Dante Next Door
First time in for brunch on a Saturday. Warm, eclectic atmosphere. However, it was really loud and hard to hear for conversation at our own table. The food was excellent and Mimosa and Bloody Mary’s were great, but slow to come. The serving staff generally seemed overwhelmed even though many open tables. Our server was nice but not super on top of things and a little flustered. Will likely give it another shot.
Dante's Next Door Brunch is the perfect way to bring in a lazy Sunday. Love the brunch menu and the fabulous Bloody Marys make the thought of Monday tolerable. I love the lox breakfast pizza-the perfect combination.
Best Brunch in Cleveland. The staff and food were excellent!! Thank you
Brunch after Disney on Ice!!
Food is always fantastic. Service is a little hit or miss. One of the best brunches in Cleveland.
Staff were very friendly, everyone was happy to oblige all of our wishes. Food was decent
Excellent friendly service!
Excellent menu with something for everyone. Great service. Wonderful mm Wal.
This is a great place to have brunch with one other person or a small group - any more people and it would be hard to hear. But the food was excellent, and the portion size generous (enough for leftovers)!
Was told a good brunch place but menu didn’t prove so. Went safe with pancakes that were not very good. Sausage tasted strange. Wouldn’t recommend.
We love brunch at Dante’s Next Door and always have a wonderful experience. Andrew, who was our server yesterday, was outstanding! Thank you for a lovely Sunday morning! We’ll definitely be back :)
Seated right away. Server was very nice. Food delayed due to something being made incorrectly. And then the for the table order was not good. So much so the server noticed it and brought it up. We weren’t going to even say anything. Will not come back.
Food and service were great! A little noisy but it was busy so to be expected.
Service was fabulous . More than adequate Menu choices . Very polite and knowledgeable server. I’ll be back!
The brunch menu was incredible, our waiter and the manager took excellent care of us, and my friend's birthday celebration was a great success. We can't wait to come back!
Main course was awesome and so were the drinks. I found a hair in my salad. Service was pleasant but didnt deliver food timely. The attentive manager provided a discount at the end of our meal. The restaurant setting was very nice but now that it's getting colder the cool breeze didnt allow us to get too comfortable. So, I'd recommend this to my friends but also advise to sit close to the kitchen where it's warm and you can check on your food.
Great for Brunch with several different breakfast entrees.
Dante Next Door has always been our favorite restaurant for lunch because we love the gluten-free pizza and the bloody Mary’s. The last two times we visited the service was really bad, the pizza was way overcooked it was so hard we couldn’t eat it and had to send it back the first time. this time it was borderline but we didn’t even wanna bother sending it back because it took so long to get it.
I don’t think Dante would be happy to hear that the pizzas are virtually in edible since they can do better. I don’t think we’re going to be in such a big hurry to come back to Dante next door which is sad because it was our favorite.
Usually very good. Not this time. Waiter was MIA, drinks ran dry. Busboy cleared table around us before check arrived, taking our glasses of water (would have asked him leave the water, but he cleared our glasses by sticking his fingers in them). Had the croque madame, served on a hamburger bun. We were advised that no french toast was available, so maybe they ran out of bread.
Lattes, hot chocolate were not warm, rising star could help you make a better latte
Staff was excellent
fire food and drink brunch has you beat on food, flavor and quality
The food here is always excellent and the service is friendly and efficient. Brunch manager, John, is always welcoming and makes sure we have a great experience!
Our first time on the patio-very nice, relaxing, and quiet enough to converse comfortably. Fresh high quality food as always. Attentive service.
First visit: We had a reservation so we didn’t have to wait, it was busy and very noisy... but that’s the nature of these old buildings without sound bufferIng built in.
We waited 10 minutes to order water and coffee, 10 minutes for it to show up, another 5-7 for him to come back with a cup and bring cream.. this was when we asked to please order before he disappeared again. Food was out within 25 minutes, but they forgot my bacon, server didn’t notice until the end of the meal when I asked about it. Didn’t get water refills but they were happy to sell us more OJ, $4 per champagne glass of OJ (seriously?!). The pancakes are light and fluffy, really delicious.
Server seemed nice but a bit overwhelmed from the rush that was just letting up. Server assistants didn’t come refill water, or wipe up coffee that was spilled all over the floor next to our table when being delivered. Bacon was never brought out. Server didn’t. Really come back until he brought us the check.
Food was good, but not $60 brunch-for-2 good. I’d pass on this one, MUCH better options in the immediate and greater Tremont/Ohio City area.
Food was excellent. Our party was there for Sunday brunch and had the DND breakfast, croque, burger, eggs Benedict and box of sweet rolls. All delicious.
Our problem was service and noise. Service was slow, including the server forgot we ordered the sweet rolls and we had to ask after 20 minutes where they were. then 2 meals were served and then the third, but no sign of the fourth. Finally after a long time server admitted they gave the fourth meal to someone else. They didn’t charge for fourth meal but the food didn’t finally come until everyone else was done. And the noise! It was so loud we couldn’t hear each other. This was breakfast and the noise level seemed excessive.
This is not our first time to DND but may be our last. Food great but service needs work. I know mistakes happen but we expected a higher level of service at this type of restaurant.
How have we never brunched here before? Food was delicious. Our server, David, was one of the best we have had dining out in awhile.
Can't wait to go back!
We sat outside on the patio (much quieter than inside) and had a delightful brunch. The crab cakes benedict were delicious. A very good combination. We also had the hash browns for the table. The were very good other than a few bites that had a bit too much salt(but only a couple of bites). Champagne wasn't served until 11:00 but was served to us right on time. It was a lovely experience but a bit pricey.
The food at all
Of Dante’s restaurants is superb.
Brunch was delicious and service perfect
Food was really good, but the main misstep was the service. We had one server for the entire patio - he was working hard, but couldn’t quite keep up. We were there for nearly 40 minutes before we had coffee on the table. I’d maybe try this again, but for a brunch that ended up costing $96 - I expect the wow factor.
Great service and food was excellent. All three of us were pleased with our orders.
I heard this being hyped as one of the best brunches in Cleveland and I must admit it was really good. The Benedicts are incredible. Duck fat potatoes are incredible and a great deal - perfect for the table. Also shared some strawberry shortcake pancakes. I had only one complaint... they cook their strawberries in the glaze causing them to become soft. Why do even high-quality restaurants do this? Glaze should be made separate and should be poured over fresh strawberries, slightly warming and softening the outside but maintaining it's texture in the middle.
We went for brunch and were able to sit on the back patio (technically Dante's patio). It as amazing! Great ambiance. I had the shrimp and grits and I believe they were the best grits I've ever tasted. I also had a spicy cucumber bloody Mary which was very spicy (they weren't lying). The food took a little long to come out but it was worth the wait. I would definitely recommend this place.
I love brunch, but I don’t love $50 price fixe brunch costs. I love the fact that you could order off a menu here and was really satisfied with the meal. Great neighborhood. Great restaurant.
I will be back
Got in for brunch right when they opened on a Saturday, were promptly seated on the outside patio for a beautiful morning. The Crab Cakes Benedict was delightfully savoring, and the Smoked Salmon Croissant was fresh and complex. Wish we had room for more!
service was superb, food very tasty and came out at the right time. I had a great Father's Day brunch
Took my family and dad for father’s day. The service and food were great .
We sat on the patio. Very nice and peaceful. Service and food were great. Especially the cinnamon bun.
Had a wonderful Mother's Day brunch! Food ambiance and service was excellent!
Wonderful Mother’s Day celebration. Food and seevice was spectacular!
Mother’s Day brunch
Was able to secure a table for 7 of us to celebrate a birthday. John was our guy and brought the birthday girl a glass of campaign for a toast. 5/7 of us had the brunch special- The Morning After and it was amazing. We had 5-star service, would highly recommend and will definitely return.
