Davanti Enoteca - Little Italy
Tuscan toast + pomodoro + parmesan
Crispy Pork Ribs
bacon blue cheese coleslaw, saba, hazelnuts
Cute place with good food. Definitely would go back.
Excellent and friendly service, but food was a little pricey and only okay.
Always the best spot to reunite with loved ones as we can count it being the best food with the best staff in all of Little Italy, SD! We love you guys!
They don’t bring the food together, separately, my meal was done when my boyfriend got his meal,
Our food was very good, and the service staff did a nice job. The unfortunate part was that it took over 20 minutes for 5 entrees to arrive, 3 being served individually and 2 at the same time. That was unacceptable. The meal was discounted but that service makes it hard to recommend dining here.
Although our service/food was average (or below) on this visit, the food at Davanti generally appeals to us. The pizza was a bit disappointing this time but the burger was excellent. Will give them another try next time.
One of my staple spots in Little Italy. I’m here all the time 🤩
Our server was Bryan and he was excellent! I used to hostess and am critical of the position often, but I was so pleasantly surprised by the hostess too! She was friendly and bubbly but also with it and effective. Huge bonus. Food was delicious as always.
Wow - Bloody Mary bar was insane! Food was great and service too!
35 minute wait slow service and cold food
The hostess was very friendly and seated us slightly ahead of our reservation. Our server was friendly and for the most part attentive. The nose level was extreme otherwise we would have stayed longer and enjoyed more wine.. The pizza and the chicken were really good however the bruschetta was horrible. I might go so far as to suggest removing it from the menu.
Love the food here!
I was charged $22 for a single ravioli. The water should have warned me because I would NEVER have ordered it.
We are from the Northeast and are always looking for good spots when traveling to try. Not only did we have a great meal but we had some fantastic wine. Our server was knowledgable and answered all our preorder questions. My Husband and I both ordered the Gnudi pomodoro with a meatball. The ricotta dumplings melted in your mouth. The sauce was definitely different with a black pepper and red pepper flake flare. The unique meatball had a sausage taste to it. Our son ordered a pizza and gobbled it all up. We all really enjoyed our meals and the quality of the food. If we come back to San Diego we will definitely return and try other entrees and appetizers off their menu.
The food was just horrible. We got the steak and cacio con pepe and both were very subpar. Did not finish either.
Best Focaccia bread in town!
A fun and well designed environment that feels traditional with a twist. Decent wine selection and good cocktail list. Server was outstanding and attentive and made sure we wanted for nothing and provided great recommendations and info throughout our visit. Food was good and at the price point a good value.
Food excellent, service outstanding, ambiance great, noise deafening. Almost impossible to be heard over the din. If you are looking for great food and no conversation, this is your place.
Sat us outdoors by the street despite reservations well in advance when 56 degrees and heaters too far apart, server over promised and under delivered on everything: bread, specials, drinks. Mushroom app was interesting, but the lobster special was killed by melted cheese and the seafood linguini appeared to have can scallops and the tiniest of clams... all 3 of them, with a flavor akin to salted olive oil. Many great options in Little Italy, but this is not one of them.
Frankly not very good food, although our server was super nice, I got the feeling that they run the place like a factory, push the most expensive dishes out. Pasta was too peppery, food was kinda boring for a relatively high price. Sorry, won’t return.
Service was great. We were sat immediately. The food came out in timely fashion and was delicious.
The focaccia bread was AMAZING! Also, our server Michael was excellent. Very personable & funny. We will definitely come back on our next SD trip.
Excellent service and food!
We had a fabulous experience. We were seated promptly. The restaurant is very lovely, we sat in the back area, open roof, but very comfortable due to the heaters. Food and service was excellent! I will definitely be back and would highly recommend.
My 39th Bday dinner
Our server was great! Wonderful service and food.
We all had a great time
Went for my best friends bday...pretty much ordered everything from vegetables menu and it was all fantastic! Especially the Brussel sprouts! Our server, Rene, was lovely! Had a great time. Will def go back when in the area!
Food was unimpressive. Staff were very rude and inattentive.
Made reservations only one day ahead and felt lucky to get in. Felt even luckier as we walked back to our table knowing it was very busy, yet very nice, and the staff were way friendly. Food is served hot (tapa style) and we ordered four different dishes to try. All four were EXCELLENT and that rarely happens at any restaurant. We'll be back and we'll make our reservations further in advance so we don't miss out!
Absolutely perfect, from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The food was excellent, the service was professional, and the place has a great vibe.
Wait staff was fabulous and the focaccia bread with honey comb wonderfully delicious! Great spot in Little Italy!
Excellent food, service and friendly staff! The lasagna was fantastic!
Food and drinks were great. Lively location however hard hold conversation for given ambience a bit rowdy
Fantastic dining experience for food and an enjoyable evening.
Awesome experience! Must try it out. Everything was great.
Had a great dinner! Celebrated a work promotion, perfect place.
Restaurant was very comfortable. Food was good, but portions were small. Prices reasonable. Staff helpful.
Food was ok. The guy serving our table was nice and efficient. We chose to eat outside in the Patio but the heating was not turned on, so we requested to be seated inside. The woman at front desk told that we will have to wait for another 45 mins if we want to be seated inside as all the inside tables were reserved. However, for another 1.5 hours , I could see at least 4 inside tables empty.
Later on they turned on the patio heating, so that was a relief.
However, they may try to be little more accommodating and polite to their guests!
Set in Little Italy a vibrant district of the city. Meal was fine but not memorable. There are many restaurants here competing.
