Delicious food & classic atmosphere. Enjoyed the full range of the menu including a wonderful bottle of red. Attentive service and authentic entrees. Good value.
The service is wonderful! Our food was beyond delicious. At the table next to us, however, the man dining alone did not enjoy what he had ordered. The waiter, who was very nice, promptly removed it and sent the manager. She had him order something different, apologized, and comped his entree. WOW!
Our entrees, appetizer, wine and desserts were superb. We would not hesitate to recommend and return.
The service is outstanding. The atmosphere is beautiful. The food is exceptional.
New York steak was excellent. Chicken piccata was fair, overcooked, tough and too much lemon. Brussel sprouts not cooked enough.
We live in Sacramento and travel quite a bit. This is my favorite restaurant in the whole world. The service and food are fabulous, and the ambience is beautiful. Very old world style and the waiters treat females like they are very special (a lost art). Try the Caesar Salad made for two at tableside. Highly recommend and we will be back again and again!!
Restaurant is good. Service was great. Entree’s were a little bland. Dessert and salad was great. Portions are small.
Excellent food. Excellent service, waiter Juan was very attentive. Nice atmosphere, not stuffy. Impressed.
The food was outstanding and the wait staff was very helpful and friendly. The only issue we had was that we were seated in the "other" dining area (not the main one) and it was noticably colder. Other than that, it was a great experience.
Our first visit to Medici and it was outstanding... The owner came by and he was very gracious. His food is very good and authentic. Will be back.
Excellent dining experience! Great food and service. Highly recommend if you are in the Search Light District of San Diego.
Perfection all the way around.
Excellent service, delicious food and s great wine selection. Enjoyed tremendously!
This restaurant reminds me of the old world Italian restaurants in San Francisco. The charm is impossible to describe and just say it is worth the drive. And the food is so good. Not fusion, new world just great established Italian food. This is our "go to" restaurant when ever we go to the Gaslamp.
Omg. This place was to die for! The service was phenomenal. No rush. Food so so authentic and delicious. Loved all the table side offerings.
Juan is an amazing waiter always on key. And the staff is always pleasant and attentive.
The food was fantastic. All of the staff were very nice and the service was overall great. Will definite come back here again.
Outstanding service and the food was amazing! Our server, Juan made our evening out exceptional!
Great food, professional, lovely decor. Will definitely come agsin
Outstanding food and service as usual. We dine here a couple of times a year for the past 5 years. We’ve never been disappointed. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Beautiful place with good food and attentive staff.
My husband and I had reservations to celebrate our anniversary, but last minute plan changes, we brought our daughter with us. We actually had our wedding dinner and this same restaurant and it was great being back! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the Cesar salad that was made from scratch at the table! The atmosphere is always very romantic and perfect for date nights. Our waiter was really cool and was even cool with our 3 year old. We will definitely be back in the future!
Excellent service, fabulous waiter & food
Excellent restaurant. We were a group of 6 and everyone loved it! The food and drink was wonderful!
Excellent food with excellent service. Worth every penny.
Great drinks, very good carpaccio appetizer, but my saltimbocca main dish was a little tougher than I would have preferred, and not quite as flavorful as I had anticipated.
The best restaurant I’ve been to in a long time.
Staff was unbelievably friendly
Food was high quality and priced right
The food is delicious and the presentation is beautiful! The service is fantastic and the owner Salvatore is the life of the restaurant he is a showman and a fantastic restauranteur!
My veal parm was not fully cooked which made for a disappointing experience. Nice service nice folks otherwise.
This was a classic "good foil spoiled by bad service" experience. Although the restaurant wasn't busy, the staff seemed to ignore me and I was periodically waving to get their attention. Also, I didn't have one waiter, but several, and it was confusing to keep track of who I asked for what, and who didn't do what they said. Finally, I think the staff attitude was more like "I'm here to do a job" than "I'm here to make your dining experience great".
El area donde nos ubicaron esta muy fea el huele muy mal .
Comida y servicio muy bien
We went to de Medici Cucina Italiana for our Anniversary. The food and service were fantastic! Would recommend this place to everyone.
Unfortunately this dining experience was underwhelming. There’s so much to say but let me start with the positive. One member of our party ordered the Stuffed Seafood entree and they raved about it. All the rest of our meal was mediocre. The bread appeared to be heated up packaged rolls and wasn’t very tasty. Bread is the first exposure to a restaurant’s food quality. I judge a bread as good if I could continue to eat it with butter all night and not care about the food. We recently dined at another restaurant in the SD gaslamp area and the bread there was remarkable. Secondly, the pasta was poor quality and the sauce likewise. I ordered lobster and the portion was small. It was served with 2 vegetables which were cold and skimpy. The ambience was lackluster. No music playing, no appeal. The waiter was just OK. There was hardly anyone in the place which should’ve translated to better service. Finally, let me just say that the only thing that keeps a place like this in business is the fact that it’s in a popular heavily-traveled tourist locale. Were it not for that, this place would go under. I wish them luck but we won’t be back.
We dined here during our honeymoon. The overall service was amazing and Juan was friendly, attentive and efficient. The food was superb as well. We would definitely go back if in the San Diego area again.
We were visiting San Diego and wanted to experience fine dining at a reasonable price ... de Medici definitely delivered, if a touch on the pricey side! Attentive service, wonderful food and a quiet atmosphere all contributed to an outstanding experience.
Dined there many times, always good! Would highly recommend.
You made our anniversary dinner very special. Thank you
The only thing that was good was the caesar salad. The calamari was chewier than a rubber band - they did take it off the bill. The pasta was substantially overcooked. Too many other great restaurants in San diego, this one needs to step up or go away.
The service was outstanding. My husband has mobility problems, but the management was very accommodating to his needs. The wait staff was friendly and very professional. The food was delicious! We would definitely return!
Wonderful meal. Would eat here every time I am in San Diego!
