    This is a wonderful restaurant and overall I would highly recommend it. My only complaint was that I ordered their chicken dish which was cooked sous vide and should have been nice and moist. The chicken arrived and it was quite dry and when I mentioned it to our waiter, Paul, he just said oh OK and didn’t do much about it. The other dishes that were served were, a wonderful char dish and a pasta Bolognese that were excellent. We also had the duck pate and the French onion soup all of which were at the high standard that we were hoping for.

    Perfect in every way and our server, David? Robert? - sorry can't remember already.....was professional and highly pleasant - we will ask for him upon our return. The fare was quality - not expecting a bargain - and the desserts were a work of art - and best, yummy. Lively with a great vibe throughout, inside and outside. Our GoTo s were Menton (a tad uneven) and then #9 which we thought was always stellar - but everyone knows the sad story there. Deuxave wins by reputation consistently now.

    The atmosphere is nice and quiet. Overall the food was good to fair, however the French Onion Soup (for $29) was not hot, all the dishes were very salty and the Filet/Steak was dry. The duck entree was very good, but again on the salty side. The service was average to fair and the wine list is extremely overpriced. We were there to celebrate two graduations and they did surprise us with two deserts gratis. Overall it was good, but given how pricey the menu is, we expected a higher quality food and service.

    Food was delicious; the restaurant's willingness to accommodate a seating error was extraordinarily poor. My fiance and I booked a celebratory reservation for the tasting menu through OpenTable, electing to eat later than we'd like as it was the only time a standard table was available. We arrived and were seated at a high top, of which there are only 4 and they are shoved between the front door and the bar. It was noisy, and felt like we were at a busy bar - not an upscale experience to suit the expensive meal we had selected. Once I confirmed I had in fact booked a standard table, I asked the hostesses if they could reseat us and was rudely looked up and down and told no. No other options provided. They told us OpenTable indicated we had booked a high top, but my email confirmation from OpenTable said otherwise. Our waiter gave us the option to be seated outside, but it was a 50 degree night. They did provide a free beverage, but it did not make up for the fact we ate our pricey anniversary dinner in a bar atmosphere. Our waiter did the best he could to make our experience positive. The food was outstanding. Had we been seated in the dining room as we had reserved I'm sure it would have been one of the most excellent dining experiences we've had. But we are unfortunately completely soured on our night at Deuxave due to the lack of accommodation for their error, and will not be returning.

I am grateful that the kitchen team was able to showcase their talent with the food that evening but am disappointed to learn that we could not make up for your seating arrangement. It is the truth that this previous Saturday was our busiest service since Valentine's Day, and we had virtually no 'wiggle room' to make changes. I know that Trevor tried is best, but I understand there's no clear subsitute for ambiance. It would make me enormously happy to be able to host you again for a formal table in the main dining room and getting it pefect the second chance.     This was the most disappointing dining experience in a very long time. This is definitely not French inspired but more American-esque. We waited a long time for our glass of wine to start. The amuse bouche we received was a croquette that was cold, when it should have been warm at the very least. When the bread course with a single brioche was served, we ate it and the plates were swiftly taken away. We were not even asked if we wanted another one (I asked the server later on for another one, but never got it). There was over a 25 minute wait between our starter and entree, with no explanation. My spouse and I both ordered the duck which was properly cooked, but the sauces overwhelmed the main component - the duck. For two of us with a very nice bottle of wine, plus tip, $1,600 later. We will not be back!

    I took my husband here for his 40th birthday. I had high hopes but overall the experience was very mid. Our table was not ready for us when we arrived timely for our reservation. Service was slow. It took a long time for our server to show up at our table, it took a long time for our wine to arrive, and a long time for everything after that. Our server was a little abrasive, but she did do good wine service which you don’t see often. I’m pretty sure she forgot to put in our fries that she convinced us to get because they arrived basically at the end of the meal. The onion soup was good, we enjoyed the beet salad and the foie gras. My husband’s steak was flavorless. My duck was swimming in sauce. The crème brûlée was an epic fail. It was like they tried to brûlée a panna cotta. There was no crisp sugar to break through, it was just like a gelatinous blob on the plate. The coconut and passion fruit dessert was excellent. Including tip we spent around five hundred dollars and it just left us shrugging at the end of our meal instead of raving about it.

    This restaurant was very good and we all enjoyed our meals. The food quality, flavors, and presentation were outstanding. Compliments to the kitchen staff. The service could have been better. There were large gaps of time between when we saw staff. The bill was presented for example and we were ready to pay but it took about 10 minutes for them to come back to run the Credit card. Another observation, the staff couldn't figure out placement of the food based on the seating (we did not move seats after we ordered) and the starters arrived before the shared appetizer was cleared. I did ask them to slow down the service, so perhaps that is why we didn't see anyone for a while. The first bottle of wine we ordered (at $165 per bottle) was not available. They offered something similar - which was excellent but the price per bottle was $250, which we learned when presented with the bill. The wine list is extensive and I think its more about impressing the guests with bottles that are $2000- $14,000 vs having the actual wine on site. We loved the wine that we had so at $250 per bottle we were very happy but that is the kind of thing that is best communicated clearly before its opened.
