Our first time at the Dean Street Townhouse, and we’ll be back! Following a recommendation I brought friends here for a Sunday breakfast. We loved the warm atmosphere, comfortable and attractive furnishings, wide choice of food including non wheat options, courteous and friendly staff and great food. My granola was the best I’ve ever had, and friends all enjoyed their toasted bacon sandwich, porridge, and scrambled eggs on toast. Coffees and tea were all delicious too and nicely presented. Perfect!

One party member had a long list of severe allergies so the chef actually came to our table to discuss with him the best options for his meal. In such a busy place, at 8.30 on Saturday night, we thought that was incredibly diligent and caring. We all thought the food was very, very good but my fish pie had so much mashed potato on it that it would have been enough for two people. Overall, though, excellent - we will go back.

We were sat in the quieter part of the restaurant, which was perfect as we had our 8 yr old daughter. The decor in this section reminded me of a stylish country house. I have food intolerances and the chef came to our table to explain which menu options would be ok. Service attentive . My husband had the pre theatre set menu and I ate from the main menu . Food very good . Would return and definitely recommend .

Great atmosphere , good food, excellent service. Pretty good value for London. Two hours was plenty for 2 courses and coffee. Menu is quite limited, but all the food was tasty, especially the starters.

We went for breakfast, we had full vegetarian breakfast and english breakfast with smoothie and orange juicy, pastry basket and coffee. We have paid 33£ each which is a decent price for what we've got. Food was also very good, nothing special but a good fulfilling tasty breakfast. Service can also be a bit better, otherwise not a bad breakfast/brunch place!

We were made to wait for 30mins for our table and had to ask 3 times to pay the bill. It’s a fun location, food good, but don’t expect super service

Amazing! Only slight Criticism (it’s not really one to be fair!) too much food on the roast! As I felt bad for not finishing it. But staff were great food was incredible and decor is on point!

Lovely venue serving excellent Sunday lunch, although be warned that the main courses are HUGE.

Service was good, with a friendly vibe, although sometimes a little informal for my liking.

Overall though, this is a gem of tradional, relaxed civility in a great localation. I will be visiting again!

Fantastic food and fantastic service, would definitely recommend this restaurant. The only downside is it can bit a little noisy if seated near the bar area.

Always enjoy Dean Street Townhouse , great service and buzzy atmosphere .
What I would say is that the food is the one area that has slipped . Dishes were lukewarm , menu quite limited with some dishes being quite bland ( chicken and barley broth for one which I expected more ) .
Would return for their excellent breakfasts but would want to see improvements before heading back for dinner .

Dining area is right next to the bar, so it was very loud. However, food was nice and service was good.

This was a pre-theatre valentines date. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. My partner is Ivor vegan and gluten free but loved her food, the chef came out to chat with her which was a nice touch. I had the haddock soufflé which is one of the nicest things I’ve ever eaten - great location, wonderful date so thanks to all

Really lovely food but don’t bother with the ‘mince and potatoes’, you will be disappointed. My pheasant and bacon pie was fabulous and came with some lovely Savoy cabbage so didn’t need the chips I ordered! Didn’t have a pud as too full! Great buzzy atmosphere at lunch but there were 8 of us on a big table and it was very difficult for our waiter to hear us and vice versa. Also, they do that thing I hate of taking your wine bottle away so you are at their mercy of remembering to top up your glass. We asked for the wine to be left on the table but that seems to confuse. But these are minor points and I highly recommend.

Have been here many times. It has been one of our favourite spots for Sunday Lunch for a while. This is our first visit this year and couldn't help feeling the standards have slipped a little. The food wasn't up to it's normal high level and the service was really hit and miss, and quite frankly annoying. A shame as it's so good normally... Has it changed hands? Is it resting on it's laurels? Will have to wait and see.

Great place but we had an issue with getting our table. We have waited over half an hour and after complaining we got the apologies and a prosseco on the house. The waiter was super friendly and helped to recover the evening. The food was also very tasty. Overall a very nice evening after the initial hiccup.

We went for the pre-theatre dinner. We had salmon followed by their cheeseburger which was delicious! The restaurant is lovely. The service was excellent. I’m not sure that the two course dinner is such a bargain but no complaints
