Important to note that this visit is post-pandemic when restaurant staffing is short in the entire industry. Our server was knowledgeable and pleasant. We had to ask for water and bread and at a restaurant at this level this should be automatic. Service was slow. I attribute this completely to workforce shortages. The food was excellent though the serving sizes are smallish. Even if the high cost items (protein) have to be controlled, cheap starches such as potatoes should compensate. I would never pass on an opportunity to enjoy a fine meal at Devon, and Reader, you shouldn't either.
My wife and I had an enjoyable brunch eating at Devon's. Our server Bridget was very attentive. And our meals were great! We love coming here because of the atmosphere.
I picked this place because it was for my boyfriend's birthday we had to wait for fresh bread to come out by the time we got bread our meal had come out there was no Happy Birthday acknowledgment. My boyfriend was just over the whole thing and wanted to leave.
Food was average. Fried lobster was good but the lobster mac and cheese isn't worth the upcharge. Also, if you want raw oysters, BEWARE, they are small compared to other restaurants.
Food was good. However, I would recommend offering "fresh" blue cheese stuffed olives, rather than the bottled ones for dirty martinis, this can make or break a true dirty martini. Additionally, I would ensure that the trashcan be moved from the area prior to seating patrons for outdoor dinning. Overall, service and food met my expectations.
Devon has become my favorite place to lunch with friends from the city as well as the suburbs. The food and the service are always terrific , and the view out to the Rittenhouse Park is colorful and vibrant, as our neighbors move thru their day.
Plenty of great choices on the menu, no matter what your appetite is !
Great experience. Always wonderful
Food was subpar, we were seated all the way in the back of the restaurant, in may i add was a filthy booth, and felt forgotten. Also, there was a loud and quite obnoxious party seated near us that made our experience all the more unpleasant. I was embarrassed to have brought someone to this establishment and will not be returning.
Amazing food. Our severs was knowledgeable and so helpful! Great experience. Would definitely go back !!
I really enjoyed it, the atmosphere was amazing our waiter Justin gave us amazing service. The food was nothing short of delicious, I recommend any looking for a fine dining experience to check them out.
Food and service was very good.
great food, great service great atmosphere. I have eaten here probably a dozen times, it is always on point
Waitress was inattentive to us as customers and seem to care more about her other tables. We had to ask for our waitress several times. We will be back again . The food was great.
Got charged $51 for 2 King Crab legs - wow! This did not include any sides as my son ordered the lobster dinner then asked for king crabs too
Friday 7/23 was my 2nd visit and the food was delicious!
I enjoyed myself. The food was great and I loved the outdoor seating.
Reservation still required a 15 minute wait before we were seated, one of people doing check in wasn’t all that welcoming. Once seated our table wobbled very badly, no linens on it but there were linens on the outside tables? The waiter ended up propping our table for us, his service was good the food was okay, but i’ve had better food and service in places with much less of a bill. I may try and go again, i wouldn’t say not to go. Maybe it was an off night for them.
Nice place, good food!
Great experience, they just need to season their food.
Nice booth seating. Pleasant service. Excellent tuna.
Fantastic staff and great food! Oysters were amazing. Crab cakes full of meat. Outstanding cocktails! Nice walking neighborhood tooZ.
Go to very few indoor restaurants these days, but Devon made us feel comfortable, the food, as always was wonderful and the service was friendly and helpful.
It was uncomfortable having peddlers approach the table for money while eating. May be a city problem, but I think there should be signs posted no soliciting and managers should tell the peddlers to move along.
It’s was not what I expected from the restaurant. The waiter forgot to put in our appetizer so it came with dinner. They did not have asparagus or spinach ended up being green beans without asking when I have allergies. The food was terrible ended up sending it back. The only thing we enjoyed were the drinks. Bad experience most likely won’t return. Our waiter seemed frazzled and confused when asking simple questions.
Foid was cold and sucked almost as bad as the service
I brought my husband here for his birthday. Thank you for making it a special evening for us both. He loved his dinner. The staff was wonderful and the food was pure, delicious and comforting.
First time together since the pandemic. Devon did not disappoint. Placed by the open window. A little noisy but great for people watching. Food was delicious and service was superb.
Devon's food was tasty. However, the scallops special at $36 should have more than 7 scallops. At least 10 scallops minimum considering the price.
Server forgot we were there. Barely got served on time. Took two hours
Our lunch was disappointing. Our first server was sociable and pleasant but she sat us and started to take our order before she found out she was mistaken to seat us in another server’s station. Our server was curt and not friendly. The lobster roll sandwich lunch was an appetizer size and not much lobster!
Very pricey visit! Will not be revisiting!!
We ordered the tuna and were served Sea Bass.
Our Server was amazing! She is so sweet, our girl group just LOVED her! We would visit again just to hang out with her!
Food was fantastic. Our server was great, he made our evening. Ask for Isaac.
The food here was better than average, but for the price, I expected more lobster on the lobster rolls, more and better bread with the bruschetta, better cooked haricots vert, and cooler white wine. It was a very hot day, and although we asked 3 times if we could move inside, we never hit an answer. To be fair, they were having issues with the air conditioning inside, but we deserved some reply, and even when one of us went inside to ask fir the third time, we were asdured wed be moved, but we were not. So we finally ate what we could, paid our bill ( over $100, for lunch ) , and left.
I don’t know who Joseph is!! I am Delores. Food was delicious and the staff is magnificent!! I love them!!!! My friends and I will be back very soon!!
We came to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday. The service was amazing wish I knew the server name but he was amazing. Most of the food was delish and yes I would go again.
I was a bit disappointed at the Seafood Grille it was a little dry. We have always been satisfied in the past.
It’s was flies , flying over our food. It was a weirdo stink odor smell. Wasn’t please at all..
Our table and menu were both sticky when we sat down, but the waitress cleaned both upon request.
My dinner companions and I all enjoyed fresh fish. Mine was Delicious! I had lobster bisque as an appetizer which was very tasty. My husband had the gumbo and said it was filling. My branzino was served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Nice size portion without the skin. First time I had it served that way.
My husband had striped bass with roasted potatoes and asparagus. He though part of the fish was very salty. My sister in law had salmon with roasted potatoes and asparagus and also said hers was salty.
My fish was delicious but I respect their opinion, so the review I gave is from my perspective.
