Deerpark Restaurant-Biltmore Estate
The ambiance was breathtaking. The service from the moment we walked into the building was courteous, and accommodating. The food choices and quality of food was superb. There was a good balance of brunch options and lunch options. The grandson particularly enjoyed the chicken and waffles.
We will absolutely return and recommend the Deerpark Restaurant on the Biltmore Estate to friends and family.
Love eating here! Food is always great and interesting. Atmosphere is always relaxing. Wish I could eat there every Sunday.
My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary here for Sunday brunch after touring the Biltmore. The food was beyond delicious. The only thing that made it less then a perfect experience is that our plates had not been cleared off the table when we went back for seconds and we had to remind our waitress twice to refill our beverages. However it did not take away from the experience and ambiance! Thank you for a memorable morning!
We felt the hostess was abrupt and not friendly or helpful at all
Waitress was slow on drink refills and clearing table. Food presentation and variety was great.
I was very disappointed in the food. I have been there before during Christmas it was great I took my best friend to impress was very disappointed in the food and the pastries were gross .I tried all of them . The only thing that was good was the brisk.
The food is outstanding! Loved the live music it wasn’t too loud and created a nice atmosphere. Save room for desserts!
There was a guitarist playing a little too loud during my visit.
We eat at the Deerpark at least 6 times a year and had eaten there just two weeks earlier. They change their menu quarterly, and we'd enjoyed the menu so much that we returned with a friend as soon as we could.
The rainbow carrots and the smashed Yukon Gold and redskin potatoes were superb, as well as all of the meats (smoked brisket, pork loin, and grilled chicken w/pineapple. My husband and friend both really enjoyed the She crab soup and the Cajun shrimp. An unusual combination but pretty and very tasty, the passionfruit basil cake was delicious, and we loved so many of the other desserts (too many to name, all that we tasted were so good--we could have stuffed ourselves on them alone!).
Our waitress Lisa was as pleasant, efficient and attentive as could be. The wait staff in general has always been very good.
And the live music was pleasant, not too loud, but helped with the ambiance.
This was definitely one of their best menus. Great job!!
We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the selection of food and drinks. Our waitress was very attentive. Had a very nice time!
The restaurant was nice; HOWEVER the food was less than stellar. First, we hit the salad bar. It was well stocked and everything we tried was very good BUT the lettuce and plates were room temperature. Next we tried the green gazpacho soup — excellent. The main plates had some issues: the pork loin was overdone (very dry); the brisket was okay but was lukewarm; the shrimp were very good; didn't try the chicken but many in the restaurant were eating it. The veggies were okay; the potatoes were very nice. All the bread selections were very good. Finally the desserts: we tried most of what was offered. Some pastries were good; many were not great. Example (see pictures): The purple dessert was a mousse and it was just okay; the other item in the glass was very pretty but had virtually no flavor at all. My wife did enjoy the lemon/berry cake. She said it was the best of what was offered. To give a yes or no recommendation was difficult. We would like to try the Deerpark again, but not soon. Value-wise it was okay.
We thoroughly enjoyed the food. However our server was very disappointing! We have dined at the Deer park several times, and we are have been Biltmore passholders for several years. Our service there has always been fantastic, very efficient and friendly. However on our last visit our server, her name is Jeanette ( I remember because that's also my name) was not attentive or friendly. It took a while for her to come to our table for our drink order, she was not friendly as our servers have been in the past. She was also very slow at clearing our used dishes, I had to ask her to remove some of them.
Regardless of this we did enjoy the food as it is always delicious and we will return. Just wanted to let you know that we expect better service at the Deerpark!
We have been Biltmore Passholders for years and love eating at the Deerpark..... everything is exceptional.
We loved everything about Deerpark. I had such a lovely Mother’s Day. It is pricey but worth it for us. It is lovely and the food is plentiful and very good.
My mother and I attended the mother's day brunch yesterday, 5/12/2019. I have to tell you, it was one of the worst experiences I have encountered at a restaurant. I could overlook the fact that the food was far from the table where we were seated. or we had a reservation but still had to wait 30min to be seated. Or the fact the price was ridiculous for the amount of food we ate, and that was mainly due to fact that we didn't want to make a trek back to the buffet tables because it was so far away from where we were seated. However, I can not overlook the way we were treated by the server. I brought my mother there for her to be pampered and be treated well on her special day but our server was tired. We had to ask for things on several occasion because they kept forgetting to attend to us. I feel for the price we paid and considering the special occasion, my mother should have been made to feel like she was being waited on rather than feeling like she was a bother to the server. I do have to say the food was good, at least what we were able to try. But that is only part of the experience of going out to a fine dining establishment. I am sure there are off days wherever you go but this encounter was not pleasant at all!
enjoyed the meal as usual, food was good, menu was great there was a mistake on the website saying you were closing at 2pm when we were leaving people were coming in and were confused by the website
Second time here for Mothers Day Lunch. The food and service was excellent.
Mother’s Day, the buffet was expensive and the choices fine, but the value is not there. We have been many times, but will no longer do major days there again.
Great for Mother’s Day brunch. Even though it’s a little pricey.
Lovely brunch. Simply the best for any special occasion.
Major Problem...The Price for what you receive, Now has
become Too Costly!
Great place for a special day. We enjoy coming here every Mother’s Day. We also come to celebrate other special occasions
Food was overpriced. Dessert table was lacking. Unfortunately, will not return.
Best Goode ever!! Something for everyone!!!
Will definitely come back again!!!
There is a higher fee than the usual buffet because it was a holiday, however the food offering was mostly the same as usual. We are pass holders and didn't even get our pass holder discount. Our server was awful. Had to ask for a beverage 3 times before he remembered to being it. The highlight was the beautiful flowers around the building and in the courtyard.
Excellent as always, brunch at Deerpark is the best
Wow! What an incredible experience! The food, the service, the atmosphere was all fantastic! The Deerpark team truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic meal to celebrate a graduation. The She Crab Soup was AMAZING!! A must for special occasions, even if that just means celebrating a visit to Biltmore.
This is a must if you visit Biltmore Estate on the weekends. The food and service are excellent. Their menu changes several times a year and this one features shrimp, brisket and my favorite - she crab soup. Be sure to make a reservation as they do get quite busy around 12 to 1 pm.
Everyone was wonderful. We enjoyed most of the food. There was a basil cake that was delicious. The setting was beautiful. My husband enjoyed chatting with the inlet chef.
We've dined many times at the Deerpark and always enjoy the experience. However this time our server was not up to the standard that we usually experience. Not sure she ever smiled and did not keep up with keeping the table cleared. You might have been short handed with staff and she might have been busy but her lack of enthusiasm and being friendly certainly affected our overall dining experience.
Nice buffet brunch. The coffee cake was excellent, and the pork loin carved to order with pesto was also very good. The pimento cheese grits were tasty!! The smashed fingerlings were worth a second helping. The french toast bar and the chicken and waffles were good. But the eggs and omelets cooked to order were really greasy. And the desserts looked good, but lacked flavor.
Beautiful and romantic decor. Fabulous food with choices for every palate!
Very enjoyable brunch. Was great to eat without all the usual restaurant noise and little kids running around.
Awesome experience all around. Biltmore shines at Deer Park!!
Prices are a little on the high side, but expected seeing as it’s a Biltmore. Would also be nice if there were buffets on both ends of the restaurant.. it felt very crowded at times and sometimes the lines for certain dishes were too long.
Overall the experience was great.
Food was excellent! Chef Jonathan on the omelette station was very nice and a great cook! Service at the table was a little slow but overall the experience was fantastic!! Loved that cheerwine based bbq sauce too!!
Wonderful as always! Our server, Neil, went above and beyond to make our experience special! Biltmore never disappoints! It's like having lunch on a garden patio; natural lighting, beautiful plants, and amazingly comfy chairs which are great to lean back in after you've eaten way too much. There is always live music which is never too loud but adds just the right touch to the overall experience. When it comes to the price , it is worth every penny!
Another wonderful Deerpark experience! That's why we keep going back several times a year.
The food was great and well worth the money. Service was poor. Looked to be understaffed. Management was bussing tables. Had to wait a longggg time for our waitress to come by. Ran out of coffee and water. On the coffee, I got 1 refill. The water never was refilled. The person sitting people acted as if she was better than those she was sitting. We had made reservations and another group walked in after we did. Who do you think she sat first? The drop in group. But the overall experience was good and we will return.
Fabulous food, great ambiance. Feels like a fancy restaurant with a casual laid back attitude.
We loved the food and live music. Wonderful lunch!
