Great service always enjoy coming here love the food and best part is the treatment...
Always a fun time! If you have a sense of humor and thick skin you will not be disappointed.
Sat at our table for 20 minutes without any drinks or food being ordered. Never had one waiter or waitress stop at the table so we walked out and went elsewhere.
I would recommend Dick’s last resort for the service and the laughs but not for the food. The food was not seasoned very well and my friend’s food was burnt. Our waiter was hilarious and loved his job!
It’s filthy!!! The new spot on the riverwalk feels soooo much smaller. First time I’ve EVER had to pay for water in the states. Yes it’s bottled but I’ve never in a sit down restaurant. Stefanie gave as good as our family gave, yet eating utensils should never have to be demanded. If I wanted to eat with my hands I’d go to midevil times. The new restaurant is not handicap friendly and if you have to go to the bathroom you have to go upstairs to use it. We go to Dicks Last resort every time but I won’t go back to this one.
We have been here before and knew what to expect but this time was different. It started with the hostess dropping five or six “F” bombs when we were trying to decide if we wanted to sit inside or out. We decided to go upstairs and eat. It was 8:00pm on a Friday night and all they had left on the menu was catfish (not good and tasted like rubber) and ribs. The ribs were pretty good. They ran out of everything else. Also the waiters and waitresses had both worked double shifts and all they talked about to each other was how tired they were and that they didn’t want to be there to clean up at closing. They ended up spending the last 30 mins trying to talk one of the bus boys into cleaning up all the paper off the floor for $20. Overall it was not a good exprence.
I’ve seen many people go to Dicks and have a great time with lots of laughter from the paper hats. This was my first time going after years of wanting to go and I was highly disappointed. Myself nor my table received any paper hat. So I asked our waiter for them he said he didn’t have time because his shift was ending and had to leave to another job he had. I left very upset, the whole experience of me going was disappointing.
Loud, and a lot going on. Wouldn’t take kids there but it was fun.
Wait time was not long, server was awesome, food was a little dry, price was high as expected, and I definitely will go back next time I'm in the area.
People in the party were not amused....
While I understand the premise of obnoxious wait staff, not receiving what we asked and paid for is totally unacceptable.
I have read some negative comments about this place and had a degree of trepidation in booking this reservation. They absolutely nailed a great idea and concept. If you are supersensitive go somewhere else. The staff were exceptional and the ambience was a lot of fun.
This was exactly as we expected. Food was pretty average, service was intentionally rude but really funny.
It was what we expected! Enjoyed the food, drink and banter
Great place to go. Just be prepared to be yelled at and insulted. That's the Dick's experience.
Our waiter was nice, but all of the staff seemed like they were tired of playing their roles. He forgot our drinks a few times. Also, my daughter was supposed to get corn tortillas because she is allergic to wheat. They seemed like flour. I asked him to double check, he said it was corn, but she got super sick. The food was pretty terrible. I didn't expect a lot, but it was borderline inedible. My kids didn't even eat their meals and they normally love the food they ordered. Such a waste of $200.
Chicken fried steak was way over cooked and the crab legs were not very big. Looked more like over grown crawfish. The food just doesn’t match the the price they charge. Ive has better chicken fried steak at Crackerbarrel. Probably won’t go back when I’m San Antonio.
Amazing experience!! Funny and definitely coming back in hopes we can get the same waitress!!
Travelled from Corpus Christi to try for the first time for my birthday and was definitely worth everything. A lot of good laughs, server was great food was great as well.
I think that it’s a funny, lively environment, and it’s a funny twist on service. Definitely not for everyone, you have to have a good sense of humor and not take anything they say seriously.
Service was great! However the food missed the mark for my party of 3. All in all still a great experience. I would honestly recommend just for the laughs.
Fun time once again. Had some first timers and that is always fun to see.
The environment is upbeat and fun. It's a great place to go.
Went here with a party of 7 after my wedding and it was a great experience! Definitely will be back.
Our experience at Dick's was outstanding. Our server (Mike) Fox was awesome and gave us a great experience, even with our kids. He was sarcastic and hilarious and didn't just go through the motions. It's clear he enjoys his job and really had fun with us. Our food was equally great and I would definitely recommend it for the experience and the value. I will definitely be back next time I am in San Antonio!
had a lot of fun. a good first experience.
Its a thin line between being fun and being down right rude..
Went to Dicks for some birthday bbq and was highly disappointed...it’s been many years since my last visit to dicks but some how the only bbq you can get is either on nachos or a sammich...the brisket lacked flavor and was tough...the staff was great though
The atmosphere is awesome. The food is not good, but the environment makes up for it.
They ere out of seafood !!
If u want to get roasted and have a good sense of humor GO! If you suck at joking and wanted GOOD FOOD DO NOT GO! Its purely for entertainment
It was fun the food was great had a great time the waitress was so funny
Staff was very nice. A unique experience. However open table did not guarantee our reservation so we still had to wait over 40 mins.
Loved it, it was the highlight of my trip as a kid and this was my son's first experience with San Antonio as I had been telling him all about what I remembered when my family brought me.
Drinks were crap, I ordered a mixed drink and it tasted like kool-aid. I asked for an extra shot (that I would pay for) and was denied.
Not what I was expecting, I understand they have to be 'rude' or 'sarcastic' but when I ask or order something I expect to get what I want/need. Not my kind of place. Food was blah and overpriced.
I sat at the bar and had a few drinks and an order of buffalo wings. The bartenders were fun. The wings were cold.
