Owner Brian Piccini is proud of his award-winning Restaurant & Bar, Deuxave in the Back Bay. The inspiration behind the restaurant’s American Nouveau Cuisine is seasonality, with a focus on working with the finest farms and purveyors, sourcing out the freshest, local ingredients and amplifying their magnificence. The cuisine is strongly rooted in the nouvelle techniques of contemporary French cuisine, married with the splendor of American ingredients in a refined, but casual setting. Deuxave’s (pronounced doo-ave) name plays homage to its location at the corners of Commonwealth Ave and Massachusetts Ave.

Our experience at Deuxave was nothing short of exceptional! From start to finish it was absolutely incredible from service to food, drinks and environment, this was the PERFECT place to have our anniversary dinner! My wife and I eat out all the time and have been to some exceptional restaurants, we both agreed completely that Deuxave is up there for us! They greeted us with champagne to celebrate (shoutout to our AMAZING waiter throughout Eoin,) gave us great suggestions, and the tasting menu was perfect. I splurged for the Deuxave martini and it is worth EVERY penny. The smoothest martini I've had and we loved it! For the tasting we had gazpacho, duck confit (unreal and our absolute favorite), eggplant tortellini, NY Strip (also phenomenal), and strawberry mouse. Everything was just perfect and seriously we had not one bad bite or sip the entire evening. The ambience was also perfectly quiet without it feeling stuck up or out of touch. It was super inviting and overall the perfect space for a romantic evening. Thank you to Deuxave for giving us our most memorable anniversary dinner yet!! A new favorite of ours in Boston! :)

An excellent VIP experience from the moment we walked into the door. We were outside, per our request. The chef and his creations were a sensation to the palette. I had the summer salad and French onion soup. We also tried the halibut. Delicious. Kaitlyn made the evening even more special. Highly recommend

We arrived at 5:30 on Wednesday, so the place was practically empty. That made it quiet and the service prompt. We shared the Duet of Prime Beef for our appetizer and it was really superb. I then had the salmon; the salmon itself was nothing special, but the 3 bean salad underneath was good.

Sunday anniversary date night. We were sat next to a family with bouncy children despite their being an empty dining room with plenty of open tables. Waited with empty cocktail glasses and empty plates on the table for longer than we should have on a slow night. Decent meal but absolutely 3 stars. Everything about our meal and experience was 3 stars. Maybe try a Friday or Saturday night because the Sunday crew is the B team.
