Della's Kitchen - Delano Las Vegas
Menu sounded much better than the food actually was. Breakfast steak and pastrami (hash) were tough, not tender. Very expensive for the quality. Service was mediocre.
Servers were abrupt, not friendly and seemed to be in too much of a hurry. The place was not busy. One server did apologize for getting our order wrong. The worst part is they charge for regular water and don’t tell you beforehand. We received our bill and assumed it was for the bottle of water at our table. So we left with it, until they stopped us and said it would be an EXTRA $12 for the bottle of water. Nope nope nope! No apologies from them whatsoever. Silly. Not returning again to pay $85 for three egg plates and juice.
We were seated quickly after arriving for our lunch reservation, and then ignored for twenty minutes. If we’d had a conference to return to, this would’ve been a catastrophe since we couldn’t then give up, get up, find another place, order and eat, and return in time for the speaker agenda.
After we complained, they brought us some croissants, which were quite good. Our *temporary* waiter let us know that the “coffees of the world” was not a good choice, since we’d receive two cups (one for each of us) and no refills. We got the house coffee - with a free one via a Yelp check in! - and it was perfectly fine.
I had the pastrami panini, which was configured a bit like a Reuben - except on plain white bread instead of rye, possibly roast beef in the middle instead of pastrami, and no sauerkraut. I was very underwhelming.
Service by the temp waiter was conciliatory and professional. After our proper waiter came by there were no pleasantries, no warmth, and I imagine he was unhappy about being assigned to our table in the first place, avoided us, and then did it grudgingly.
Would I ever return? No. This is Vegas, and the Delano/Mandalay complex is packed with scores of other choices.
Update: Be aware of false charges on your credit card!!!! I just found out that the restaurant changed my bill and tip without my knowledge. I received the itemized bill, and looked at the charge on the portable card reader, all was well and when it printed out, I didn't pay attention because why would it be different that the charge I saw and tip I added? I signed the receipt and when I looked at it later found the amount is $10 more than I spent.
Original Post: I, Myself and co-workers were so excited to visit Della's Kitchen but left very disappointed. The service was poor, as in non-existent, the food was about the same. So that I am very specific, one of us ordered the the Avocado Toast and it was so hard that a steak knife wouldn't cut through it. The biscuit & gravy was nasty because the biscuit was like a 2 ton brick it was so heavy. The gravy was congealed and while it didn't taste horrible, it would have been nice to have it hot. One of my co-workers ordered a side of bacon which never showed. They put water on the table and then charge you for it whether or not you drink it. The list goes on and on. I won't be going back.
Friendly, helpful service, large menu selection, open to customize for healthier options. It gets busy after 7:30 during conventions, so reservations were helpful.
All was great!
Loved how accessible it was from Delano. We went there for two breakfasts. We were quickly seated and both times the hostesses and staff were very friendly. However first day our food took over 30mins and was cold when it came out. Second day food was prompt but was cold and staff forgot water and other basics during the meal. Both times either the food was just being reheated and had pre-been prepared before hand to just be warmed up
The Food was great...but very short staffed. Our waiter was very nice but in the weeds.
We waited a long time to get seated and the restaurant was nearly empty. It took so long to find the hostess I thought she had quit her job. We accidentally spilled our iced tea and it took nearly 5 minutes and multiple request and employees passing us without helping to finally get the table cleaned. After going through all that the food was barely edible. It didn't taste good at all. It was also very expensive and I wish I had time to request a refund.
Great tres leches french toast.
The servers were rude until bill came and wanted a tip
3 different people involved I don’t think any of them wanted the table. Waited for everything never did get water.
Did the chicken and waffles. Chicken was over cooked and under seasoned. Waffle was soggy. Service was brusque...working Christmas Day isn’t the greatest though so maybe that was a factor.
Totally a 1 and done
Ok service and good food.
A really nice place and quiet location from the main path of casino. Enjoyed a great breakfast.
Food very well prepared and delivered in timely manner considering very busy and crowded.
4 of 5 stats on pork eggs benedict, hash, and omelettes. Staff did great job. Very good overall.
Tired Della’s Kitchen while waiting for my room to be ready. It was convenient and I was starving. The restaurant is nice and clean. Nice open concept. I ordered the chicken and waffles and a healthy juice drink. Service was good. The juice was good and refreshing. The presentation of the food was very nice. Waffle and accompanying syrup was good. Chicken breast could have been more tender and juicy. However, I would recommend for a bite to eat if your too much of a foodie for breakfast. Good portion.
We made a reservation with Open table but it still took at least 20-25 mins to get in - busy morning, I get it but we had another appt so we were rushed. Our server was very polite and the food tasted good but the hot chocolate was neither hot nor chocolate. So the experience was ok but little changes could have made it amazing.
Great menu. Awesome food. Friendly servers. Our go to place for a wonderful brunch.
The food, ambience, and waitstaff were all excellent. The mimosas were unique and delicious. I would strongly recommend Della’s Kitchen to others.
Very efficient and friendly environment and good food.
Good quality ingredients made for a nice filling breakfast
This is The second visit for Jon and I, We love the food! Awesome omelette and toast and fruit! Our server was so sweet and let our coffee full all the time!
Food was outstanding, service could be better, especially at the hostess stand.
Service was awful. Our server admitted he had too many tables. Ordered 4 items. 2 came out cold-the biscuit and gravy and the huevos rancheros. The only things right were the breakfast burrito and the sweet potato tots. The manager ended up taking the cold items off our bill after he first stated “he would see what he could do with our bill.”! This restaurant had potential, but there are so many other places to eat in Vegas. Do yourself a favor and skip this restaurant.
The service was horrible
Food really good
Not impressed. We were charged for water! Grilled cheese sandwich was only grilled ion one side. Sparse on cheese and heavy on bread. Prices were steep for quality of food. Maybe breakfast is better than lunch. I guess I won’t find out.
El aire acondicionado es muy fuerte
Hace mucho frío en el lugar
Cierra muy temprano para almorzar
Muy lento el servicio por poco personal
Great place for business breakfast.
Nothing special about this place
Not so great. Service was horrible.
We set a 12pm reservation, couldn’t get seated until 12:35 and our food took 45 minutes to be delivered. Overall not worth it during a convention. Additionally, there was no concern about being so slow or late.
Melissa our server is simply rude and horrible as if everybody owe her money.
Just fair. You’ll find better food and value elsewhere.
Avocado toast with Salmon and Latte were amazing. You should definitely visit Della's Kitchen for breakfast
French toast was excellent. Grilled cheese and soup was very good. Service was outstanding.
I’ve eaten here 4 or 5 times now and I’m usually happy with the food, but I found my chicken sandwich was under seasoned (the chicken had no flavour) and my salad was so vinegary it was hard to eat (I was going to send it back but got too full and I was with clients). The food was really slow as well (and not as busy as usual). Service was decent. I was disappointed.
