Owner Brian Piccini and Chef/Owner Christopher Coombs are proud of their award winning Restaurant & Bar, Deuxave in the Back Bay. The inspiration behind the restaurant’s American Nouveau Cuisine is seasonality, with a focus on working with the finest farms and purveyors, sourcing out the freshest, local ingredients and amplifying their magnificence. The cuisine is strongly rooted in the nouvelle techniques of contemporary French cuisine, married with the splendor of American ingredients in a refined, but casual setting. Deuxave’s (pronounced doo-ave) name plays homage to its location at the corners of Commonwealth Ave and Massachusetts Ave.

Deuxave will be open from 12pm to 8pm on Mother's Day, serving our wonderful dinner menu all day long plus some fantastic additions by Chef Chris Coombs. A credit card is required to reserve a table and there is a cancellation fee of $50 per person if cancelled after 5pm on Friday May 7th.

Perfect for dressed-up dinners. Food is fantastic and classy. Try the chicken or duck, but do not forget about the stake on the next visit. Desert? Never had better! This is a culinary experience at its best. And now you can enjoy all that outdoors as well. In short, nothing better in Boston.

Visited Deuxave to celebrate my fiance's birthday. We had the most outstanding and unforgettable dinner here! We ordered focaccia, foie gras, and duck confit for the appetizer, and halibut, duck breast, and fries on the side as the main course. The taste was superb and the service was fantastic. We were recommended the perfect pairing wine that goes well with the main course. Will visit again on a special occasion!

The staff are welcoming, and the service exceptional. The food is divine.

Special occasion or a date night, this is the spot. Plan to spend 2 hours plus. The pre fix menu is fabulous and the olive bread to start things off is so perfect. Get the wine pairing if it’s in your budget , def makes for a special evening.

I've never been disappointed at Deuxave. Spiced duck breast had good flavor and great accompaniments. Found a new favorite wine. The dark chocolate ganache dessert was to die for. The only minor thing I'd note is that they appear to have gone back to their underhanded water charge - at least now it is for a bottle and not a carafe of tap - but still, to lead off with 'still or sparkling' as if there is no choice in the matter and then be charged for it (having chosen 'still') leaves a bad aftertaste.

They are not firing on all engines....prix fixe menu on Easter came out at intervals of 5 minutes or 35 minutes...and hot plates were served cold...too expensive for this service/ food

Glass snd silverware are wonderful leading to the best salad I have experienced in ages. The Spring salad was all about greasy seasonal ingredients and it was so fresh!! The duck and the chicken were cooked perfectly and all was delicious.

Everything about our dinner there was wonderful but it was a lot of money to pay for a 2 hour meal. I'll be happy to go back after the pandemic-related time restrictions are eliminated and we can linger longer over our dinner.

We had a great time! The food was super. The mussel appetizer was on the skimpy side but everything else was really good. The pasta bolognese outstanding.! We were in a nook with another table that was quite noisy but we dealt with it. A nice evening.

Probably as good as it can get eating outside at the intersection of two avenues. Despite the 35 degree temperature, we were relatively warm, given the heaters and the warm staff. Informative, not pushy, attentive. A pleasure to enjoy the evening there.

Disappointed in the food - it was fine, but not great. Highlight was one fish entree in a delicious curry broth. Server seemed to be someone filling in for the night who normally plays a different role.

tasting menu was delicious. it favored proteins with no salad. we paired the wines offered with the tasting menu and found the reds to be very unworthy of the price.

Very disappointing poorly managed food was out of order and rushed got bread apps and AB simultaneously entrees were like warm IVE NEVER BEEN CHARGED FOR BREAD LOL NOT EVEN A MICHELIN STAR RESTAURANT DOES THAT !!

The atmosphere was nice. The service was good. The food was less than par for the price. Expected more of a french cuisine. If you don't mind paying top dollar for descent service and a nice atmosphere Deuxave is your place! If I pay 32$ for my sons pasta it should be spectacular!

This was our first visit and our dinner was amazing!! The foie Gras was the best I ever had. I had duck for my entree. The quality and quantity was of great value. Lady (her name) our waitress was so attentive and made our experience an exceptional one. Everyone was very professional and wanted to please. I highly recommend. I can’t wait to go back!

Very enjoyable dining experience, even in COVID time. Staff manage a good balance between attentiveness and letting you enjoy your meal in peace. The patio space feels safe, with good spacing among tables, and lots of good things on the menu.

Our server was nice but for the first half hour that we were seated, he barely checked in and only got us waters. We got our food almost an hour and a half into our seating, which should’ve been our time limit. Our dinner took too long so we had to opt out of dessert, unfortunately. Granted, it was a Friday night and the patio seemed full.
