   My family enjoyed our dinners at Delmonico’s while on vacation in Rapid .city. The filet and bison were tasty and prepared to our liking. We don’t often order dessert after a great meal but we couldn’t resist sharing the Butterscotch Pot de Crème, Crème Brûlée and Chocolate Torte Bar. Service was attentive.

   We order medium rare stakes. One was received medium, I decided to keep it and eat it. The other came well done. For a meat that price we were not willing To sacrifice. We ask that they bring a new one to the desired temperature. They willingly took It back but took them 30 minutes to Come back with the stake. At that time I already had finished mine, and then waited for my husband to eat his. Our mood was already different and the overall experience somehow ruined. They didn’t compensate for their mistakes in any way.

   The service as usual is polite and nice. But not very fast. The steaks we had were way over salted to the point where my wife could not finish hers . Everything being ala cart is kind of disappointing.I don't think the price is worth what you get, when paying $50 for just the steak and $7 for a potato and $8 for 2 crumbles of blue cheese as a topping. I understand costs are up but having been in the restaurant business for 20 years this is a bit steep.

   Impressed with the kind employees who run this place. The NY strip was a fantastic dry age. They close early, but most places do in Rapid City.

   Had a really nice and enjoyable dinner at Delmonicos we were very pleased with our food and the service The filet mignons we both ordered were exceptional as were the sides our waiter Kyle was a pleasure to chat with and was personable and knowledgeable and made our dinner that much better highly recommend dining at Delmonicos and apparently it’s extremely popular considering it was packed on a Wednesday night

   Ordered my filet medium and it came well done. To their defense, I ate it as is - it is horrible to send food back and watch others eat then have to eat your returned food when they are done. Service was a bit slow and we felt it was overpriced.

   Order your steaks less done. We specifically asked for medium rare and questioned the waiter on how the chef prepares. On the rare side or more on the done side. We were told more on the rare side , so ordered Medium Rare. Both came out way over done with no pink at all. Still tender but overdone.
