I would try this place again in warmer weather but just for drinks and apps.
The food was good, though the selection seemed somewhat limited compared to other Mexican restaurants. Guacamole passes the test, but could be a little spicier. Margaritas pass the test, too (real lime juice is required) but could be less sweet. Fajitas were good. The steak could have tasted more grilled (i.e. smoky). The service was excellent!
